I never fast forward. I enjoy hearing your sweet, calming voice. You have made crafting so fun & easy for me to learn. Thank you for your time and generosity and I am very sorry for your loss. Joanna aka Ms Un-crafty....lol
Such a cute project, especially for multiples. Really appreciate the info about the hot glue 'cause I had the same question. My weekend is planned! Thanks!
djrepasky You are so welcome! Just be sure to use the low temp hot glue because the regular hot glue will melt the chocolates. :o) Thank you for watching!
Very cute! I'm saving this to my Favourites list, so that when my 13 week old grandson is older, I can make this for him ...& for my grandchildren in America. TFS. Dwyllis-NZ
You are so welcome Hun! I have to tell you that my DIL made some for her office and people LOVED them. Some even asked if they could order some and pay her. LOL! :o)
Thank you so much for sharing I am going to try to make some I am looking for some little fun gifts and think that would be nice I love all your crafts and ideas
Another great tutorial, this looks great, another one to try out ,but I need to find me a low temp glue gun here in the u.k if possible. It amazes me how something so simple can be made to look like you have spent hours making it .TFS x
Elaine White Elaine, You can find the glue guns with both settings (hot and low). I purchased mine on Ebay, however, I know they carry them at Walmart too. I'm not sure if you have Walmart in the U.K. ~ God bless! :o)
Hi ,I have managed to find a dual heat one here in a store called The Range, they have quiet a big selection of beading items,so I am going to take a look at our local one very soon xx
Elaine White Elaine, I'm so glad to hear you have found the low temp hot glue gun! :o) Just be careful because I've had to return a couple of guns in the past that called themselves "low temp," but they were very hot.
+OneVeryHappyBird I think maybe the thermostat on my gun has gone wrong,I now have a blister on my finger from the glue,NOT very low temp glue from a low temp gluegun grrr.
+Melanie Madrigal Awww! Thank you so much Melanie! I purchased the chocolate wrapped presents from the Dollar Tree. They are the less expensive Palmer brand chocolates. :o)
Hi Lori, just a quick question my sweet, but can you tell me what sized bags you used for these sleighs please? do you think 220mm x 320mm will be ok or will I need a bit bigger size? xx
+Elaine White Hi Love! I used clear cellophane bags that said 12.7 cm by 27.9 cm. I have to tell you that I had more than enough wiggle room when using this bag. I sure hope this helps! Hugs to you!
Such a great idea and appreciate you sighting where you got the idea from! I know you mentioned the low temp glue gun not affecting the chocolate, but I'm afraid people will find it unsanitary regardless. Do you think double sided tape would work just as well? Thanks again!
Hi Tessa, Thank you so much for posting this question! :o) Since the low temp. glue is placed on the wrapper and not directly on the candy, it isn't unsanitary. I don't think regular double sided tape would work unless it was something like "Terrifically Tacky Tape." I have to tell you that my daughter-in-law brought some candy cane sleighs to her co-workers the other day and they went crazy over them. She was laughing because her co-workers wanted to place a lot of orders with her and they were willing to pay a very good price for each one. :o)
you can buy duro glue guns from Amazon for 5 99 I have and it works like a dream comes with 4 packs of glue sticks and 2 sample sticks that's what I call a real bargain
I’m going to make a basket full of these for my grand nieces and nephews for Christmas.
So cute! Thanks for sharing!
I saw the original sleigh and this is definitely taking it to the next level - Very cute
Christine Hutten Thank you so much, Christine! :o)
What a cute idea and fun. But, I have trouble keeping candy in our house. Lol Thank you for sharing this warm Christmas gifts.
PS - Love the star ribbon - it adds motion to the artsy look implying flying through the sky
Christine Hutten I never thought of it that way, however, now that I look at it, I see your point! LOL Thank you Christine! :o)
