This lake is home to me, I hope you grow your channel . I think you have a good style of explaining lure and technique. I will keep recommending your channel
The channel is growing nicely Dana, keep after it. Will be following along as always, learning as we go. Even though we live in totally different parts of the country and fish different types of water, Bass are Bass and your techniques should be productive every where to some extent. I have seen more deer in the water this year than ever before, they are really strong swimmers.
Thanks Don! You are right, bass are bass and they all pretty much behave the same way. I will say these big Spots are something special. They act more like a Smallmouth than a Largemouth.
I have yet to catch them on flukes this year, it’s just not a confidence bait for me. I want them to be though. After watching your video, I will definitely throw them the next time I’m on the water. Great idea with the swivel.
The fluke is one of my confidence baits, I catch a lot of fish on them throughout the year. There is a certain way you have to fish it to be successful. and that comes with practice. Spend some time with them and you will end up loving them.
I was cat fishing in that area with my daughter the other night I'm pretty sure you guys were talking about John I met him and we talked a bit when a catfish stole my rod 😂
Word is the north end turned over and the south end isn't there yet. Maybe that's what you saw where you were. The water would be a bit more brown than green in that case. What was the water visibility like that day Dana?
Everybody you talk to will have a different opinion about the mysterious "turnover". I think it's far too early for turnover to occur, the water has to get a lot colder. It usually takes until around Christmas for the turnover to be complete. I had a talk with the head of fisheries for the DNR who confirmed this. The water was crystal clear, it just had some floating debris.
I fish all over the north end. This video was filmed in the Warhill area, closer to the Chestatee. I do fish in LR some, but I move around quite a lot.
Great Job Dana!! The fluke is putting it to them!! You can't beat the old Zoom!!
Everyone is using the fancy new lures that cost a lot, but the old standards still catch fish.
Looks great!!! I don’t get out much but I love watching your videos to try and stay up to date with what’s working.
Thanks for watching! The fishing should just get better as the water cools.
Great vid Dana, that fluke did some damage, and they were HUNGRY for it, good job
It definitely was a good day for the fluke.
@@FCPFishing Flukes are DANGEROUS this time of year, along with the jig, now THAT’S a one two PUNCH 🎣
A nice large mouth! You guys did good!
It was a good day!

I appreciate the support, keep watching!

Good fishing. I had a little luck with a Sammy last week. After watching I'll be throwing the fluke this week!
The very next day they wouldn't touch a fluke. It has been a weird bite lately.
Great video! Love the deer swimming.
Thanks! I like getting footage like that!
That largie was good sized! Flukes got a little action!
Thanks!
Glad to see the fluke still working
It will catch fish all year long!
I will have to break out some flukes next week. Nice job. We cracked em shallow on craw pattern cranks this past weekend in Wahoo creek.
I haven't had much success with a crank lately, but I don't throw them much. Seems like they want something different every time I go.

@@FCPFishing thanks! Will do.

I'm not sure who John is, but sorry about your rod! I hope you cleaned a few of them Catfish out!
That’s a flashy jacket you are wearing!
It is getting worn out and sun faded. I might need to come up with a new design.

@@FCPFishing Good to know. Thanks so much for your info. The water did appear rather brown in one scene. Will try that fluke set up tomorrow.
Do you normally fish around little river if you will share that

Old reliable got it done.
I catch a lot of fish on the Fluke. It is pretty darned reliable.
What size swivel do you use ?
I switch it up depending on how deep I want to fish it.
What size hook you use for the fluke
I use a 5/0 round bend worm hook. I don't like EWG hooks.
I will try the fluke on Lake Lanier
It’s going to be a long week until Fridays video.
It will be a long work week, but I've already got the next couple videos in the can.
How do u see them
You don't see them until they dart out and strike the lure, but a good pair of polarized sunglasses lets you see into the water.
