    It's funny how the media turns to farmers when talking about deportations

    So they advocate for immigrants because of revenue loss

    Issue work visas like we did in the 1970s / 80s They come work for the harvest and go back across the border for a few months and then come back to work another season. Its that simple.

      Use American prisoners and early release program. We have plenty of people in the United States 🇺🇸

      Do background checks and vet them so others are safe. People have no idea what they are letting into their homes or neighborhoods.
      At least a store or business corporation has liability of some kind.

      Except it was easier to cross the border back then , not so much now.

      Best comment. That's the way it has always been. The media knows this. There has always been legal migrant workers and that will remain the case. There is no threat to legal migrant workers. This has been the case forever. This is about the masses of illegal immigrants from various nations who crossed illegally to collect benefits and who are not working in the fields.

      I was told the people that got there visas didn't go back to the field they looked for better opportunity else were... So they still lost revenue....

    As long as we have able bodied adults who are collecting welfare, there shouldn't be any issue filling jobs. The good news is that if there were stricter work requirements, most people who choose to stay on welfare will very quickly decide to do something to better their own lives if the only other option is to work a few hours a day in agriculture to keep their benefits.

      It’s been proven time and time again that American workers will not work in the fields , not even homeless people will work in the fields , 9 dollars an hour isn’t enough to persuade American workers to do heavy labor jobs

    There is at LEAST a 9% unemployment rate, maybe farmers should post some HELP WANTED signs, I personally know one legal man who would go to work, and has been applying for jobs and no one is actually hiring. Thank you Trump! 🎉

      Before farmers get seasonal workers they are required to look for American workers first and show that in court when no one shows up they get migrants to work , American workers don’t want to pick strawberries for 9 hours an hour even homeless people wont do the work , america needs these workers

  • @Sedona-Faise
    @Sedona-Faise 4 часа назад +1

    They have always allowed visas for seasonal/temporary workers to legally work and send money home...

    When I was growing up, it was near impossible to get a job in the fields and if you did manage to secure one as a young white man, you would likely be treated terribly, I know people that have been told to go to the wrong location in order to make him miss work and get fired as well as people being confrontational in order to start fights or lie and say they had been doing drugs on the job when it was really the person reporting that did the drugs on the job site

    There's got to be a way to GRADUALLY prepare legal workers to fill. Remember that these illegal farm workers are not the first migrants that ICE will be going after.

    What a very. Bias story, shame on 17. You talked to farm bureau as if it is the voice of farmers. The reporter is totally naive to the bigger political issues only using talking points she has hear at college. You need to ask from an unbiased view, the farms such as cambells, etc.
