Thank you for being so transparent with your tips and your sales. It really makes me feel less terrified. I’m going to my first craft market in a few months
Please do more market videos 🥰 im yet to build the confidence to sign up for my 1st market im hoping to do so near xmas this year as I've only been crocheting for 6 months. It's really nice to see how your market went in the UK as that's where im from. And congratulations 🎊
@@MelonMakes I am hoping to do more markets and videos i actually have one planned for tomorrow but the UK weather is not looking good as usual! I am glad you liked the video !
You did amazing at that market! If you did that well at a summer market you'll smash it if you do any Christmas markets. I always find they're way more profitable than markets at any other time of the year
I am preparing for my first market and I have been watching many crochet market videos for awhile now and I can honestly say that yours was THE BEST I've seen!!! THANKYOU for sharing ❤
I got into crochet about 7 months ago and recently got invited to a local market from my partners family. I was so nervous before i saw this. Thank you so much for all the tips!
Great video! Markets are so fun! I havent done one in a while as life is quite busy right now for me. I've been mainly desiging patterns and working in some custom amigurumi orders. I am hoping sometime in the near future I can do another market! Keep up the good work! Your amigurumi's are absolutely adorable 🥰
I have been searching far and wide on youtube for some UK based Market videos!! You have answered my prayers haha Love this content!! Look forward to watching the rest of your videos :)
I just finished my 4th market, one thing that helps me is as I'm practicing my setup I make a complete inventory list, and then the day after the market I look at what is left and I can cross off every thing I've sold. This way during the market I can interact with customers without having to stop and write down what is selling.
Hi from the uk too, your the first market prepping uk video I’ve seen and I’m soo happy for you. I started market prepping then realised I need to have all the ukca and che conferment stuff. Do you have any advise?
www.makeuk.org/-/media/eef/files/brexit/ukca-step-by-step-guide.pdf Aww thank you so much for the support ^^ this is a super useful website, most UKCA information can be found on the gov.Uk website x
@@InnoScent_teddiesI'd be super interested in a video on the testing process! I feel like this is always put across as something that makes selling in the UK impossible...
Love the video! i recently started selling my crochet at markets and its nice to find some other uk people documenting their journey too! cant wait to see what else you create :D
The eeyore is adorable. are you able to let me know where you got the pattern from? I am just a casual crochet-er and its great to see a UK market vlog finally! Subbed :) x
I saw a few comments asking about the ukca marking on your toys, and also watched the video… but I have a question on the keyrings, did you test these? And we’re the keychains you bought from Amazon unclothed stainless steel? I’m struggling to find any that’s why I ask… you’ve got a wide range of toys, did you make these in this size and then burn them all? I’m dreading destroying the first toys I make for the testing process 😩
I personally use James C Brett flutterby yarn, all the certificates are on their website have a watch of my other video "how to sell handmade toys in the Uk" for more info x
Thank you for your top tip. I am having my frist big Easter craft fair on 30th. I just wondering if i need any permit for selling amigurumi toys in uk? And how can i get it, please? Thank you x
I have been watching some of your videos because I am trying to get through the UKCA pack to test my makes. I so need help with what paperwork I need to have in my technical file would be nice for a new video how to fill in on computer. But my main question is did you have to test every single item on your stall
thank you for your comment, you can use due dillgence to a certain extent for some designs that are similar and only have a few difference otherwise you need to test all the different DESIGNS. My most recent UKCA info video talks more about due diligence in it :)
@InnoScent_teddies Thanks so much! I did see that after I sent the comment 🤦♀️ I will definately stay tuned! It's so cool to have a talented British crochet channel!! Thank you! 😊
Id be very careful selling pokemon as they are trademarked/copyrighted. Do you have signs saying they are for decorative purposes and not toys? If you are selling them for children how are you dealing with the safety issue and needing to be safety tested etc?. You say this is your new business, could you tell me how you keep track of whats sold as i imagine its different to selling online and having the orders like that to print out for accountancy purposes?
Thank you so much for this video, so many helpful tips. Can I ask do you need a business account for a sum up card reader? Or did you set it up to your personal bank? I’m not sure how it works but think it will be worth investing in. TIA 😊 @crochet_by_kirsten xx

Thank you for all of your tips. I’m doing a market in October and now I feel way more prepared.
Ahh cool you got this!! Best of luck!

Brilliant! I never thought to use my wire blocks in so many different ways
They were so useful! I saw loads of people using them at Comic-Con/ other markets I went too and instantly knew I wanted to use them for my own!
I love the cat holding the heart ❤️

What type of pymt's do you accept? How do you take the debit card payments at these events?
Hiya I used a SumUp machine I will try to cover it in a bit more detail in my next videos x
Are you selling in the UK? Did you have to get a CE certification to sell plushies?

UKCA video now live!!
First time I’ve seen a video where someone is making and selling in the uk, I live in West Sussex, lots of luck with future markets
how long would you say it takes you to prepare for a market?
I started properly preparing a couple of weeks before hand to build up stock, order bits from Amazon and do a run through
Love
Do you UKCA test your plushies? It’s a legal requirement in the UK to do so
