Use a mixer or an interfase, connect the Android device regularly as if you want to play music onto the mixer which needs to have USB connection to the computer. This is because almost there is no existence of devices that can be used directly to transmit data. Everything is made for Apple.

@@abdulfarish2499 Depending on what you want to stream, if the audio is coming from your computer such a DJ unit and a microphone just connect an output to the iRig and then to your computer, in this case make the audio source coming “external”. If the stream is done with iPhone there is an app, iRig Recorder. You use it to “activate the external audio source, the leave it on the background and open whether FB or Instagram... VocaLive is from iKMultimedia, the manufacturer of the iRig, that app does not work with this device, nor as an audio source for it.
Hi, I tried with the open camera app, but it doesn't work. I think it's because it has a separate headphone jack as well as the USB C. Power to the Irig is required through the USB -C, but audio is separate. Bummer. If you have a suggestion, I'm all ears. Thank you.
Hi That's not the reason, you have to go to the setting in the app and find the audio quality and video settings then look for the audio, and set the "source" as external when available or so. If that stills does not work then is the phone itself that don't allow it.

The Camera app works exactly as the built in, the difference is this app allows you to record from an external source, many phones do that without the need to get another camera app, but many others don't.

@@neriistanbul5677 yes you can do. As far as I understand… Put GarageBand in your phone and the same time recording? No in one device only. In order to do that you need: An iPad or MacBook or iMac where you can open GarageBand to both open an audio track for voice and the backing track. Then use the iRig Stream on your iPhone to record. If your phone is Android, you need to check if it works with the iRig. Remember that you need to open the iRig app and leave on the background.
Hola, excelente video , quisiera saber si con un telefono android se puede directamente emitir en twitch o similares , sin necesidad de usar el ordenador, y como configuar para que desde mi mixer pased el sonido del irig stream a la retrasnmision de twitch. El iRig stream necesita que la app iRig este abierta y funcionando en el background. Antes de usar el stream tienes que abrir iRig Recorder, si aún no la tienes debes descargarla de la play store. Por otro lado la app de cámara debe tener la capacidad de aceptar una fuente externa de audio, para poder habilitar que reciba la señal del iRig Stream. Luego y muy importante, no todos los dispositivos Android pueden hacer esto. Por lo que escribes parece que sí. Antes de grabar o transmitir, abres iRig Recorder y apenas ya la app está lista para “grabar” no la cierres, ahí ya la luz azul debe pasar a verde. Abre tu app y deja funcionando iRig en el background. El stream a veces sin el app iRig recorder funciona, pero eso tiene que ver con la actualización del OS, al cambiar el firmware puede que no trabaje directo hasta que la app se actualice a ese OS.

I don’t know what’s your purpose, but if you want to connect a microphone, you can go to internet and browse “Android interfases”, surely you will find any that have the direct microphone connection, for example the iRig Pro, but take in count there are many Android phones that are not able to do this, for example, many Samsung models don’t. Just follow the video to see first if your device can record from an external source.

Hola… eso es cuestión de gustos. Recuerda que es una app muy básica y al fin y al cabo, la única capaz de aceptar una fuente externa. Entonces tenemos el dilema: “eso es lo que hay”… si fuera iPhone estaríamos inundados de apps para escoger. Lamentablemente Android no es un buen dispositivo para musica de manera profesional.
I just check with my wife's Android phone and it is there ready to download and install... what can happen is the country's configuration of your device that make unavailable the app. That happen all the time. This one does it. But just to let you know there are certain social apps that even though your device is doing everything well in stereo, the video upload may be in mono. I have experienced that. For example when I do a Live on Facebook and when I finish I download the video and save it in the camera roll, the video that is published is mono, but the one saved in my phone is very nice stereo quality.
@@sonumwave This doesn't happened to me as I only want to upload to YT. Now I use cheap Behringer interface and recording sound from Boss Looper to my tablet it records only one channel while recording video simultaneously. This might also happen if devise such as tablet doesn't allow to record stereo sound while filming. Although I have topt of the top Samsung Galaxy Tab 7. Much older smartphone from Samsung records on that config perfectly in stereo but front camera quality is poor and Open Camera app is lagging.
@@AdrianBlackfire74 This is the problem with Android devices, is unpredictable which is the best, since I have tried only with a Samsung Galaxy 8+ and two Motorola devices, the Moto G/ (2019) and now the Moto One Ace 5G (2021). What I think is not correct is to use another interfase than the iRig Stream, you need to use it alone, and bring the audio signal directly whether from the headphones out or set a couple of linked channels from your mixer.
I tried to connect the irig stream on a tablet android huawei MediaPad T5 and doesn't record well, some noise comes over the recorded audio track I recorded what could be the problem?!
We need to see some things, make sure the camera app that comes with the tablet accepts external audio sources, as result of a recommendation I dowloaded the "Open Camera" app since what you probably are hearing is the sound that comes from your tablet's microphone, in fact I have, well, my little daughter has the same Hawei Media Pad T5, and I did it perfect, but with the Open Camera App, don't forget to go to the app settings and select the audio source as "External".
You hear your voice because your phone’s camera does not accept external audio sources. In iPhones this is automatic, you just connect a cable to get the audio and the camera app recognizes it immediately, you don’t have to do anything. But in Android, NOT all the brands and model into the same brand can do. First try to install the app OPEN CAMERA, with this app you are able to configure it “when external audio source connected” it accepts the audio from another source besides the internal microphone. If you try this and still got no audio, you need to change the phone as I did, from a Samsung to a Motorola.
Just to make sure, the app's name is "Open Camera" not "Open My Camera". Not all the Android phones are capable to record from an external source, what brand and model do you have?
@@destinybenjamin9242 I am in the same point… I don’t know what is a mi phone, no model as well… but at the end if you don’t see in the camera options, not only the open camera app, the built in app that comes by default the “recording audio from an external microphone or external source” the phone will not work for what you are trying.
@@destinybenjamin9242 get rid of that phone, buy: Motorola, Samsung or Xiaomi, these brands were tested by me and they work. Unless you are willing to buy an iPhone… that one don’t need to do anything, as soon you connect an external source it will automatically change the input.
Because I don't have need to use that, never tried, but my logic thinking say that depends on the mobile device you are using, many brands, many features, find the correct one for this purpose is the big deal.

Hola!, tres respuestas: 1.Correcto. La cámara que viene con Android no sirve, explicación? claro!, el app de cámara de Android no permite una "external source" de audio. 2. Es correcto también, la única aplicación de cámara que permite una entrada "externa" de audio es Open Camera. 3. Open Camera desafortunadamente no soporta streaming, solo video. Es decir si grabas un video cuentas con Open Camera para tener el audio de otra fuente, pero las aplicaciones como Facebook, Instagram y RUclips de por sí, se cambian automáticamente al micrófono interno del aparato, y esto no es problema de Open Camera sino de esas apps en particular. Lamentablemente Android como lo he dicho muchas veces en materia de nosotros los músicos son juguetes, no sirven de mucho. Por el contrario un iPhone trabaja con todas, sin faltar una, las interfases de audio, de hecho están en principio diseñadas para IOS. Para Android aún no hay nada serio...
@@sonumwave amigo le comento que compre el dispositivo irig stream, tengo android 10 en el moto g9 plus y la camara de android funciona sin problemas. El dispositivo acepta la fuente externa. Llevo solo un par de horas probando.

Try to set opencamera folder (to save the videos) in an external memory (the micro SD card) Other things, permissions on your phone settings. Last: use another Micro SD Card.

As I said on the video, it don´t work on all Android phones, in fact they don't work completely on my Motorola MotoG, they work only for regular video, not for streaming.
Yes, and I already specified that it works NOT on all brands of Android devices. As a matter of fact by that time I had to sell my favorite Samsung S8+ to get a Motorola One because I couldn’t never get the audio from an external source. I have both Apple and Android and is comfortable for me to put on the support the Moto One instead of the iPhone, which is a way lot expensive than the Android.
Al menos en el par de dispositivos Android que probé, un Samsung Galaxy 8+ y un Motorola Moto G7, la app de Facebook utiliza el app que por defecto trae. No intenté borrando la app de cámara para que quedara solo Open Camera por defecto. Me investigué por horas y son contados los modelos que aceptan o cambian a la nueva app de càmara. Le escribí a la companía iK Multimedia y ellos me dieron una lista de marcas y sub modelos que es tan extensa que ya al minuto no recuerdas que leíste. Prueba eliminando la app camara de fabrica y deja solo el app Open Camera..

iRig is an interfase. When you ask if it can be used without interfase... since it is itself an interfase obviously you don’t have to use any.

I been tweaking on this for weeks 😩.. good concept but I still hear NO MUSIC only my voice ....

Open camera keeps giving me video corrupted messages and wont save the file
Try to set opencamera folder (to save the videos) in an external memory (the micro SD card)
