Hello...I love always following along on all your videos...!!!
Please forgive me if I miss-spell something in your language...I only understand spoken and written Japanese at a parochial level...
May I ask some professional questions about this method you are teaching in this video?
When I practice or teach students scribing posts to stone (Hikari-tsuke - 光付け...or...Hikari tsuke to ひかりつけ - Hikari-tsuke) I use a method I was taught for work on such stone plinth foundations (Tamaishi kiso - 玉石基礎...or...geulaeng-ijil gibeob - 그랭이질 기법) which starts with "roughing-in" the post bottom by only sometimes (with some students) using the "Reed Ruler" (Osa jōgi - 筬定規) to copy the stone's contour to the post, as you have shown, but this is not a common method or process for most I have studied or worked with...
Most of the time, only a "Compass" or "Bubble Scribe" (Kuchi hiki -くちひき...or...geulaeng-ikalgwa 그랭이칼과) is used for such work...
Do you ever just use a compass (Kuchi hiki -くちひき) for scribing post to stone?
    Thank you...

Use Osa-jyogi to make a rough shape and then use a compass or Kuchi-hiki to copy the shape more accurately.
In the end, whatever you use, it's enough if you can copy the shape.
However, the pillars are heavy, so I think copying with Kuchi -hiki alone is a really difficult task.
Osa -jyogi has been around for a long time

@@suikoushya Brilliant response...and thank you deeply for your time to reply. I love your channel and as I work during the day I look forward to seeing a new video when you post them...
I'm currently building another all-natural traditional house project here in Souther Iowa that rests on all stone plinth foundation stones. I will be posting it soon on my Instagram account and look forward to your comments should you choose to share any...I would love to sponsor a workshop here in North America (someplace with you someday. "Mr. Chickadee" has a channel here on RUclips and is a dear friend. I have been mentoring his work on and off for some time and his workshops are wonderful. A dull workshop between you and he would be a huge success I'm sure.
Thank you again for a wonderful response and I'm (very much) enjoying following along with your current project!!!
      Blessings,
      j
