    Well done on 6k subscribers. When I've been at CF in general skiing conversations I've mentioned your channel.

      Cheers! We finally got to 6k and really appreciate your support... At the moment I think I'll post about 3 or 4 videos a week and experiment with shorts in-between.

      @@ChasingSnow u r well come. As I've said you and other skiers who do the same provide a sort of public service via videoing the runs, so skiers who haven't skied them before will know what the run actually looks like, so no nasty surprises awaits them. Off to Ellis Brigham in Manchester tomorrow to see what their ski guy recommends from my 13 ski list, and in tow or three weeks I'll be getting my own for practice at CF. Going again on Tues : 10am - 12 noon.

      @@Puzzoozoo sounds good... it will be interesting to know which skis are recommended...

      @@ChasingSnow Just a heads-up about my visit to Ellis Brigham in Deansgate in Manchester this morning.
      The best I can describe it as it was…inconclusive. But out of that list what got a tick and what they stock was the K2 Disruption 76, Salomon Stance 80, and once again the Rossignol Forza 40 also got a verbal thumbs up. All the other ski’s they either don’t stock, he hasn’t skied on them, or they would be going into all mountain terrain, and not suitable for me at my current skill level. AND regarding the Stockli CX the ski guy has never skied on them.
      SO, after my second practice session at Chill Factore next Tuesday, I’ll go to Ellis Brighams branch in Chester the next day i.e. Wednesday, with the 13 ski to see what their ski guy says. Hopefully he can be more enlightening regarding Stockli, and the CX.
      And THEN as a final ski info source irrespective as to what the EB ski says, I’ll go to a small dedicated ski shop in Saint Helens, i.e. venturaski.co.uk/ next Friday.
      There are no other ski outlets around Warrington, so with by then a shortlist it’ll be decision time for me, and I’ll be purchasing either a CX or one of its rivals dependent on what the seasoned skier ski’s guys collectively have told me.

      @@Puzzoozoo OK, Stockli is a vrey Swiss thing from what I have seen... so not sure how much luck you will have in the UK. I would still ask about the demo option, so you can try before you buy....

    Well deserved 6k subs, now 10k before next season starts.

      That would be nice but the channel tends to go quiet off-season... I think 10k during next season is definitely achievable... however, I'm going to experiment with shorts so we'll see...

      @@ChasingSnow I have to ask you its something we have been discusssing the last few years....the weather. In your opinion has the seasons weather gotten more unpredictable and changeable in recent times?

    • @ChasingSnow
      @ChasingSnow  5 месяцев назад

      @@martinfey578 The past few years have been within the norm in my opinion. This season we got lots of snow in Decemeber. In February, we got a warm patch, which has been quite common over the past few years and then good snow late season... though yes, it's been a bit warmer. However, speaking to other people, the whole season has been good on the higher resorts. I think we are going to have to wait longer and see what it's like... but I'm always optimistic and think the next few seasons will be great...

    A bit slow, but the scenery was magnificent. I don't recall you doing a video on this trail before, or at least not with that road exposed like that. I guess a traffic accident with a skier is a possibility. I wonder if one's auto insurance would cover the skier.

    • @ChasingSnow
      @ChasingSnow  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, slow and dreamy :-) I ski beside that same road when I do the Vallon d'Arbi run, coming from Verbier, but I haven't covered most of this trail previously... I would think insurance would cover any accident...
