I find it perplexing that Sotheby's hikes the prices sometimes more than double the original listing. I was looking at a house in Great Falls Va, a few years back. It was originally built 10 years before for $2.5 then sold around 2018 for $4.5. It went on the market in 2019 and listed for $5.7 ish...then Sotheby's listed it for $11.5 . Ridiculous. (For the record, the house wasn't for me)
No way it sells anywhere close to list. What the video doesn’t show is that this place, while beautiful, has an awkward, choppy layout and flow. It’s also on the busiest central street in town with non-stop vehicle and foot traffic.
But I don't get the fact of living in a place so isolated like that, of course to go on vacations yes, but I wouldn't buy a luxurious expensive penthouse for just go there from time to time.
