Well we got a whole Lego Dimensions Portal game and we never got a Portal set beyond the little expansion set for that game. They could have easily made a GLaDOS set but they didn’t despite the fact that they had the IP and the fans were begging for it. So all I’m saying is, don’t get your hopes up too high.
Looks too big to be turned into a set for me... probably they will scale it down for the product, like they did with the bigger builds in The Lego Movie (the Sea Cow, the Construction Mech).
I am SO EXCITED to see that this will be on Switch! I don't have a PS5, but have really wanted to play the Horizon games. This is like a wish come true!
Really thrilled with this game announcement as a Horizon fan especially seeing how it’s not following the usual Lego game formula and their taking a unique spin on the story instead of just doing it beat for beat in a kid friendly way. Really hope this leads to more sets featuring the various machines and supporting characters but also that it leads to more people playing the mainline Horizon games which I think are vastly underrated.
When I saw Guerilla I was like “No way they got the Horizon studio to make a LEGO game! They’re the last people who should be making that game.” And then I saw what it really was and that’s the whole appeal.
If we get more Horizon sets, I’m gonna be unimaginably happy, when I originally seen the tall-neck set it was at a friend’s house and I loved the look of it so much that I went out to buy the set and the game!! They’ve been a blast!!
I did not expect this but I'm excited and hope we get more sets. Huge fan of the Horizon games and this LEGO touch isn't bad at all. Huge step for LEGO working with Sony.
From what i have seen of Guerilla and how there studio works. This feels like a thing they would do. They where somewhat bored of Gritty shooters after making all those Killzon's and that is why they made somthing like Horizon. So I believe Guerilla want to make this comedy pallet cleanser. They want to have fun and make somthing fun. This seams like a act of passion then cooperate shenanigans. You could see that on everything being brick built and following the movement of the bricks. This feels like a lego movie, but just for games.
I don’t understand why there’s so few LEGO games that create fully LEGO environments. I feel like we have the technology to turn landscapes into LEGO models. Themes like Star Wars and Harry Potter are much bigger licenses. If they’re being this ambitious with what I would consider a smaller scale game (that isn’t even launching on all platforms, mind you), I expect to see more from future LEGO games (primarily Tt games and WB).
In previous years, I'm sure that Xbox 360/PS3 and even Xbox One/PS4 would have had more trouble with environments made of Lego as it would require more VRAM to have detailed Lego pieces in the environment texture. Now that's not such a big problem (especially since new consoles have 8GB VRAM), but I think it feels like it hasn't changed since there have been less releases taking advantage of it so far. Bear in mind there has been about 1 licensed Lego game per year recently. 10 years ago that was as much as 3. It's happening, it just feels like less has happened since the Lego game list used to grow like crazy back in the day.
I. Want. That. Thunderjaw! I really hope they will release some new Horizon Sets to go along with the games release, since the Tallneck was one of the best sets in recent years imo. And even if not, I think it could be really fun trying to recreate the machines irl, since all of them seem to be brickbuild ingame. Would be fun to see if they are actually buildable!
Yes please, this looks like a day one purchase. Fill the void until horizon 3 comes out. There are excellent mocs on rebrickable already for the thunderjaw and others. But official Lego models would be awesome.
I love how this year lego is going all out, Legend of Zelda set, A Brickumentary about a music artist called Piece by Piece, Lego Wicked sets (possibly something more as well), and a Lego Horizon Adventures game.
This totally feels not like the old lego batman with it's no talking but, as an after lego dimensions with the talking characters it looks amazing with the og level design
I love the LEGO games. Yes, they are super simple but the story is there. And no it’s not as deep as the source material, but it’s still fun and has a very nostalgia experience.
I love the aesthetic and feel of the Lego movies so I wanna play this for the visuals alone. Hope the gameplay is equally as enjoyable. BOTW/TOTK style Lego Zelda game next? 👉👈
This looks absolutely adorable! I hope we get at least a couple sets to go along with it. I love Aloy as a protagonist, and this might make me replay Zero Dawn lol edit: i hope the switch port gets optimized for that system, otherwise i think that framerate is going to be Really Rough
Game looks great if you're a Horizon fan. LEGO is obviously hoping to expand its fan base, which made me realize we may never get another Ninjago LEGO game, since the buyers of the game would already be LEGO fans/consumers :(
What I'm more surprised about? That this is a PlayStation Property partnering up with a Toy Company with a complex history when it comes to computer and video games to release a more E-Rated entry level version of their game on a console that is from another different rivaling Entertainment Company. If this sells well and has lasting enjoyability to bring in new fans to this franchise and still be the Casual Player title then that's honestly all i could ever hope for.
I just hope this lead into more sets, that'd be a fair compromise since i can't play it on XBOX lol. This was a major highlight of the showcase ngl. Love that the game looks gorgeous and looks like it's very fun, the local co-op keeps the tradition of LEGO games so i'm happy and the LEGO movies/Lego Worlds atheistic is GREAT. The top down angle i don't even mind, kinda prefer it to an Open world game as everything after LEGO City Undercover was the last good one. I hope Tallneck comeback in the new theme/set wave if its made. Excited for this.
Hi jang should I store my lego figs disassembled? I'm buying little plastic bags to put each one in but I don't want them to crack and was wondering if I should take them apart
The tall neck is definitely scaled up in the game, so I’d imagine the thunder jaw would be too. I think a £300-400 set would price out a huge amount of the potential market, so I doubt it would be that expensive. The tall neck was only £80 for 1200 pieces, I don’t see a reason for a £160, 2500ish set, which would be plenty to capture the thunder jaw. I’d say max £200
It looks beautiful and the environments look great but I fear there won't be much to do or interact with in the environment. Part of the fun with traditional LEGO games is all the stuff you can interact with or break in order to get more studs.
I will never understand why Horizon is so popular. It is every single watered down open world action game released in the last 10 years. Imagine if we got lego sets of actually good ps exclusives like bloodborne, last of us, or god of war.
I think they are great games the combat being in my opinion much more fun than other open world games. Plus the most amazing scenery on consoles at least.
I don't play any games, but the Tallneck hit me as a pretty set, and i think i like the vibe this theme exerts a lot! So unless prices are over my budget i might get some stuff when it comes available. For instance the shown monster does look like a €250 - €300 set (i still don't agree with your general pricing of Lego as realistic, sorry JANG) and could be reasonably priced for that big of a set, i'd rather have them slim it down a bit towards €150-€200 as top of the range set and get some more available pricings in that range as well. 2 or 3 sets between €50,- - €80,- something like that, which a kid could collect for a birthday. Thank you for showing this trailer, i loved how the game looked and the comical vibe was fun to watch.
Looks great, but I don't know if the top down view is the better option. No Xbox is a bummer, but being on every other platform is nice, I guess I'll play it on Switch/PC eventually. I really miss the Mega Bloks Halo prototype though, that looked superb :'(
I haven't played Horizon and I probably won't. Probably won't play this either, but it does look fun... And now I'm thinking what other more "serious" games could they do as fun little Lego versions. Lego Legend of Zelda would now seem like a no brainer. But what else could they do? Lego Far Cry? Lego Hitman? Lego GTA? Lego Halo?
The horizon franchise has a few faults, but overall more positives than negatives It also works as a DnD setting for a campaign (I'm tryna do for a friend) If u do ever decide to play the games trust be when I say they are BANGERS that you'll feel like u slept on em, I had this exactly when I played zero dawn for the first time myself defo worth the playthrus and chance given If u decide to Not tryna force you into them ofc, sorry if it feels that way
Lego worlds walked so this could run. I’m hyped to see Lego using more fully Lego environments in their games. With modern rendering tech it just looks so good.
So refreshing to see a LEGO game of higher quality that isn't the same old TT Games formula. They're great games, but it's been 20 years of the same thing.
It doesn't look bad, but I'm confused who it's for. I haven't played that much horizon, but is the gameplay at all similar? I don't see how a 2.5D game translates. This seems like a lego dungeon crawler that was given a horizon skin at the last minute. If anyone can explain please enlighten me.

I appreciate the fact that they tried to go in a unique direction with this game, but Horizon is such a dark and serious setting, it’s literally about humanity causing the complete extinction of all life on Earth and then failing to bring it all back properly, so seeing Aloy just being silly and eating sandwiches and hotdogs and dressing up in funny costumes and basically just having the personality of Unikitty from The Lego Movie is not what I want to see from that character. It feels almost like it’s making fun of the franchise and making fun of the fans of those games for wanting the franchise they like to be taken seriously. I also just don’t understand who this is meant for, it feels like it’s targeted at young kids who’ve probably never played Horizon or even heard of it, but for fans of Horizon this feels way too silly and immature. I know Lego is supposed to be lighthearted and silly and I do like that in most cases, but I just don’t like it here. I don’t know why they decided to make this game if they were going to have to change so much about the story, like yeah robot dinosaurs and animals are cool and they look great in Lego but the complexity and story is all just ripped away from it in order to make it kid friendly and I feel hurt by that because the story and characters were what I liked the most about those games.
It's not CHANGING the story It's Has its OWN story, also its more of a SPINOFF Horizon game with lego coating but I agree that Aloys peppy in this is rather alien to the one I'm used to ofc
The full lego environment is gorgeous. The style and color fit so well
As a fan of both Lego and Horizon Zero Dawn / Forbidden West & their respective DLCs, I see this as an absolute win!
Same!!!
The Thunderjaw has to be a set with how much it was showcased...right?
I sure hope so!
Well we got a whole Lego Dimensions Portal game and we never got a Portal set beyond the little expansion set for that game. They could have easily made a GLaDOS set but they didn’t despite the fact that they had the IP and the fans were begging for it.

Looks too big to be turned into a set for me... probably they will scale it down for the product, like they did with the bigger builds in The Lego Movie (the Sea Cow, the Construction Mech).
I'm sure there will be some crafty people exporting the in-game model and making a full MOC out of it
That Thunderjaw is coming 💯
I say 200 GBP
I am SO EXCITED to see that this will be on Switch! I don't have a PS5, but have really wanted to play the Horizon games. This is like a wish come true!

I have always wanted to play Horizon but can't afford a PlayStation. This is awesome for me as a Switch owner
When I saw Guerilla I was like “No way they got the Horizon studio to make a LEGO game! They’re the last people who should be making that game.”
And then I saw what it really was and that’s the whole appeal.
I do enjoy how different it is. The LEGO Movie hopping is surreal to see.
If we get more Horizon sets, I’m gonna be unimaginably happy, when I originally seen the tall-neck set it was at a friend’s house and I loved the look of it so much that I went out to buy the set and the game!! They’ve been a blast!!
Looks like a breath of fresh air for Lego games.
03:37 brick separator weapon :)
I’m so glad they used the Lego bricktales lighting engine for this game. It looked flawless in VR and I’m sure it’s gonna be nice on screen
I did not expect this but I'm excited and hope we get more sets. Huge fan of the Horizon games and this LEGO touch isn't bad at all. Huge step for LEGO working with Sony.
Lego works with a lot of stuff. Especially robot dinosaurs
From what i have seen of Guerilla and how there studio works. This feels like a thing they would do. They where somewhat bored of Gritty shooters after making all those Killzon's and that is why they made somthing like Horizon.

Looks fantastic with the details.

THIS is a Lego game I wasn't expecting but they have already got my interest
This made me REALLY Want the horizon Lego set but unfortunately it’s retired but when and IF this comes to switch I’m definitely going to buy it
I love it! I'm so excited!!
3:37 in jang's video and 1:03 in the video that jang reacts to: Aloy slams one of the hostiles with a brick separator.
Looks cute! I just hope we get another set - though I would prefer it in scale with the tallneck!
"Woo-hoo! Money!" That's what Lego says.
I'm excited for whatever GOTY releases the same week because of the Horizon curse.
She uses a brickseparator as a weapon 3:35 That's so meta!
it makes sense that its not on Xbox. Horizon is a Sony IP. and its already a feat by Sony to even allow it on Switch.
This looks absolutely adorable! I hope we get at least a couple sets to go along with it. I love Aloy as a protagonist, and this might make me replay Zero Dawn lol
edit: i hope the switch port gets optimized for that system, otherwise i think that framerate is going to be Really Rough
As a fan of both Lego and Horizon my heart is filled to bursting with happiness
they really really committed to this, i love it!
Aloy using a brick separator as a weapon at 3:36 😂

Honestly something I never would have imagined
I'm seeing some equilateral triangle tiles in the boss environment- that can't be based on real lego geometry
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS. i too really hope we get sets
this better mean we get more horizon sets
The lighting in the game looks amazing! Plus the Lego backgrounds makes the “Lego world” feel even more immersive
Looks phenomenal to me! I'll definitely be grabbing this one for couch co-op with my partner.
I hope we get sets of this. The creatures give me Zoids vibes (apparently the original devs used Zoids as partial inspiration)
I just hope this lead into more sets, that'd be a fair compromise since i can't play it on XBOX lol. This was a major highlight of the showcase ngl.

Hi Jang! Great video and thoughts. I hope Lego makes sets from this, but even more, i want Pharrell movie Mini-Figures from Piece by Piece🤓
Hey, costume! I gotta get me one of those. Oooh, sandwich!
That part was so adorable 😊
Hi jang should I store my lego figs disassembled? I'm buying little plastic bags to put each one in but I don't want them to crack and was wondering if I should take them apart
There also are two R2D2 sets on the market right now..
So I wouldn't be to surprised, if they'd make a bigger Tallneck

Thanks a lot , will do switch version, saw your video on speed champion and sub
Your voice is so peaceful. You should be a narrator. 😊 Thank you for the video 😊
I don't play any games, but the Tallneck hit me as a pretty set, and i think i like the vibe this theme exerts a lot!

Thank you for showing this trailer, i loved how the game looked and the comical vibe was fun to watch.
Looks pretty cool
I really hope we get more lego playstation games like God of War,Uncharted,Days Gone, and even Infamous
That's definitely going to be a day one PS5 purchase for me! I have the tallneck set, and it's amazing. I REALLY hope we see some new ones.
Looks epic and fun 👍
I’m all in. Put this all into my veins.
A Horizon game on the Nintendo Switch......what a time we live in.
Looks good
Looks great, but I don't know if the top down view is the better option. No Xbox is a bummer, but being on every other platform is nice, I guess I'll play it on Switch/PC eventually. I really miss the Mega Bloks Halo prototype though, that looked superb :'(
So long as I can collect the shineys!
i would be very surprised if it runs on switch
I haven't played Horizon and I probably won't. Probably won't play this either, but it does look fun... And now I'm thinking what other more "serious" games could they do as fun little Lego versions.
Lego Legend of Zelda would now seem like a no brainer. But what else could they do? Lego Far Cry? Lego Hitman? Lego GTA? Lego Halo?
The horizon franchise has a few faults, but overall more positives than negatives
It also works as a DnD setting for a campaign (I'm tryna do for a friend)
If u do ever decide to play the games trust be when I say they are BANGERS that you'll feel like u slept on em, I had this exactly when I played zero dawn for the first time myself defo worth the playthrus and chance given If u decide to
Not tryna force you into them ofc, sorry if it feels that way
I think this looks really cool, I'm just not sure why... it exists? This whole idea is so random, but it might just work
I would play this on my switch
i didn't even know the tallneck is discontinued already
It does look awesome
I will 100% buy a Lego Thunderjaw. They know this, why are they waiting :D
I wpuld love if they did this with other Play Station games like Spider-Man and Uncharted
wow, the books as the top scales...
This makes me want a Lego Sonic Frontiers, make it happen!
Use the sets to make a Horizon/Halo mashup.
I hope it's going to be good
I feel like I basically get this with Lego Worlds (minus the Horizon theming).
Couldn't care less about Horizon, but this looks great. Also the animation looks fantastic so far.
Lego worlds walked so this could run. I’m hyped to see Lego using more fully Lego environments in their games. With modern rendering tech it just looks so good.
This probably doesn't utilise the same engine as Worlds, so environments aren't fully destructible. Does honestly look perfect though
I don't care how much it's gonna be, I'm getting the Thunderjaw set. That's the only reason I didn't buy the Tallneck set.
Neat!
do u still have the simpsons set
Dont know the gameserie but if they are going to make sets out of thus... i need to sell another kidney! 😛😛
Never played Horizon Dawn but if there would’ve been PS4 version I would’ve bought the game once it hit steep discount.
It remains one of Sonys best titles for a reason
THIS crossover is a REAL treat for the gaming community
So refreshing to see a LEGO game of higher quality that isn't the same old TT Games formula. They're great games, but it's been 20 years of the same thing.
A Playstation IP on a Nintendo Platform. That's rich...!
I get that Horizons is Sony PS IP, but Lego games are Lego foremost and the theme secondary - so an odd decision not to include Xbox.
im so.. confused by this
It doesn't look bad, but I'm confused who it's for. I haven't played that much horizon, but is the gameplay at all similar? I don't see how a 2.5D game translates. This seems like a lego dungeon crawler that was given a horizon skin at the last minute. If anyone can explain please enlighten me.
It looks pretty, and I understand it is definitely for a particular market, but I am out of the loop with the Horizon series. As a LEGO fan, without granular LEGO building and usability, this is another easy pass for me. I know nothing of the marketing strategy but I'm not feelin' all of these IP cross overs. I guess I have to accept that I'm just an old dude now with nostalgia of a bygone era of what LEGO play should be.
🤨 I don’t get it :?
Hello!
I didn't ask for this. I like it, but I didn't ask for it. But it feels weird that they went whole hog on the Horizon series. I would have expected a Sony Lego game with multiple IPs. Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Sly. They all would have rounded out the package. But then again the main reason why I like this announcement is just that it hints are more actual sets... and I don't think Lego would want to greenlight a whole multi-IP series of lego sets (even though they could totally get away with just doing Sony themed Minifig blindbags)
Seems akin to lego fortnite
I really don’t know how to feel about this. I love the Horizon games and I love Lego, the Tallneck is one of my favorite sets I own so I do think the two can work together really well. But I just don’t think the humor in the this game fits with the Horizon universe at all.
The game looks beautiful and the gameplay seems fun enough but I don’t know if I’d be able to play this game, it would just feel like it’s making fun of something that means a lot to me. It's not CHANGING the story
It's Has its OWN story, also its more of a SPINOFF Horizon game with lego coating but I agree that Aloys peppy in this is rather alien to the one I'm used to ofc
Horizon is Exclusive to PlayStation... No xbox...👎...I guess I will play it on PC
And not for switch 😭
Yes for the Switch, as stated & shown in the video.
@@JANGBRiCKS wow that is awesome
