Carving a full upper wax rim against the lower natural dentition by Finlay Sutton

6 clinical steps are required to carve the wax rim to prescribe the artificial teeth positions. Scooping out the palatal surface of the wax rim is often missed - to prescribe an overbite resulting in perfect teeth positions.

great video although I don't understnad the over-carving of the gingiva. seems a bit excessive on this case but this video is quite helpful as a technician showing my trainees how to to contour a rim

Hi Finlay, how do you know where to carve palatally? Do you heat the upper wax rim and have the patient bite into it at the desired VD then carve it out posterior to the indentations?

Most Honest Prosthodontics on RUclips and/or I’ve ever come across! ♥️🇨🇦🌏🦷 My dental surgeon dentist is my first cousin and I swear to God he does not know how to make dentures or partials Dodgers example of my mother and myself mother is gone. I am serious upset and I cannot confront my cousin because we are related and he’s just not gonna listen blah blah blah and my partial I’m not happy with the upper and the lower is just for one tooth I don’t know why I did it should’ve got an implant but I’ll just leave it at that I know of anybody to get a screwed into my jawbone, yikes... Wearing upper metal partial 3 front, right side incisors, plus 2 molars. But he would not place a back left molar on the upper partial what I am not happy I got gaps between my upper partial because he shaved down too much and he would not let me put on my appliance when he came back out on the two gees on myself first because he never knows how to put on an appliance my mothers issued for a full dentures were probably low car in partial and they were horribly made cheap cheap cheap cheap should’ve went back to my alumni school to get them done.
