What a perfect runout for you in that Aces vs Kings hand! That 5-bet action basically guaranteed that you both only had Broadway cards. Love to see you branching out your game!
Why run? Doug should be the one running from the worlds number 1 luckbox 😂 It’s just bink, bink, bink lol Ethan also played really well, catching multiple bluffs from Doug.
Burst out laughing at “bink turn” when the J came giving trips. Right when Doug has a pot of aces. Luckbox + poker skills is so tough for anyone to compete with. Poor Doug 😅
Incredible to see you Ethan playing vs one of the toughest HU players in the world and having such a result. Always a pleasure to see Doug playing and even better seeing that kind of an "event" to see your perspective playing vs such a shark.
Didn’t take him to the cleaners…. Ramp sun ran his ass off. I’ve never seen someone get that unlucky heads up. Regardless, still a cool match, but if Doug and ramp played heads up 100 times, Doug would win 80 of them.
@@soocool78bro it’s fuckin poker. If u can’t accept that there are variants I don’t know what to tell. It’s literally part of the game. Also I’d like to see u prove that he got luckier than Doug other than just this lazy “hE wAs sUnRuniNg” whiny complaint all the bitter weirdos always use.
uh i can...thats literally why I commented the way I did. I bet if Rampage played a much longer game he'd eventually lose as Doug is just one of the best at heads up. Taking Doug to the cleaners is an accomplishment on paper, but taking AA > KK and KK > AK in heads up is nothing but coolers.

These hands are actually ridiculous coolers heads up. Most ppl including myself would lose a lot of composure but he just kept playing solid and kept getting unfortunate hands. Lots of respect for rampage stepping in there with Doug and to Doug for having a monster mental game
i really like rampage so dont take it the wrong way but he really does run like a god, i hope he can still compete at this high level hes at right now when his run eventually becomes normalized/bad ,
Who's here now who saw this guy lose $500 several years ago with his lip poked out and doubting his poker career and now seeing him cool and calm siting with the legends with 200k stacks? Glad to hear your getting coached. You're showing a lot of improvement with your decisions and thinking your way through hands. I told you years ago you were going to be a big winner. Just remember playing that aggro style you'll have some big swings, but you'll bounce back if you're disciplined enough to use bankroll management.
Man, we already knew you have balls big as church bells, but HU for rollz (OK, mini-rollz, but still!) against the Supreme Leader?!? Well played Ethan, well-played.
I've learned so much from watching your vlogs and 8:30 in was something I've contemplated for a while. I usually play it overly aggressive to get the fold at low stakes, but seeing how it played out this way was really good as a learning experience! Hopefully no one ever River's a possible set when i get my straight 😂
I didn't understand why the ace on the river changed a lot? HU full house vs straight isn't really super likely and a straight beats a three-of-a-kind is there something I'm missing in his though process?
@@calebwhite6464 quad Ace's. My comment referred to that as a "set" which is just the term I'm used to for quads. It opened up the possibilities of Doug's hand being very strong with how aggressive he was betting and Ethan had to give into thinking Doug had at least 1 Ace and that having the pocket Ace's was still a possibility to lose to despite the low odds of that and a Full House. I'm no pro at all, but I've lost and won this situation online in free poker just learning for fun because I'm a sucker for statistics, but am not willing to put real money on the line!
then I'd have to wonder is shuffling your cards to pick on to decide if you're all in or not...with a player who's at good at cards as Doug is, wouldn't he know which card is which with that shuffle & its save face way of folding? Who knows. One on one must be harder with the probability of some hands changing compared to playing with 5 or 6 others...pretty clever if you can play well with the change in the number of opponents being a real game changer (probablky not better worse if you're across the change in possibles.) But I dunno, I'm a recreational poker watcher, haven't played in many years, think its seriously its now a spectator sport as well a game for players. I never ever would have imagined that would happen pre internet. Keep having fun, its fun to watch 🙂
I’m curious about the 84dd hand where you folded…I know it’s a big bet for these particular stakes but you make $2500 c-bets in your sleep…why the fold?
rivers a straight and bombs the pot: "Trying to represent a full house and get called by an Ace..." lol - Rampage so used to blasting he can't remember when he has it.
You are only playing for 3k and fold a straight because the river Ace paired? What were you thinking? Im on tilt right now and I'm not even playing poker right now.
Well its easy when u see cards right. Most logical hands he calling turn with are sets and two pair . Some hands which can improve and they all beat you at the river and u facing jam
To school Mr. Polk in his own back yard is quite an accomplishment. I’d watch out next time your playing 8/9 handed for big money with Doug at the table because he’ll remember this beat down….

The look on Rampage's face! Did he start to feel bad for taking Doug's money? Haha
Polk is a solid player, taking him to the cleaners is quite an accomplish. 🎉🎉😅😅
i mean not that big of an accomplishment given the sun running. though the KQ bluff was big.

Heads-up is such a different beast, you have to run crazy bluffs and call down light as hell, and play all manner of crappy hands.
This one made me 😅, especially at the outro, Dough "friggin" Polk got a taste of the "Rampage".
rampage is a true master level player❤❤

I don’t like 5 betting any hand unless stacks are short and we are getting it in. I feel like it just announces your hand 🤷♂️
Doug’s a good guy playing only 10/20. With him being one of the top 3 if not the best heads up players he could have asked to play much higher.
Wow! Ethan, be proud, but it will get harder cuz Doug will study!
If you sold 55% , don`t you end up with less at 45% ?
Which chip manufacturer is that? Star casino in Australia got them

Why did u fold the 4 at 8:35, that hand is so strong there.
Better straight or house beats him. Shows Ethan’s lack of experience heads up
I never really liked the word usage of “blocked”. There’s 4 of a card, having 1 of them is hardly called “blocking”.
Good luck
