I agree. To be honest, the whole competition with winning homecoming/prom king and queen is exaggerated and mostly seen in movies for entertainment. In reality it’s different.
During my high school days, we had the prom/homecoming nominations. But there was never any fights and resentment related to this. People voted and nominees won, but it wasn’t made into a big deal. I went to prom and homecoming in high school but I honestly don’t remember who won king and queen nor did I even vote.
