Not taking anything away from other runners of course because they are all incredibly skilled, but Distortion is a step above a huge majority of runners in his game categories because of the fact that he constantly breaks and holds the world record for so long. And if he loses it, he goes right back on the grind and reclaims his throne, that's why he is a legend
A tip, when the devil jumps down as a skeleton and says go, DONT GO! stay in the border of the hole and shoot up where his head would be, the hitbox is still there
Jademonas That does work but if you shoot it too much, The Devil will go into his 3rd phase and if you try to jump in the hole, you won't go down all the way.
BEATEN. But still though, props to all speedrunners of this game, as there are only a few glitches that works in Cuphead. In 26 minutes, I can only get to the dice room, so, again, props to you, mate.
Sam P- Quite a few actually. I don’t remember them all but the Zeppelin bosses last phase can be skipped by doing a near perfect amount of damage. It essentially keeps her from attacking at all. Also the frogs work the same way. Too little or too much and they won’t skip a phase. Perfect damage and they do. Seems like quite a few bosses have a specific glitch you can exploit and Dist does this very well.
In that particular phase, if you do too much damage the next phase can glitch out and the hitbox for the boss will be too high to hit, effectively killing the run
That also happens with the clown skip I'm pretty sure you have to do a perfect amount of damage on his first phase to pull it off (first phase lasts a randomized amount of time I think?)
Honestly, while people are saying that Dist has full right to be the way he is, I find it quite irritating On runs like this where he is doing ok and still gets pissed every time something doesn't go perfectly. I had a similar problem with one of his DS3 runs, where it was just him complaining despite the fact that he was at a good pace.
When he screws up in a major way, it's completely ok, I just found that he can get very whiny at the smallest mistake, and it usually ruins the video, which I wouldn't care about if it weren't for the fact that I want to watch an incredible achievement, but the achievement feels worthless when the entire run is him saying how much everything sucks.

Does Roundabout do better damage than Spread or is it just that getting in range for spread shot isn't reliable on a lot of bosses (and you wouldn't save the minute needed to get enough coins for all three shot types)?
Spread does more dmg than roundabout only at really close range. Roundabout has a better Ex, aiming front and behind you and solid damage. So yes that is the most optimal weapon set

At the acorn maker you can fall down the gap before it and then skip it.. you probably would have gotten a second off if you did that.. watch the Mexican runner do it
