Thanks Bill! Yes luggage has been paid to be shipped to Canada because some certain friends (you know who) offered to bring them over for me. Also hoping insurance covers the cost!
Great vid! We're relocating from US to Thailand next year with 2 chihuahuas (wow 4 for you!) and are so glad that we can fly in cabin with them. We thought Aseana was the only airline that did this and are happy that Korea air does as well. Thanks for sharing the info. Enjoy Thailand!
Fantastic you all made it and the voyage to the other side of the world. 🤗 Such a long travel adventure with all of the different flight schedules and dogs, not fun but you made all the connections. No doubt Shayna and Jayden were totally wiped out, so exhausting waiting in airports that long. 😵💫 I did it once to Mykonos in Greece from Canada, 34 hours from start to finish, then a similar experience 2 weeks later. 😜 Looks like you’re in your element in Thailand Chris. 👍😉
Thanks Don, yes it was a long trip but we made it and are now battling colds. We left the Costa Rica bubble and have all gotten sick! So now we rest and then explore.
What an amazing video!! ❤ It was so interesting to see separate videos of Chris and Shayna coming to Bangkok!😂 I can't eat spicy food either, but the food looks delicious 😊! Looking forward to seeing your next video after you guys get some well needed rest. Have a blessed day! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks Amy, yes Shayna needs to carry the GoPro more often and get her input separately for future videos, plus other stuff with our main camera. God Bless!
Hello, Dufresnes, so glad you made it safe to Bangkok. all the family together . hope you are recovering from all the travelling.... . PS: cant wait to hear about your impressions of Mark Wiens restaurant.
I’ve commented this on your videos before, but I used to be all about the ‘Pura Vida’ life of Costa Rica, until I went to Thailand! Thailand is more affordable, more developed, safer, better food, (just to name a few things), than Costa Rica. I could go on and on. Only drawback is it’s so far away from the US.
I'm looking forward to following your next adventure. I remember your Canada to Costa Rica video and seeing monkeys in Playa Hermosa! (or was it Coco?)
We are enjoying watching your new adventure!!! We’ve traveled all over Costa Rica for the last 2 years and are planning on leaving here in a few months. I’m not sure if I missed it or maybe you didn’t want to disclose it but we were curious how much your rent there is?
_At first I was like awwwww dad took the baby with him. Then I was like actually that's really smart to leave the big kid with mom in the event that she needs help with something he can help more than the little one._
Enjoyed your video very much! I’ll be traveling to Thailand before the end of 2024. I am curious to know how the dogs can relieve themselves while being on a plane for 13 hours. I have four dogs and didn’t realize you could take them in the cabin for such a long flight. Looking forward to your future videos!
Thanks for watching! Yes if they are under a certain size and weight. Each airline has different specifications. The only way the dogs relieve themselves is in its crate, the Mr. Peanuts carriers are leak proof but we still put a pee pad down to be sure. Each airline also has a limit as to how many dogs are allowed on each flight, this is why we took 2 seperate flights.
We made sure to not feed the dogs or give them any water a couple hours before the flight, and got them to relieve themselves right before the flight. That way, little to no accidents! I see we are not the only crazy people with 4 dogs! 😂 What kind of dogs do you have?
We have four small rescue dogs, all girls. They are part Jack Russell Terriers and long-haired Dachhunds. Thanks so much for the information! Hope you enjoy your time in Thailand. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
As someone flying SFO-BKK in the Fall with one cat, I eagerly clicked on this video so I could finally see how, exactly, the pet carrier fits under the seat in front -- or where it sits -- how one boards the plane with the pet carrier exactly -- how one goes through security with a pet carrier -- all those important visuals I need about the physical handling of the pet, so I can become familiar with the process. What?! Not one single frame about any of that?!?! WHY, out of all the bajillion RUclips videos, can I not find ONE that demonstrates the physical handling of the pet throughout the entire process? Plenty of them showing the vloggers *talking about* bringing a pet(s); none actually videoing the process?!?? 😢
Because for the most part your pet stays in the carrier and cannot come out other than in the pet area. The only other time your pet comes out is at security where you need to take your pet out and put the carrier through the scanner, and in these areas you can not film so this is why we did not film it. It is a very simple process and the Mr. Peanuts carrier fits perfectly under the seat in front of you. Get your paperwork and you are good to go.
You seem confused. Nowhere does our video say that it's a tutorial with us showing how to take a pet through the airport and onto an airline start to finish. What a strange expectation for you to have regarding a vlog that is about a whole bunch of different things and not something specific like you are requesting. This was our first time traveling with not just 1, but 4 dogs, and we never needed a video like that to know that it's pretty simple to carry a pet in a pet carrier through the airport process and put it under the seat of the plane in front of you when you sit in your designated seat. It's very basic. You are stressing out way too much about a simple process.
@@shaynadufresne I'm 74, and get confused! I must apologize for going on/off like that. Please forgive me! When I gathered my senses, I searched "Flying with cats" on YT and found SEVERAL excellent videos that went into great detail about all of it, and specifically about cats. One point made several times by different vloggers was to call the airlines ahead of time to make them aware of my intention to bring "Pun'kin", as they have limits of how many pets can fly with each plane. I spent this afternoon doing just that, and feel much better now, having done so. I found out that I don't pay until the flight day itself, at the counter, but Pun'kin is on the lists, and so is expected anyway! I think I was letting the stress that I was feeling because I wasn't doing the things I needed to do, overtake me instead of simply DOING those things! Again, my sincerest apologies. Liked and Subscribed! ☺️👍 P.S. I'm currently selling my house, planning this permanent move to the other side of the World, and I'm just a LITTLE BIT stressed out! I need to just calm down, do all the things, and trust the processes! 😊 And watch your videos for lessons on how to stay cool under travel pressure!
We totally understand the stress of it but once you do some research through google it's all there. We did leave the link in the description for the info for the paperwork and the form you need to fill out. That form needs to be submitted no later than 10 days before your trip so you can receive your permit. We also have a link to Mr. Peanuts if you want to get a good we'll made carrier that is comfortable and will last a very long time. Thanks for liking and subscribing!

No sorry, depends on how long your staying. Be careful with Airbnb because a lot of buildings don't allow short term rentals. A hotel is the best option, or find a short term rental group on facebook.

I visited Thailand once and the humidity was unbearable and I live in Florida LOL so you know the humidity must be pretty bad there. It was worse in the Pucket island. I loved the food and the beaches though. Good luck with your new adventure.
It's funny you say that because it is rainy season here now and Bangkok is one of the most humid places here, but we find it to be about the same as Samara which is much less humid than Uvita and that area! It's actually a comfortable temp here for us based on what we are used to. Not those cold California days we had when everyone there was complaining it was hot! I was able to skateboard in Cali and feel comfortable, not soak my shirt like I got ice bucket challenged! 😂
Miss you already! ... but so glad you all finally made it there in one piece and with almost all of your luggage!
Thanks Bill! Yes luggage has been paid to be shipped to Canada because some certain friends (you know who) offered to bring them over for me. Also hoping insurance covers the cost!
We miss you too Bill! And thanks! Glad we eventually get our other 2 bags back! That was so stressful 😢
The food affordability is unbelievable!! Unlike the rest of the world. Good move!
