ELDEN RING, a board game? Why wouldn't I just play the Video Game?

This is probably the worst battle system I've ever heard of simulating Soulslike combat.
I'm disappointed to the core of my heart seeing the combat system butchered compared to Dark Souls Bordgame combat. No ranges, no positioning. I really don't get why you need miniatures if they are just exchangable by tokens anyways..

Isn’t that the case with any miniature? You could change them out to tokens?
