This is what I put into my 2025 event deck when I say everyone was going first and doing burn. I basically grabbed 20 different counters to effect damage and 20 trickstar cards to burn them if they don’t quit the duel. I got my rewards immediately after the change. I’m now running the deck to bully anyone still going with burn in the event
good they deserve it. i slapped the silly out of them in event with a control deck that basically spammed anti spell fragrance so the burners hate me right now XD
I enjoy this theme when it happens, I just wish they would rein in the list for cards that make participating in the event not enjoyable in the slightest.
Playing Tenpai with Eco and Hanewata against the counter decks is so funny, because their counters literally don't do anything! Although I can't do anything against burn decks if I don't manage to draw either Eco or Hanewata, if I draw at least one counter against the burn players, they are cooked the next turn as well! I could add Leonidas, but I don't want to craft him just for this event!
I run branded Tax Dragon so that I limit my opponent to 1 card activation (i summon 2 of them) during the entire duel. If they have something like Raigeki, I have Branded Opening to protect it.
Tbh i put also secret blast inside the deck, cause if you don't own enough spells for take down the oppo and he/she is so sure to destroy your trap cards they will take 1000 damage freely

Some good burn counter cards I use are Clear Kuriboh, Destiny Hero - Decider, and Dream Shark.

I like that you did take that 1000 because the duel was technically over so hanewata and leonidus don’t stop it
Actually, don thousand makes both players lose 1000 lp, it doesn’t do any damage.

3 hanewata, 3 rain goat, and ancient gear explosion.
I made a Superheavy Samurai FTK with Giant Kozaky for this event, if anyone lost to this deck, it was probably me hahahaha
I guess I don't need a d/d/d joan d arc in my extra deck since I found this hidden gem

I ran gimmick puppet and they just instantly quit
