We need to lose Holmes once he's healthy and some of the dudes we barely play so we can try and get a young rim protecting 4, like a Mobley, Jabari Smith Jr, Myles Turner type preferably that can shoot 3s. MPJ is a good sized wing but he is too skinny and not defensive minded enough to consistently play the 4. Gordon is strong and athletic he can play like Jokic does in certain lineups and is a good lob threat but he isn't the best shot blocker or rebounder. We need a true power forward cause the big man is definitely back, Denver needs to capitalize on their tall ball system and get a 4 to matchup good with teams like Celtics, Cavs, etc. It's funny Lakers need a Jokic matchup and Nuggets need an AD matchup. I can already see if Lakers got a big like Valanciunas AD would shut MPJ down. If Denver got a Mobley they'd be unstoppable. Especially with Russ a tall lob threat with good switchable defense would love to play in Denver.
Russ is fine. He does what he can do. But Jamal is playing like 🐂💩. He needs to understand that if he can't play like a All Star he is useless. I don't give a crap about Playoff Murray beacouse Ant is killing him every time Timberwolves and Nuggets play. Not to mention SGA. Plus he is robbing them 50 million dollars per year. Nuggets have a worst front office in the NBA.
He keep ball-hogging and dribbling for hero-ball. It's totally not Nugget's basketball at all. We need him like that but he should keep the ball under 5s and look for a pass. That style costed Nuggets many missed shots.
offense=100% defense=trash! they should only switch when it's not creating mismatch on defense and for Jokic atleast put your hands up to bother the shot when they attack the paint it's so horrible
@ WHY SAY SO?Braun is explosive like Westbrook so they can understand each other better, and Murray is the better scorer so he is better coming off the bench than westbrook,Murray has elite level playmaking like Jokic too he can do it,so if he comes off the bench that might be real something
@Ah-nf2vs it's not gonna happen sadly. I'm sure there's a starting clause in Murray's contract saying he is guaranteed a starting position and a certain amount of minutes when healthy. If it were me I'd lose Murray and get a tall mobile big that can rim protect. Even if it's not one of the better ones a Nic Claxton could do wonders at the 4 next to Jokic.
Russell's play style is the style that adapts to the team and Murray's play style is the style that leads alone, so I think it's best for Russell to use as a starter and Murray as a bench leader
They only have Gordon to defense properly. They had +14 when Gordon was on court. Numbers don't lie. Perimeter defenders is what they need now. Westbrook is a good addition to their offense, yes. However, their defense is awful.
What a bad take on so many levels. The keyboard warrior behind the keyboard picks a high scoring back and forth game to highlight imaginary defensive issues. If the keyboard warrior had been watching the Nuggets all season, they would know that several Nuggets players (Watson, Jokic, and WESTBROOK, among others) have been playing stellar defense all season. They are still gelling as a team due to injuries and lineup experiments but the keyboard warrior SHOULD know all of this.......
Joker is the problem 76% of the time on defense. He waits to take the ball out of the net instead of stopping the lay up. He confuses his team when he semi double teams then runs away, giving them a lane. He needs his hands up more, and he needs to figure out how to guard a big with range.
You can't contest a layup effectively with no vertical. Denying the second chance opportunity is far better than barely contesting layups. Teams like OKC and the Houston Rockets are averaging around 5 second chance scoring opportunities this season. Against Jokic, that's basically going down to 0 which means Jokic is denying those possibly 10 extra points per game. He isn't "semi" double teaming. He's contesting passing lanes before getting back on his man. Jokic's strongest defensive tool is his hands and he wants to hover around the passing lanes to use them, obviously. And the way you guard a big with range is you don't. Source: Wemby. And a big like Jokic doesn't guard "at range". That's called having your perimeter defenders do their job.
I mean he does a good contest when they are challenging him physically (running straight at him trying to play a bully ball) but if they are using speed and agility most of the time he just can't keep up without fouling them. So he let them shoot just standing near them and waiting for a miss. For Denver he is way too valuable on offense so fouling on defense is much worse for him then let them finish
@@RubInWax Exactly. Plus, points in the paint is not what's costing Denver. In their 2022-2023 season, Denver was the No. 1 seed in the West despite allowing more points in the paint than this year. Opponents shot over 60% within 10 ft against Denver that season compared to under 60% this season. The difference is Denver is allowing almost 3 more 3s this year. That's a whole 9 extra points. Perimeter defense is their problem, obviously. That's why they needed KCP in the first place. He's literally one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. This narrative that Jokic's rim defense is why Denver can't win a ring needs to stop immediately. That's like saying the Bulls were held back by Jordan's 3 point shooting or that Kobe was squandering the Lakers in 2006-2007 because he couldn't facilitate scoring opportunities for Smush Parker. No player is elite at literally every facet of basketball.
Denver issue is their defense and TO. Stats shows what they allowed opponents to do and its high in the category 3pts, assist, steal. They lack strong perimeter defense. Another issue is that sometimes they arent moving and playing as a unit. TO happens a lot. Offensive wise the denver is at contender lvl we can also look their efficiency are high compare to other contending teams. But defense wise just make them subpar. MPJ really needs to improve his defense, CB just need to stay consistent same goes julian.
It's a good team. Jokic is out of this world. But Denver has gotta defend better to have a solid chance of winning the championship this year.
We need to lose Holmes once he's healthy and some of the dudes we barely play so we can try and get a young rim protecting 4, like a Mobley, Jabari Smith Jr, Myles Turner type preferably that can shoot 3s. Sounds good to me!!
@@lotuslife3239 Apparently, Nuggets wants Yabusele for the Playoff run ... could be a decent solution, for far less money.
I believe almost every fan base is saying the same thing about their teams. Very few teams actually defend consistently.
we talking denver here
they know for bad defense and great offense(one of the best in the league)
Denver is playing old school basketball. Great to see this again
Glad you notice it too
Afro murrray something different
I like what I see
I couldn't stop laughing 😂

Give the ball to Jokic, he only gets involved when the game is on the line
he's the only man in the league, that has more touches the ball per possession, that the number of team's possessions
just saying

That foul in the end.. lol
Two or three fouls on that play
CB so fire
That "brother" hairdo of Murray is hilarious😂
I don't know what happened during that 45 bomb he dropped on dallas, but the blue arrow is actually back now
It’s fucking great that Murray finally got his layup skill back.
It's still very close, but a win is a win, good work. Good luck next time, mates 🍻
My heroes
jok didnt see embid for 5 years now...
I hate the pace of the game when Murray is on the floor. I don't care how many points he scored...
Agreed

Jamal 1v9 Murray
hes not an all star caliber player - hes super good to be sure but he's inconsistent
Proud of yall Lets get back on track NUGGETS
This team lacks def ngl. They need def lockdown player
How in the world was that last made shot by Jokic not a foul as well
Murray still that guy, numbers are crazy.

Refs are too soft now to defend anything
nuggets defense is really woeful

Padding stats huh?
They wont win shit if they dont get their defense together.
Everyone stays and practices defense again and again. OK
on average - if you let murray shot more than 20 shots a game, you are facing potencial loss

big balls from riding...
