In the words "faith alone" Martin Luther added the word "alone". If faith is only required, why are we commanded to do the Charitable Works of Mercy ? Sacred Scripture in its written form (Bible) is NOT the complete Word of God. You do not have to read James chapter 2 to know we are required to do certain works for salvation, not for our justification, but for the glory of God. You cannot be a member of the Body of Christ if you continually rupture the unity of his Body. Also, in able to read and interpret the Scriptures correctly, you need the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to guide you. Why should anyone believe in your interpretation of the Scriptures ? Matthew 25:31-46 is NOT about Christ coming back at the end of the tribulation . Matthew is talking about Christ's Parousia which is the glorious return and appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ as judge of the living and the dead, AT THE END OF TIME, the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST. Do you need Scripture references ? Because you believe in the stupid rapture which was invented by Protestants 200 years ago, you have misunderstood all of the Scriptures about the coming of Christ. You believe 1. Thess. 4:16-17 is about the rapture, if you study that verse and use some common sense you will see that it is not about a rapture, but your mind is too contaminated to do that.
My interpretation of scripture? All I did was read the verses for what they say. Instead of spiritualizing them and not taking them literal as most people like yourself do that don’t rightly divide.
You said Matthew 25:31-46 is not about Christ coming back at the end of the tribulation. But then you say it’s about Christ coming back at the end of time as the judge. That’s the same thing buddy. Check out Revelation chapter 19.
False: Paul bever says Faith alone. It was always Faith plus Works. Faith Alone was wrong since James wrote that to correct Paul or more specifically those who mistook Paul. Remember it is almost always "Both/ And" and not "Either/ Or". James teachings also align fully align with what Jesus Christ taught as well. If James is Not a Christian Book how did it get into Christian Scriptures? (The New Testament) One last point James was the teacher of Paul, not his student. Sincerely in Xto Mike B. B. Paul never says faith alone? Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Paul also says faith alone here. Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
