I live in Mechanicville and the only building still standing is the XO Tower.
The sanding towers stayed up until about the early 2000's.
Those Y&S boxcars were there till the early mid 90's

Land of the Giants Centuries and 39-2 and cousin Geep a nice family portrait was that structure a old sand house covering 2 tracks ? it would make for a cool scratch built project.

My grandfather used work in the the gate tower on Saratoga Ave when it was still manual. I remember going up there as a little kid. Lots of memories here. Thanks for sharing!
