Gukesh Deserve it. Kramnik/Kasparov were talking how this championship doesn't count as World championship as best player magnus is not playing. I mean Magnus stopped playing Championship from last championship. That's why it was between Nepo & Ding. At that time, i don't think Kramnik or Kasparov were saying such things as Nepo a fellow russian was playing at that time. I think Magnus is still the no.1 player until someone surpasses him. But it will happen in next 5 years.

I saw a video of Kasparov completely trashing Nepo after his elementary blunder against Magnus in the World Championship match. I don't think Kasparov favours Nepo because he is Russian.

@@himanshupandey7047 doesn't matter because kasparov became world champion by beating karpov who became world champion WITHOUT beating bobby fischer who quit chess (walked out from championship) so basically gukesh's position = kasparov's position , also gukesh is just 18 and his peak is yet to come

I get your point, but Kasparov has been a persona non grata in Russia for most his life. I don't think he's all too motivated by patriotism due to his upbringing and his parents teaching him to think for himself most of all.

Fabi almost secured a spot in the Candidates. I have a feeling he will surpass Magnus in the rating list, win the World Cup and the Candidates, and then challenge Gukesh in the next World Championship. He truly deserves it after all the hard work he has put in over the last few years.

well he is not that creative player, his risk taking ability is also less. Most importantly with mediocre seconds it is hard to see the light.

Fabi is very honest opinion about Gukesh, very clearly mentioned that Gukesh fighting to wincthe tournament is his attitude that makes him world champion, world is not ready to welcome the young Gukesh who is under rated nit in the top players for past the year. Even in India Pragg and arjun were high rating than gukesh valued more, but Gukesh fighting spirit makes him create the history. No one knows what ahead in coming years. But surely next wirld championship match and its qualifying tournaments will be interesting and definitely Gukesh has to hold his seat in the roller coaster.

While Gukesh is an incredible player, with an outstanding personality, we should not dismiss the fact that many things had happened over the last few years that paved the way in one way or another for Gukesh to become WC. Now, the ball is in Gukesh's court to prove everyone wrong, same as Ding had to deal with over the last two years

    THE SCIENCE BEHIND GUKESH VICTORY
The science behind Gukesh victory. I know we are all curious. Here is the answer ! Lets connect the dots.
Indians do well in chess cause, India is a 3rd world country and indians are hungry for success. The rest of the world of competing nations are not 3rd world hungry as India.
So what happens is you get people from south India who are genetically and mathematically superior in intellect from the north indians and you see this phenomenal rise of south indians in chess mastery especially from the state of Tamil Nadu. You however don't see this among the north indians despite all their efforts . Compared to south , north indians are 2nd ,3rd rated players. And data don't lie. And statistically Tamils dominate the chess scene .
The rest of the south are offshoots of the Tamils genetically .South Indians are a distinctly different ethnic race despite the general term Indians. This is quite often forgotten, that south indians and especially the tamils come from an ancient civilization unlike rest of India and Tamil being the oldest language in the world Google .
In conclusion india will continue to do well in chess and predominate in the south but we won't see this in the north. How often have we wondered why north indians don't feature as the south indians ? Now you know the answer ! DNA ! In conclusion chess is not an all pan India sensation but is a south indian phenomena ! Thus, we can expect more Gukesh, Pragg and Erigasi's in the coming days ! Yes keep your eyes on the south and Chennai the mecca of Indian chess !!!

Please don’t post such stuff which segregates people based on their DNAs. This is purely racist.
TN does well in chess as it’s much deeper rooted in their culture. Just like wrestling or kabaddi or even hockey is deeper rooted in the Punjab/Haryana culture.
TN does well in chess and the northern states do better in the other mentioned sports.
Similarly, the top music composers and singers are of Bengali origin as its music is much more deeper rooted in their general culture.
I think it’s about what you’re exposed to growing up, which may influence your interests and career choices much more than your DNA.
