Thank you ever so much! I never thought the formant filters could sound so lush until these choir patches came out, was a right surprise! 😃 the micron is the absolute king of FM - hands down, the most versatile virtual analog synth, the best Fm engine & an amazing sound design tool :)

Really amazing work, once again. Honestly if this was a blind listen where I had to multiple choice pick what instrument these sounds were coming from, I wouldn't guess the Micron, or any VA really. Many of them sound like really great presets from 90's / 2000's romplers. Some sound better.

Thank you! Nope not yet I’ve not even spent that much time on these presets, they just kinda “happened” and sounded so good I thought I’d share them before the website launch (just been working on that most of my free time) I did however find a factory preset that sounded very similar to that synclavier patch you mentioned, while I was going through the machine to delete some factory sounds I didn’t like/need as I’m running out of space cause of all the custom presets haha!

It is very underrated, but the most underrated would be Kurzweil V.A.S.T. synths: even when their capabilities are lauded, people only know or use around 10% of their full potential. I could create a Micron in a newer-generation (from 2008+) Kurzweil... Imagine that.

100% VA, just look at the Filter models and the number of them, or listen to the punchy V.A. version of Analogue Drums. The overall sound of the Micron is quite good. You can hear differences when changing the filter models and the resolution of control over parameters is fantastic, but the digital nature is there too, probably less than older V.A.s apart from the AN1x. Super powerful, but suffers from a couple of common complaints by the usual suspects (much like for Kurzweil V.A.S.T. synths): "not enough real-time control, too much menu diving".
