I think if Shaq did not have money, he worked as a truck driver or any thing he would still show compassion to people. I believe it is not money that makes him generous but his heart.

my Shaq story, I work for NBC here in Houston, and we had the All-star game one year. Back stage at the shark bar, everyone wanted a pic with Shaq, SO i'm holding everyone's phone taking their pics, and when they were done everyone scattered, I'm like damn I wanted a pics too, then Shaq said hold on, let me take a pic with my man first. so of course everyone was rushing to get my phone so they can take the pic, Classy guy

Who in the right mind can dislike this video?? Shaq/Dr.Oneal! Is a fantastic man! I’m glad he is doing the right things that his parents taught him. This shows on how much he values his parents and on what they say. Then he is proving everyone wrong. Kudos to you man! You put a smile on my face shaq/Dr.Oneal. You definitely earn the most upright respect !

You might have given in secret, Shaq but God saw you and loved you for it. Those who give to others so men can see them and praise them already have their reward.
They are exactly as you described.
You have yet to receive yours so be as God would have you be. We can do no more in life then to live as Jesus would have wanted us to.

People give to be seen, (some). That's wrong, you give from your heart. God sees and knows everything. Your blessing will come from above.

So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
      Matthew 6:2

I had a co-worker once tell me she ran into Shaq outside of a blockbuster (this was years ago) Well Shaq was stuck out there because his bodyguard locked the keys in the car. My friend said she was struck by the fact that Shaq wasn’t mad in fact he was friendly to everyone who approached him.

This crap still goes on today, hate when celebs pop up out of nowhere when there's a tragedy and film themselves/tweet about it. It just proves they're doing it for the glory instead of because they want to.

    • @melchormendoza

does it really matter though, that they just do it for the publicity? everything a person does has an ulterior motive anyway, say someone helps another without the publicity, some do it for tax purposes some do it to feel good. does it really depreciate the help given? say for example you were one of those people in the hurricane thingy (knock on wood) would you deny the help that is given by those people?
