John Meadows Leg Workout
Leg Curls 3 x 8 (on final set perform a double drop, then partials, finish off with 10 sec iso-hold)
Spider Bar Squats 2 x 8 (warm up), 3 x 3 (working up), 1 x 6-8 (final work set)
A1. Inverted Leg Press 3 x 8
A2. Sissy Squat 3 x 8
Smith Machine Split Squat 3 x 8 Each

What should I do for calves?

For john meadows what good is carbo gain powders and what is a good protein powder and can my body grow muscle with 5 palm size meals per day from 20g protein 40g carbs
For supplements, check out his Granite line. And you might want to try to get 30g per meal of protein.
@@muscleandstrength ok great , ive always had this philosophy of not to use any protein powders or anything until your lifting weights in the 405lb+ realm cause certain weight can be heavy for you but not enough for the fibers to reach full potential of absorbing thats from bro science and i always believed that so is that true

Clearly John is genetically gifted in the calves department. You can add calves as needed. 😎💪🤙
What is A1 and A2?
What I really don't like in Smith machine, is that our body naturally knows how to move (how and when to attach other muscles to assist movement, or how to safely drop that weight), but with Smith everything goes super unnatural: that machine directs your movement pattern and for some with not enough experience it could lead to serious injury.
I disagree. It's very useful in instances where you want to isolate a muscle group. You can utilize foot placements to make it a more natural movement pattern.
