Merry Christmas Joni, may your day be filled with blessings and happiness. I’m so glad I joined your Patreon it has been the best gift to myself in a long time. 😍😍
This looks wonderfully cozy. Very peaceful. The swirls around the moon gives a feeling of movement on this cold cold night.🌬️☁️🌕☁️ It's really pretty. Thank you, Joni.🥰🌲🩶🤍🌲🩶🤍🌲
Hi Joni. You absolutely correct. I have both of those and while I paint Im in another state of mind. Even if it’s just a little while it’s all worth it. And your voice.omg. But I’ve said this before. Now……I’ve watched and tried your acrylic version of black and white. You make it look way too easy. It’s very hard thing to do. But I will try this too.
Hullo Joni, a lovely scene, a truly beautiful painting! I am very curious as to why you chose acrylic gouache over regular gouache? I am not sure if I could paint this picture without using a white paint! I am not sure if even with a masking fluid I would be able to create this lovely painting! I have only rather recently painted white on my watercolor paintings and that was using white gouache since it has been categorized as an opaque watercolor paint. Growing up I was taught NEVER to use white paint in watercolor. The only white color in a watercolor painting is the white of the paper! I know that most people and Artists don’t believe that there should not be any rules in artwork, or painting, I wonder what you think? I learned acrylic painting much later than my watercolor painting and it is very different. Thank you for sharing this with us and I wish you much luck and many more subscribers.
Thank you Pete, I enjoy mixing up traditional methods with modern techniques here on my channel:). It’s how we grow as artists and discover new ways of creating. In regards to my choice of acrylic gouache, it’s all I have left at the moment so I used it until my regular gouache comes in😉 The brand I’m using, which is homemade, is very thin and runny. It’s quite different from any other gouache I’ve used before. It’s gentle on the paper and works well with my watercolors 😊
