My Myanmar military coup journal!
So I am finally releasing my diary! I have had to remove a lot of footage due to safety reasons. Also each video was taken on the day and in the moment and some may come off as insensitive however my emotions were up and down like a rollercoaster.
Since I evacuated, it has gotten increasingly worse. In my last week in Yangon we could not leave our apartment without risk of being shot. There was constant gunfire, teargas and more, all of which I heard and witnessed with my own eyes. The protests started peacefully on the 1st of February and since then, it has turned violent. It is a straight up massacre.
They are dragging people from their houses in the night, killing them, before raiding the hospitals to drag bodies from the morgues to hide the death rate. The targets are teenagers, mothers, fathers. The people of Myanmar have fought for their democracy and refuse to stop now.
Myanmar is full of heroes, brimming with strength and determination. But sadly, that is not enough. I have friends who are in jail, friends who have gone 'missing', friends who have lost loved ones. They need our help.

Sadly yes :( the British government have advised/ told people to leave so we kind of have to :( I think it’s the same for many
