ahhh it makes me so sad that everyone's disappointed by Out There Screaming! i'm pushing it off to January for buzzwordathon so if nothing else, it'll fulfill that lmao omfg i searched buzzword books after i commented that first part and was looking into There's No Way I'd Die First and then you held it up lol
I was soooo sad about Out There Screaming. It’s not very horror forward, so be prepared for more magical realism, sci-fi, fantasy-ish stuff. I think having Jordan Peele’s name attached gave us all expectations that didn’t match. Hahaha I need to do buzzwordathon in 2024, I’ve never actually done it. 🙈
I'm so glad that I just discovered your channel - I really want to get into more horror. Now I'm absolutely dying to read Night's Edge - I loooovee a vampire story and the mother-daughter dynamic sounds really interesting! Also glad to hear you prefer Deathnote, I'm just about to start it!
Bright Young Women made me so mad! But it was so good! 👏 I'm working my way through Out There Screaming 😂 I have such a tough time with short story collections Great wrap-up!
Yesss, it’s a frustrating read for sure! Especially since you know it’s Ted. 🙄 I hope you enjoyed Out There Screaming! It’s not what I expected at all!
You not posting a wrap up bang on 1st of the following month gives me hope we're all adults with responsibilities and it's okay if my upload schedule is a bit behind😅 so thank you, great video❤
You’re so sweet, that’s the best way to look at it honestly!! 😅 definitely don’t worry about uploading on time, the people who like your content will watch whenever and whatever you post! 🖤
It's so sad for me to see you not enjoying the short story collections you're reading when my favorite horror short story collection of all time is over your shoulder, At Home with the Horrors by Sammy Scott. Every story was 4 or 5 stars for me and 10+ months after reading it, I still think of some of these stories all the time.
I hate reading months where nothing is good or just mediocre! I really liked Hex 😥 but I get it. Also, Children on the Hill and The Drowning Kind are my favorite Jennifer McMahon books! Lol I haven't read Frieda McFadden yet. I need too!
Right? It’s actually so much worse than hating the books. 😭 I wish I had enjoyed Hex! That’s so funny, I just read her newest and didn’t love that one either. Maybe I actually don’t enjoy Jennifer McMahon. 😅
I put Thomas Olde Heuvult's new book, Oracle, on my 2024 Anticipated Releases list BUT I didn't realize until after that it's book #2 after Hex. Now hearing your thoughts on Hex I will promptly be taking it off my TBR, one, because I don't want to read Hex first, and two, I also don't want to read about boobs and nipples the whole time. Thank you for mentioning this... so many reviewers leave key stuff like that out of their reviews.
There’s a second one coming out?!?! Omg I had no idea. Definitely will not be reading that. Of course! I feel like a lot of people would also feel similarly, especially since I know a lot of you have similar reading taste to me! I felt like I had to let you all know!
My favorite in November was the skull - a tyrolean folktale 💀 it’s very cozy gothic and I feel like you’d enjoy it as well since you liked garlic and the witch.
I've been curious about Monster but scared to start it. I LOVE Death Note so I've been looking for something similar. Never read Erased so maybe I should try that!
Monster is 100% worth the read, it just wasn’t perfect to me! Erased is amazing, less horror though and more mystery/thriller/crime with a time travel aspect! But it’s so intense and has a great storyline.
Out There Screaming didn’t work for me either and I was so disappointed. There were way more sci fi and apocalyptic stories than actual horror and I didn’t care for it.
Will I ever post my wrap up early? The answer is no. 🥲
I’m so glad I’m not alone with Hex! It took me sooo long to get through it
I applaud you for actually finishing it!!
I FELT EXACTLY THE SAME WAY ABOUT THE ENDING OF MONSTER
Wait omg I need to know how you felt about the series now!!!!

@@ErinMegan see this is really good to know lol maybe i wont be as disappointed as everyone but at the same time im not a sci fi girlie at allll
@@JanAgaton me neither I do notttt like sci-fi. 😂

Oh my gosh, hi!!! 🤗 I’m so happy to have you here! 🥰🖤 I hope you enjoy Death Note, it was my first anime ever, so I have such a soft spot for it! 🥹

Ughhh I need to read that one!!!! It keeps staring at me and I’ve only heard good things! I’m gonna try for January I think, I need to get to it.
I thought I was alone in hating Hex…. NIPPLES!?!?!?
The nipple stuff was wiiiiild!!!
Ooof good to know about hex. Gonna skip that one now 😂
You might love it?? Hahaha idk so many people do, so I don’t know if I’m just being picky. 😂
hex's ending was not worth it. It felt super self endulgent and edgelordy
Edgelordy is soooooo right!! I was expecting something better.

THANK YOU!! I struggled sooo much with The Twyford Code and it's great to hear someone else agree
I’m glad you can relate! Did you finish it?? I want to know if it was worth it hahah
I did finish it and the ending was somewhat interesting, but it didnt make up with my frustration with how it was told@@ErinMegan

Omg that sounds so good!! I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it? I’ll have to add it to my tbr!
@@ErinMegan the drawings in it are stunning - highly recommend!

I know tons that do! Everyone likes different things. ☺️
@@ErinMeganand good that we do. Imagine how boring it would be if we all liked the same books 😊 Thank you for a great channel and Merry Christmas!🎄

10:16 this was a meh book for me. I gave it 3 stars I think
It was fine?? I wish it had been a different storyline.
Aw Hex was a dnf 🫢 now I don’t wanna read it either
It’s not worth it lol 😂😂😂
