When I first heard this song, I was a little girl and it was Aaliyah singing it. That intro. It stopped me in my tracks. Did my research and discovered it was a cover. The Isley brothers - wow they really did they're thing!! Aaliyah went on to become one of my biggest forms of therapy. That angelic tone, the ridiculously beautiful delivery. It gave me comfort as a kid and through my teens up until now. A real RnB queen. So this is my lil acoustic rendition, my payment of homage to baby girl on her birthday tomorrow. Her legacy lives on and this song stays mending and breaking my heart all at once. If you like it, and you LOVE her. LET ME KNOW x
I was a teenager when the Isley Brothers produced this song, I always thought Aaliyah sang it in her own way to make it hers. Now to hear you sing it, I am proud to be apart of all three productions of a song that was sung in your own way. Your innovations in tone and pitch are remarkable Sinead. Great job. I am proud of you!
@@kearria26 It's just called "Million", and samples "One in a Million" though. It's not a direct cover. Just like T.I.s "Dope" samples "Rock the Boat" but is its own song.

I like this version it's nice. But Frank Aaliyah and Isley made it their own. Of course Isley brothers is the original and when Aaliyah covered it it felt new. Didn't feel like a cover. And niether does Frank's it felt brand new. This is nice but still feels like a cover. But overall she sang it beautifully.
I was a little girl when my father had to go overseas for one year because he served in the military. We just dropped him off at the airport, and I was feeling so many feelings. Sadness. I was a daddy’s girl. My mother played this song to ease me. I am now a grown woman with children. I have sung this song to my oldest son since he was a newborn. It means so much to me. Introduced to me in a different way by my mother.

Such a beautifully breathtaking cover/rendition. I love how it allows for Sinéad to really show off her soothing and amazingly angelic vocals. That are some of the best you will ever. The gracefulness that Harnett shows with every note and the vocal prowess, so beautiful and breathtaking. That shows once again why she is one of the best voices and talents of this current great group of R&B/Soul artists that has truly emerged over the past several years. You gotta love how Harnett shows her gracefully classy beauty with the crown she is wearing and also parts of her Thai culture she grew up on throughout the visual too. Really helping bring the breathtakingly beautiful gracefulness of her rendition/cover of this classic song truly to life. I’m sure both The Isley Brothers and Aaliyah are proud. R.I.P. and Happy Early Heavenly Birthday to babygirl 💛
This rendition is beautiful and I appreciate her acknowledgment of Aaliyah and The Isley Brother’s. I’m just curious to why 96 of y’all chose to dislike this song? But I’m not really interested why you made that decision... be safe

Let me know, let me know
Ah-ah, let me know
Let me know, let me know
[Verse 1]
When I feel what I feel
Sometimes it's hard to tell you so
You may not be in the mood to learn
What you think you know, oh-woah
There are times when I find
You wanna keep yourself from me
When I don't have the strength
I'm just a mirror of what I see, hey, yeah
[Chorus]
But at your best, you are love
You're a positive motivating force within my life
Should you ever feel the need to wonder why
Let mе know, let me know
[Verse 2]
Let mе know when you feel what you feel
Oh, how hard for me to understand
So many things have taken place before this love affair began, oh
But if you feel, oh, like I feel
Confusion can give way to doubt
For there are times when I fall short of what I say
What I say I'm all about, all about
Chorus]
But at your best, you are love
You're a positive motivating force within my life
Should you ever feel the need to wonder why
Let me know, let me know, oh
Know, know
[Bridge]
Tell me what it is (Tell me what it is)
There's no need to make believe
Make believe, no need to make believe
Look beyond your own (Look beyond your own)
Try to find another place for me
Find a place, find a place for me
'Cause
[Chorus]
At your best, you are love
You're a positive motivating force within my life
Should you ever feel the need to wonder why
Let me know, let me know
