This is probably one of the most satisfying stage videos in Lawl so far! My favorite ones were the two Homestar Runner stages, the AVPM stage (nice song selection), and of course, PU Mountaintops (I really liked the song selection here, plus how the sailor pauses the action of the stage rather than directly damaging fighters). In addition, I like how Edd's Crappy Stage changes its format depending on the remix playing (my favorites being the Mr. Nezzer and Globglogabgalab ones). Still, what a wonderful way to end June and bring Lawl Beatdown back in action! BTW, thanks for the shout out in the description.
Your Lawl must have the best stand animations, just seeing their body language tells so much about their personalities. The stages and music selection is perfect too. I specially love how you managed to adapt Undertale entirely in a single stage.
none commented on my old one so I shall do it again which stages/which franchise would mashup with & which guy would attack it you want fyi those who do comment will be featured in my lawl beatdown stage fixing 1
Shad. This was AMAZING. All the new characters had great idles while every new A attack shown off was incredible, the new stages and the gimmicks for the new and old were amazing and hilarious, and that music mechanic was pretty awesome. This is my new favourite stages video and I hope for another amazing one like this in the future. And good luck on the next video!
With a vid this long, I was expecting a superb stage showcase, and I didn't just like this vid, I loved it! First things first, stages looked as good as they did in the moveset videos, and it was fun to see the characters move around and do stuff rather than standing still, with the stage hazards being a highlight (specially the one on Dan's stage holy shit it was hilarious). Being able to see alternative versions and competitive alts was a good decision. At first, I was about to say that my favourite stage was the Dreambubbles, as each one of the three transformations was well designed and I adored the music selection (specially from Vriska's part), but then it was topped by New Home's fanservice to the entirety of Undertale, which was then topped by Tokyo City and its "each music gives it an hazard" mechanic, only to be finally topped by the Mashup stage. I knew that trend was going to be nodded upon more than just "here's a playlist", and the idea of a stage where you can play any single song is just enough to sell me on the idea, and seeing my ear-destroyer being on the default list caught me off guard. Definitely would play that stage the most, specially while playing Jojo music to have the wonderful Speedwagon look at me at every time. I am also oddly hyped for that doc you mention in the description. I'm always up to see what do the creators have to say about their music choices.
I’ll have what Miro’s had But seriously, heh, hehe, hahaha *bursts into laughter* I’m sorry, but this is just too good! It doesn’t stop at having outstandingly excellent picks in tracks + track order, editing, animation, character idles (Potter with the freaking guitar, Tord packing serious heat, each Gem with their weapons already out, such brilliant calls!), stage design, stage IDEAS (that was easily the best way anyone could have paid tribute to Neil & The Ultimate Showdown, an online classic, stage wise). With this stage video, it’s all the more clear just how much you love and appreciate the world of the internet, and everyone whose contributed to it over the years. From hilarious, very much iconic online series, to musical passion projects from fans, to even the internet’s love for more underrated, obscure cartoons, pretty much every major corner covered beautifully. With the grand climax being and I ain’t memeing, a love letter sandwich, the bottom bread being your admiration for a hilarious web series made by such a great guy. The meat being the good/ amazing people who make up this community showing their admiration for your work (that and following a fun trend). With the top layer being, something that legit blew my mind for a while. When stages were first announced, I originally thought this’d be a nice break for me and writing long comments like this 1. Upon leaving for the first time, it was contrarily to initial thought, an appropriately titled “Beatdown” of the senses. From the bottom of me robit heart, I want to thank you ShadBad88, for both playing a part in this fantastic community, and for putting in your very best despite personal life (from someone whose had a part time job for a while, I gets ya dude). Oh and major thanks for getting the word out about Those Chompers. Something tells me this’ll be the most viewed, recent Maclean related vid for a long time.
Amazing, absolutely amazing. I don’t want to say much considering people have already done that but just....AMAZING! The stages were unique and not boring at all. The stage hazards (especially the one’s in Tokyo City) were pretty cool. Love the stage alts. The stage’s themselves are amazing. My favorites being Tokyo City for the amazing music (I rly need to listen to Neil), Warfstache Rooftops for the stages hazards and song choice although I think you could’ve added a couple more. And of course, Edd’s Crappy Jukebox. Who would’ve known that an in-joke in the Lawl community would become a stage. You sir a brilliant. I’m excited to see what you have in store especially Tord and PBG’s movesets. As always Shad you never cease to amaze me. P.S. I love how you combine all the Undertale Stages into one slot considering Undertale has a lot of potential in terms of stages. That’s a smart move. Anyways bye c:
Damn, what a treat. I really love all the special little hazards you gave to some of the stages. And the new idles for the new characters are all so good, especially PBG. By far the best thing about this video was the stupid fuckin meme stage at the end, which was scripted so perfectly. The stage alone gives a message to everyone that the Lawl community is one big, happy family that loves to make quality content for our viewers.
Shad is now legendary to me in Lawl! 1. Strongbadia was quite faithful! 2. The Field's 2 forms are incredible! 3. The Homestuck stages are great and I haven't even seen it! 4. Eddsworld is one of my favorite RUclipsrs, and judging from Tord's idle and the stage alts shown (Nice Touch) I think it's one of yours, too. Durdum Lane and ASDFland are 2 of my top 5 favorites in these, they're so faithful and amazing to the show! Great music, I can't even! Brings a tear to my lazily photoshopped eye! 5. LA LA LA LAAAAAAA, LAAAAAA, LA LA LA LAAAAAAAAAAA! 6. I need to see more of Markiplier's non-gaming videos! 7. Never seen AVPM. I have to, now! My family is full Harry Potter fans! 8. The Greatest Stage Vid Freakout Ever! 9. Anya and Colin's Memories make me interested in the To The Moon series! 10. WARNING! UNDERTALE OVERLOAD! Great stage! Packed so much in one stage! 11. PU Mountaintops - PU Mountain - PU! 12. I know you must like The Witch's house, but I'm actually scared of Witches, period. (Thanks Ronald Dalh.) 13. There is a PSYCHO UNCLE?!? btw good stage 14. I need you to make a video of the background in the Tokyo City stage with "Ultimate Showdown" Playing. It has to be done! 15. THIS IS THE ULTIMATE BEATDOWN! OF LAWL DESTINY! 16. Battlefield that is not Battlefield. Nice. 17. Edd's Crappy Jukebox is Genius! Thanks so much for having mine and thanks again for the stage! This has been the best stages video I ever seen! Thank you for making my day! (Believe, you did. I got bit by a fish today.) Hey this got hearted! Thanks again *AGAIN*
Well it's about time! My favorite stages seen here are both of Homestar stages, (I like the gimmick with Bubs giving the players items on The Field), Warstache Rooftops, New Home (Like that it covers most of the iconic locations from Undertale. Also, what's with W.D. Gaster?), "Good Ol PU" Mountaintops (the gimmick with the bearded guy who "freezes" the match was pretty funny), Tokyo City (My personal favorite of this group, the music gimmick is genius, plus the other music tracks here were amazing), and Edd's Crappy Jukebox (the playlist idea is pretty awesome). All around, great set of stages, plus a look at the new characters in action, (by action I mean seeing their Idle's), made this worth the 2 month wait! Looking forward to Tord's moveset (honestly so ppl will stop asking :P)!
You win the award for best stage showcase-a-ma-call-it in Lawl history...for now, at least. We see stage hazards, quality music choices (the nostalgia bat hit me as soon as I heard Draco's theme from PS1 Harry Potter, which was also used for the PC game IIRC; though the best HP game to me is CoS on PC), interesting gimmicks involving the music itself, and a stage dedicated to a meme related to this series, which is just the cherry on the greatest sundae in the universe (and a way of saying literally anything can be Lawl and as a result I vote that we find a way to make a new internet rule for Lawl because Legos)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa This is the best stage video ever made, there i said it. Before this video i saw stage videos as nothing but filler and music choices (with no offense to people like Skap and Cheesy who have probably done them best) but this video turned the whole genre upside down. We got **actual** stage hazards, characters doing stuff, CLIMBABLE LADDERS HOLY SHIT and as much as i don't like competitive stuff, competitive alts were dandy to showcase. My favourite stages were both H*R stages and their beautiful stage alts, Very Potter Musical (fuck YES to Malfoy's theme), Dan Backslide's Stage (best choice of music ever, fight me), ASDFland, both To The Moon stages, Ultimate Showdown, the FUCKING LORE STAGE and of course, Edd's Crappy Jukebox (Ole is Canon). I've never loved a stage video as much as this, you really know how to revolutionize the game Shadlad.
You're missing some tracks here for these stages. You're forgetting Heart - Barracuda for Quire Family Backyard since that song was featured in Greatest freak out ever 8, and The Ultimate Orgy of Homosexuality for Japan Tokyo City.
Shad I have never seen a lawl with such good ideas for stages, characters, and mechanics. I see a bright future for you shad. And with tord next. It will be a thunder of excitement. Thanks shad.
Oh hey this was great,my favorite is definitely the lemon demon/niel ciciguera stage, also I liked the previews of future characters idle stances also does the clips on beatodwn training grounds are based on the characters on the current match cause thats cool

I really love all of these stages, especially all the unique hazards (Undertale constantly switching to different locations, the plane in the TtM stage being frozen in time to use as a platform, Bubs selling the opponents random items, the list goes on.) My only critique is that some of the hazards should have a more noticeable indicator before they happen, like the pickup truck in Psycho Grandpa’s stage or the lasers in the Ultimate Showdown stage
You know, I don't want to critisize, but someone has to mention this: If this would (or will/is) be an acual game, the calm melodies aren't the best choice. Yes, I know, they're verry beutiful, but they're not the best choice for a game, in which you're contantly fighting untill someone wins. You're not gonna even hear the calm melodies, or they'll "throw you off". I'm sorry, but someone had to say it. Now, litterally everything else you did, showcased in any video about "Super Smash Lawl" is awesome! I love Tom and Tord's attacks and I think it's awesome Frisk can choose her game strategy!
Again, I've seen the meteor and timer in Homestuck-related Lawl videos, and Sko has enlightened me that there is a constant threat of this digital world blowing up, and yet nobody puts the dang meteor in the Homestuck stages!
Now that was an awesome stage showcase. I especially love the Edd's Crappy Jukebox stage, cause you're crediting literally everyone who made a Meme of that song. (Lol, what made you guys even WANT to do that to begin with?) Can't wait for mah fellow weeb, Tord Larsson.
One question, do the elevators in the Holland stage do anything? I ask this since we see what's above them (even a tiny platform is up there) so I'm just curious
Question: Since Experimental Film was created separately from Homestar Runner, would the characters from the show appear if it was chosen or would John and John show up?
Amazing work like always, every single stage is fun and interesting, the music selection is great, the hazards are even better, overall everything is explendid. My favourites are PU Mountaintops (probably my favourite hazard in all of Lawl btw), Tokyo City and Edd’s Crappy Jukebox. Looking forward for Tord and all the other characters, as well as the bonus videos. Just have one question: The water in Ridgway Residence is just a visual effect or is it a hazard who makes the fighters trip?
Where's Karkat Vantas from (the game/anything else)? I'm assuming you use characters on their home places, and the only Dreambubble thing I know is Bill Cipher's weirdmaggedon dreambubbles, but I don't think this is that.
Hey, I know this may sound odd, but do you think I could be in the game? I'm planning a show called "Cartoonatics" and I kinda wanted to be here too since it's evolved so much! I'd always watch an episode of Smash Bros Lawl Beatdown! and I think if I was in game, I could be the strongest character in the entire game. and I would use the Sword of Starlight as a final smash that causes stars to raindown and an unavoidable giant star to kick everyone of the battlefield! So, do you think I could be in there? what I look like is in my avatar, I could share you a full body picture. also if I was in the game, I could tell you some stages there would be. 1. Star City Skyline - Cartoonatics [The stage takes place up the city's skys and the world's largest tower, the only threat is bats and airplanes] 2. Silhouette Mountains - Cartoonatics [This stage is completely black with a beautiful sunset as the background, becareful, shadow people can come out and attack at anytime!] 3. The Dimensional Rift - Cartoonatics [This is the ultimate stage and it's like Final Destination, but more menacing and more amazing and beautiful! The remains of Master Hand will attack you by ramming into you at random and shooting lasers around the stage]
Do all the different Bubblescape transformations have different music, or are they all randomly chosen at any time, and the stage just has a shit ton of songs?
The 5 shown per transformation only play on that transformation. The song shown at the Comp. alt can play on all, and they all play on the Comp. version as well
oh fuckin hella g fuckin g du d e i loveeee thisssss s s it’s really late/early so sorry if my comments a bit weird :U this was funnnn tho i like the undertaker stage the most tbh
Hazards Off; Strong Badia: The ghost tablet thing still spawns, but doesn't make any platforms. The Field: The shop has its doors closed, and you can therefore not get items from the fat man. John's Home: No change. The Dreambubbles: One section of the stage is chosen randomly and does not transition. The hanged creatures do not spawn in the pink forest, and the bridge in the castle section cannot be broken. Durdum Lane: The stage cannot appear in its apocalypse look. Aesthetic changes only. asdfland: The roller coaster is in the background and doesn't damage fighters. Warfstache Rooftops: The man who fires the gun never appears. A Very Potter Hogwarts: No change. Quire Family Backyard: The pool is empty and the pool toy isn't there. Anya: The leftmost platform stays in its highest position and does not move. Colin's Balcony: The plane stays in the middle of the stage and remains frozen. New Home: The stage stays in the New Home section and does not transition. PU Mountaintops: The strange man never spawns. The Witch's House: No change. Ridgway Residence: The psycho car never appears, and the wall on the left spawns and stays broken. Tokyo City: The stage always appears in its hazardless form, regardless of the song. Beatdown Training Grounds: No change. Edd's Jukebox: No change.
can you make mashups for the stages here are ideas strong badia (homestar runner x ytp) the bouncy park (pbg x jojo) johns home (homestruck x undertale) can you comment on my comment for more stages

LOL, hell yeah for Barracuda.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Stephen's riff taken from an existing song?
@@MrGameguyC I honestly don't think so.
Shad
I have never seen a lawl with such good ideas for stages, characters, and mechanics. I see a bright future for you shad. And with tord next. It will be a thunder of excitement. Thanks shad.
6:11 Nice secret animation with the song. I like it. ;)
Can't wait to beat some random dudes while Space Is Cool playing in the background.
Also, again saying, *I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS.*
Oh hey this was great,my favorite is definitely the lemon demon/niel ciciguera stage, also I liked the previews of future characters idle stances
also does the clips on beatodwn training grounds are based on the characters on the current match cause thats cool
A stage that has gimmicks influenced by the music. 1. Why hasn't this been done before? 2. Holy crap that's a fantastic idea and I want it in all video games from now on.
I love all of the stages and I hope that more awsome stages come in the future
The "HP CoS PS2- Hogwarts Castle Day" music brings back so many nostalgia memories.
I had to go to sleep before I finished the video, but now that I watched it…
That was AWESOME!
New songs from Asdfland:
• Lil Deuce Deuce - I Like Trains
• Lil Deuce Deuce - Mineturtle
• Lil Deuce Deuce - Everybody Do the Flop
• Lil Deuce Deuce - Beep Beep Ima Sheep
Finally, and this -was- -will- WAS -probably be- worth it
I really love all of these stages, especially all the unique hazards (Undertale constantly switching to different locations, the plane in the TtM stage being frozen in time to use as a platform, Bubs selling the opponents random items, the list goes on.) My only critique is that some of the hazards should have a more noticeable indicator before they happen, like the pickup truck in Psycho Grandpa’s stage or the lasers in the Ultimate Showdown stage

I'm sorry, but someone had to say it.
Now, litterally everything else you did, showcased in any video about "Super Smash Lawl" is awesome! I love Tom and Tord's attacks and I think it's awesome Frisk can choose her game strategy!
You left me whitout words
This video stage is awesome
3:23
And i thought chengdu gardens was more catchy
And for the warfstache rooftops i reccomend the boat dog remix
Again, I've seen the meteor and timer in Homestuck-related Lawl videos, and Sko has enlightened me that there is a constant threat of this digital world blowing up, and yet nobody puts the dang meteor in the Homestuck stages!
8:00 AWESOME! I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS REMIXED INTO A SONG!
PU Mountaintop’s stage hazard is absolutely genius.
13:55 WAIT HERE GASTER!!!!!... He's he gonna be a charcter? OMG That would be GREAT.
Actually...he's just a guest from Lawl Liquid Crystal.
Just found this and realized how cringe I was 5 years ago.
22:38 What a Shout out! At least you didn't add any of Austin A's Crap
Here's a Crappy Austin A Example ruclips.net/video/JFyoPL4GZHw/видео.html
Out of all these stages
I never thought of one based of those Edds Crappy Memes
The Warner bros stage as an acme acres feel? Major tiny toon adventure vibe. I don't have a problem with that cause I am a tiny toon fan
who uploads a lawl vid on 3am
ShadBad: **wakes up** OH BOY 3AM!! **opens laptop**
Spongebob Squarepants refference!
This Stage showcase video kicks ass! :D
The Stephen Quire stage was hilarious!
I WAS WAITING FOR THE PBG STAGE 👌🏼
It's not here yet.
If Smash Bros Lawl becomes a real game, maybe a flash game because Nintendo hates us, then SIGN ME UP
Out of all of the stages shown, Edd's crappy Jukebox has to be my favorite
Coltoon 64 Same here
Same
Well shad really *pu stage hazard comes by* ahem shad really put some thought into the stages
HYYYYPPEEEEEEE! I'm gonna enjoy tord's moveset :)
We need every version of Megalovaina before we can fight on the jukebox stage.
I love Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny!
1:40 Red Vines: What the hell can't they do?
Now that was an awesome stage showcase. I especially love the Edd's Crappy Jukebox stage, cause you're crediting literally everyone who made a Meme of that song. (Lol, what made you guys even WANT to do that to begin with?)
Can't wait for mah fellow weeb, Tord Larsson.
You could have used the unused Homestuck song "Patient" somewhere here! :O
It's about diddly darn time
Sad, that my own edd's mashup song wasn't included!, cause i didn't released it.
I felt that a*s coming
15:24 you did not just put in the to be continued theme
One question, do the elevators in the Holland stage do anything? I ask this since we see what's above them (even a tiny platform is up there) so I'm just curious
13:53 gaster is joining lawl soon confirmed
15:25 to be continued...
Where can I find the house of the brothers strong melody?

AYOOOOOOOOOO
Question: Since Experimental Film was created separately from Homestar Runner, would the characters from the show appear if it was chosen or would John and John show up?
Wait we have the Battlefield but where is Final Destination?
Amazing work like always, every single stage is fun and interesting, the music selection is great, the hazards are even better, overall everything is explendid. My favourites are PU Mountaintops (probably my favourite hazard in all of Lawl btw), Tokyo City and Edd’s Crappy Jukebox. Looking forward for Tord and all the other characters, as well as the bonus videos. Just have one question: The water in Ridgway Residence is just a visual effect or is it a hazard who makes the fighters trip?
Amazing, as usual!
Nice stages, I especially liked the Eddsworld ones.
19:49 the only song needed
is there gonna be a beta/ alpha coming soon
I want this to be a real fan game
It will be soon, look up DemicStudios
This is cool but I want to see the character select screen
wait does lawl beatdown have an discord?
I WANNA JOIN!
Tokyo City and Edd's Crappy Jukebox blew me away.
Imagine if you did our own version of the Edd's Crappy Mash-Up meme.
Best video
Will you ever do a Classic Mode?
Where's Karkat Vantas from (the game/anything else)? I'm assuming you use characters on their home places, and the only Dreambubble thing I know is Bill Cipher's weirdmaggedon dreambubbles, but I don't think this is that.
Homestuck
5:08 frisk music undertale sans
I can’t decide between Edd’s Crappy Jukebox or Tokyo City as my favorite. Great job, dude :D
Also, will these stages have Kruel KOs like OG Lawl?
Keep up the good work, but don't overwork.
Lol
Ford yeah
Not a single FNAF song on the Markiplier stage?
Excited for the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game?
Do all the different Bubblescape transformations have different music, or are they all randomly chosen at any time, and the stage just has a shit ton of songs?
The 5 shown per transformation only play on that transformation. The song shown at the Comp. alt can play on all, and they all play on the Comp. version as well
22:04 nerf amethyst's up tilt, too much range
Sorry I'm late, but this stage video makes all of the other stage videos look like crap! (Sorry, other stages videos), Nicely done!
Homestuck has #1 music

Hazards Off;
Strong Badia: The ghost tablet thing still spawns, but doesn't make any platforms.

The city stage should have a “‘The Ultimate Smash Bros’ by SMG4” mode
