I've had Endura hummevve MTB shorts for years and the durability is outstanding to ssay the least . I even have a MINTSAUCE jersey { which they made }from the 70s which has stood the test of time. The elastic in the inners tends to lose its form but the beer belly hasn't help. Its ENDURA clothing or nothing for me.
Totally the opposite with my shorts / trousers .. Had the inners for a good while now . There fine. Have the shorts / 3/4 shorts and trousers . No issues with them. Also find the Velcro closure on the trousers fantastic..Ride regular
I wear mine almost every day, to the grocery store, snowboarding, MTB, hiking, crashing. I thought about buying a second pair but they are so durable that I didn't need a second pair.
I purchase the Humvee II padded shorts last spring and the first thing that I noticed was the sizing was off. I wear a 36 so I got the large 35 - 37, but had to return them for XL. The durability has been good so far, but I don't use their liner. I use a fully padded motocross liner to add more hip and tailbone protection. That being said, I ride enduro and downhill more than XC so I stand more than I sit. I thought about trying the pants, but they looked to light for my intended purpose and they are advertised as trail and urban trousers. Made in China!!!
I finally did an update video on these which is posting soon but I think the problem really is when you sit down on them a lot, aside from them wearing out in the butt I think that they are very comfortable and the durability is fine.
Good shout I just bought some Trek 100 trousers for walking and I'm really impressed, thinking of using them on the bike too. I need to do an update on the Hummvees though because the shorts are holding up really well, just had bad luck with 2 pairs of trousers I guess. The Decathlon option is still cheaper though and I think that the quality is at least as good.
@@worldworldworld1009 I had a quick look cause I was curious, here they are for £30 www.decathlon.co.uk/p/men-s-mountain-trekking-resistant-trousers-trek-500/_/R-p-329107
Shocked. Had my inner shorts with padding for ages and only now got few new ones as they are brilliant! Only thing was worn out was the padding it self. Other then that great quality.
Interesting and good to know, I keep meaning to do an update about this but my 3/4 length shorts have been holding up well, I got a refund for the trousers and some of the liner shorts and the rest of the liner shorts I kept have also developed holes. I do like how they fit and I think it was possibly an issue with the long trousers I had or maybe I was doing something to accelerate the wear during the winter.
Why didn’t you return them under warranty? If your saying they only lasted a couple of months, I’m sure you get one years warranty on all of these products!
Yeah I did I got my money back for most of what I bought and the 3/4 length shorts I have have been holding up really well, the liner shorts I kept have all fallen apart though.
I think your saddle might be too high. When it's too high you're rocking fom side to side and your crotch is chafing against the seat. Anyhow, those pants should not break in a few months, regardless of poor cycling mechanics.
Yeah I know I bought them because of all of the positive reviews online but what I'm showing in this video is what my experience was... but I have been wearing the shorts almost every day for a few months now and they haven't ripped yet so I think it is time for me to do an update video about these.
I really like the fit and design of the Endura shorts it's just the durability I have a problem with which is too bad because I haven't found much else which is similar... The two I am interested in trying are the Nukeproof Outland and Giro Havoc shorts/trousers but I haven't bought anything else yet. Right now I am mostly using a pair of cheap hiking trousers and I also still have one pair of Endura shorts which I will use until they wear out... once that happens I'll probably try one of the other brands I mentioned above.

Where did you get them for £28? They come up as £99 on the Decathlon site. Hope you can help.

Odd. My Endura shorts usually last 3ish years & I wear them everyday.

I’m 184cm tall and quite slim fit I am looking at the trousers what size should I get
I reckon you would probably be fine with a Medium, they are pretty adjustable around the waist.
Feels weird, the site I'm thinking of buying these products from pretty much only have positive reviews about the pants

Maybe your bike seat needs changing if yours are wearing out around the arse area.
:D
Thank You! I save a lot of money because of this review. What shorts do You recommend? Gore Wear o just cheap noname?
