Hi, there. I'm catching up with you long after you did this video but wanted to say I really enjoyed your 'waffle'. Checked prices on this little panorama monster you described and see they've gotten silly! However, I have a Minolta P-twin bought a ways back that I've never used. It has a 30mm lens and panorama option, so may give that a go, should be similar results to those you got. I liked a lot of the shots you made with the Riva and think your eye for composition is notable, so keep on keepin' on. Cheers. Bep from Halifax, NS, Canada.
Thanks Brian, I'd be interested to see hwo you get on with the P-twin. These cameras have got silly money - it's a shame really, but a sign of the times I guess...
@@HamishGill I've not no... If you can send me the link please. I did read got can do mirror portraits and push the angle so the camera is not in the shot
@@dangerpowers123 www.35mmc.com/20/05/2019/initial-experiments-with-a-leica-m10-p-and-a-nikon-35mm-2-8-pc-shift-lens/ Yeah, you can - some odd things can be done with shift lenses, but for me, it's all about the architectural stuff
Appreciate the stream of consciousness and really enjoyed the pictures as well. However, could you expand a bit on what you mean by not cropping the black bars out and this helping you enjoy shooting a bit more? Usually, the black bars won't even be noticeable if said photos are enjoyed fullscreen.

love it man, never shot with a panorama but I am really digging the cinematic effect!
film camera love it 🎞🐰
Enjoying your videos! Would love a video showing your camera cabinet.
Nice shots Hamish. Reminded me I’ve been meaning to shoot my Riva Panorama.
Cheers! I'd say get out there... but...
Thanks for the new video. Look forward to hopefully more during the lockdown.
I'll try and do another next week I think - it doesn't seem like the most unique or interesting video format, but I don't suppose it matters too much
@@HamishGill yerr I feel the same...and with all this extra time ...why not. I'm tempted to do s video on the 35mm PC Nikon tilt shift lens
@@dangerpowers123 Do it!! Great lens - have you seen the fun I have had with it on my m10?

I quite like the image out of that Riva. Nice one man.
so, you got rid of the X-Pan but still enjoy shooting the riva? wow :)

Yeah, I just mean I don't remove them from the scan. It's like a nice extra limitation when shooting it knowing I'm not going to crop in post
what is your process of digitizing the images? Looks great!
I have a lab scan flat then I post process them myself to taste using Lightroom. The lab I chose uses a noritsu
Would I have to ask the film lab to develop film from this camera any differently to film from other 35mm cameras?
It’s just normal c41 process colour film
So no, just send it in without any specific instructions
Doesn't the Minolta need a DX-Code?
