The species in this video are indeed edible species. However, if one is not well-trained to identify amanitas and distinguish them from the extremely deadly amanita species, then unless one is prepared to die a rather uncomfortable, prolonged death for the minor thrill of eating a foraged amanita, then good sense dictates that one avoid eating any amanitas.

Some look too similar to the death cap. I would avoid amanitas that aren't the right color.

This video doesn't mention this is the most dangerous and deadly family of mushrooms to make a mistake with. You mess up and you die with the look-alikes. Go forage meadow mushrooms, chicken of the woods, or other prized edibles. Bad video.

Definitely this video could do a better job of alerting the ignorant would-be forager of the dangers of the phalloides, bisporgera, virosa, etc. It’s a good policy to instruct the ignorant to simply avoid gather amanitas for food. But to be fair, the video only purports to present seven edible species, which it does. It does not purport to teach how to positively identify the edible Amanitas. So I think it’s unfair to say that this video isn’t to be trusted. The video delivers exactly what it advertises.

The only aminita I would actually consider is the Jackson’s Caesar because it looks like a little tomato when it’s still a button a pretty easy to id because it doesn’t leave leftovers from the egg on the cap like the fly agaric
