I’m so happy you’re sticking with Buffy. Season 2 is where the series really finds it’s footing with some great storytelling. I think you’re really going to like it.
When She Was Bad was a great opener from S2 Buffy obviously suffering from PTSD, and taking it all out on her friends, and sexually teasing Xander on the dance floor. Interesting when Cordelia even tries to intervene referencing Buffy to Joan Collins as a type of 'Uber Bitch' because she knows that behaviour herself. All's well at the end and a bit of comic relief with The Anointed One ' I hate that girl' Another well written episode exploring psychological illness and how it can affect others.
I keep telling myself I'm going to wait a while so I can binge a bunch of reactions in one go.... then the new video drops and I can't help but watch it ASAP lol
I love how this show does dream sequences. There are always little details that make them feel like REAL dreams. "She's got a little bit of disconnection going on." - nailed it. Buffy always seems to feel like she needs to handle everything herself, and that does cause her to disconnect from the people who love her. :( Impressive, the way she manages to hurt everyone all at once. :( This season I really start to love Cordelia. She kinda fits the role of a Crowley-type character - the character that is only sort of part of the group and therefore speaks truths that no one else is willing to speak. They can be kinda mean, kinda brutally honest, where main members of the friend group can't. A valuable and necessary role in the group.
I went and got candy the other day at a gas station. I'm 53 years old. But sometimes a woman just has cravings for Mamba and dark chocolate. I'm really excited for you to get into season 2. Quality steps up, as well as the special effects. More budget was available as the show started to gain momentum. And I find your insights and tangents fascinating.
Interestingly that was David Boreanaz (Angel) under the Master makeup as Mark Metcalf wasn't available. Sad you didn't include a couple of my favourite Buffy exchanges: Cordelia: Whatever is causing the Joan Collins 'tude, deal with it. Embrace the pain, spank your inner moppet, whatever, but get over it. 'Cause pretty soon you're not even gonna have the loser friends you've got now. Giles: Punishing yourself like this is pointless. Buffy: It's entirely pointy.
Oh I'm kinda disappointed you left out xanders speech to Buffy after they got kidnapped since that's exactly what you were waiting for someone to say to Buffy about getting over herself because thr others were put in danger
Yeah but, that puts Xander in a good light and Buffy in a negative light which is not allowed. Also, he's very poor Willow but not poor Xander when Buffy literally uses him when she 100% knows his feelings for her.
I like that Willow doesn't let Xander's crush on Buffy affect her friendship with Buffy

I'm hyped for this season.
It's fun but adds many more.elements at the same time.
You're going through these so fast! I love it😅

Willow is just the cutest thing ever.
I'm here for the reaction! Do your blabbering, rambling, analogies, . . . whatever you want to call it. I want to hear it. :)
