It's been 8 months I'm paragliding, it's such a great sports but it's agonizing when u have to weight on mountains to wait for the right weather and winds. It teaches patience.
Thank you! It's an amazing place, and if you're an adventurous soul with solid paragliding competences and a bit of Russian or Persian in your luggage you'll have a blast there.
It is not just fun, it is an important propaganda for healthy leisure. Such videos can motivate people to travel, fly and hike instead of just drinking alcohol on the beach during vacation. Tajikistan is a great place, but it was super-safe to travel when it was part of USSR. Now it is adjacent to Afganistan where Taliban acts, so I think the risk was higher than average. From my point of view, you had to find the guide among local paraglider sportsmen and travel with him. Or at least to had the group with 5-8 people. epic. nailing it. keep creating content from your soul.... And one Logistical typical gear question; why was your pod on your pod harness opening? I was just considering getting that harness.
Hi Aaron, sorry for my late reply and thanks for your comment! I thing the pod was opening slightly because we didn't tighten the strap enough and also because one of the days shown in the video Alain forgot to close the pod buckle. After some adjustments we don't have that problem any more and I can totally recommend the Kolibri for this kind of adventure. Happy and safe flights! ;-)

Yes that was basically it - the only provider of a SIM card that we could get as foreigners didn't give us internet coverage for the region we were in, so most of the time we weren't able to check the forecast ... and the few times we could check forecasts they were very basic and not reliable flying-wise.

@@marcolarcher3915 I'm not sure if we have modell 1 or 2 (we're traveling right now), but they have really thought the harness and the bag through very well - lots of space and little handy details for vol-biv. Hope you will have great trips and flights with it!
