I have a question regarding RecipePro+. I am getting an error when trying to create ‘Generic’ recipe. The error is "Unable to create recipe file 'Generic' at HMI Server". I have already created Generic, Grape and Orange recipe instances on Studio 5000. I am following along your paid Batching Station course from your website. I do not have hardware but using emulate 5000. Have completed around 35% of the course. Please let me know how to move forward as future lectures depend on this RecipePro+. Thank you!
Even though I am using virtual plc, it is communicating FactoryTalk View Studio 10 via RSLinx. I can successfully simulate the plc program on FTV. Issue is with using RecipePro+, do you how I can fix it? Thanks Shane.
I would make sure that the HMI security settings are set up correctly & that when you use the HMI client that you are signed in with the proper credentials for the use. This is the first thing I would look at
You must define a valid tag name for any defined ingredients in the RecipePlus Editor Ingredients tab or you will get this error when you "Upload and Create" a recipe during runtime.
@@ShaneWelcher Thank for the replies Shane. I have tried to re-create it again now and issue is still there. As soon as I open RecipePro Editor and right-click 'Recipes' and enter new 'Generic' name, it throws an error "Unable to create recipe file 'Generic' at HMI Server". I cannot create any tags on the RecipePro editor as it is not letting me after that error. I tried 'Grape' and 'Orange' and no luck. After reading your advice, I ran the HMI SE Client, then went back to FTV to create the 'Generic' recipe and it throws the same error. What else I can check. I am following along your lecture and HMI security settings was not covered till this point. I did not set any HMI securities either so technically it should work.
@@oliesting4921 please go my back & watch the videos where I made the first recipe, follow those steps exactly. It sounds like you are not making the tag structure. Send me the file over email, I'll check if you want but it's best if you figure out what you could be doing incorrectly. If it worked for me in a step by step video then it should work for you
we have a lot of rockwell-factory talk hmi.s, they seem to work once all the stuff is setup. of course the rockwell-hmi with-pc failure is common. great video and thanks a lot...:)
I have videos on VBA code on the channel, please use the search tab on this channel & type in VBA. All of my videos for this topic will appear. Then just watch the one that shows what you are asking Yes, you can read/write plc tags using VBA code
