  • Demonstration of a Auto Bed Leveling procedure. Ramps 1.4, Micro Switch. (Yes, I know I still need to finish off a cleaner bracket for the servo arm).

Looks great. I want to use microswitched instead of induction etc as well. Can you tell a bit more about how you did this? For example which firmware you used and how you configured it?

Dennis, While this setup in now close to 4 years old and still works. Its built into Marlin. all you need to do is add your hardware. in my case a micro switch. then then wire it into your Board. in my case a RAMPS board. then just turn off and on the desired software switches in Marlin. by now its been done a zillion times. look for ABS or ABL and then just use the micro switch instead of the Prox sensor. feel free to msg me of you need more help. but Im guessing someoen by now has a How To. -Thanks and Good luck your hardware may differ and require some modifications.

No worries its all good. I did build several out of Plastic. but to make it work they were too weak. After several iterations/fails . Alum was the answer. Once I finished it? it never failed since. But yea Most 3d people think plastic is the answer to all problems.

    how is the deviance?
i heard servos aren't accurate enough and cause variance

For me it was more than accurate. That machine is now a backup of sorts. for experiments But I still use the servo. I hope that helps
