Tanto que chega uma hora que eles não aguentam mais e param de produzir. Isso aconteceu com todas as empresas de animação no fim dos anos 60 e início dos anos 70.
Not only that, but the best comedy in general especially the ones from 1944-1946 by James Cullhane. The Barber of Seville one is rated #44 on the greatest cartoons of all time.
Nice, can really use it as an example of how much animation at Lantz dipped especially by the 1960s. So, how's your Lantz documentary video coming along?
At the risk of being that "what clip is that one" guy, what the heck cartoon is at 1:54 where Woody's all angular and groping at the air, stomping about?
I still watching the woody woodpecker show from 1957, but i never seen the 1960's and 1970's Woody Woodpecker cartoons, do you recomend to me to see it?
I could see that it has gone from good (1940 - 1958) from decent (1958 -1963) to just cheap and just unappealing (1963 - 1972) meaning that Walter Lantz's Woodpecker went for over *32 years!*
Can someone help me out here? There's a WW cartoon where he gives a pair of crutches to someone, but they're shotguns, which go off just as the guy starts to use them. Anyone know the name of that one?
It's for a gag, I'm pretty sure. Woody's voice occasionally changed in the older shorts to accommodate a gag. A notable example is the ending of Pantry Panic.
@@FuriousMan226 I did also thinke funny the changing on voice in "Busters Last Stand" when Woody beats Bonga(Name of the ingenous tribe chief's daughter here in Brazil)with a stick(3:07) ,Woody sounds like a parrot

3 minutes of Woody chaos
I love how you can tell how the animation budget slowly drops as the decades roll by.

the 40's woody shorts are the best, they have the best woody animation

I love how despite the animation quality, it's consistently chaotic.
I love how the 70's are so simple and it's still one of the most iconic versions of the woody woodpecker
Oh heres it 3:03-3:30
God this is so gloriously unhinged, just Woody at his finest.
woody woodpecker is one of the few cartoons I've seen every episode, at least this version

Eu tinha um DVD com 50 episódios. E eram esses do vídeo. O 1° era "A vassoura da bruxa", de 1955.
I personally don’t speak Portuguese, but the short you’re referring to is Witch Crafty (1955).

1972 was when the shorts ended.
The 1950s-1972 Woody Woodpecker shorts art style look like Hanna-Barbera art style.
