    Hi, thank you so much for the sharing.
    I have one question, if I have only one server to use, can I treat it as "web server + DNS server" by using the same IP address at the same time?

    • @TechAreaNetwork
      @TechAreaNetwork  3 года назад +2

      Technically you can do it but it's not recommended.

      @@TechAreaNetworkmay I know what can be the possible issues if we use one server for both?

    • @TechAreaNetwork
      @TechAreaNetwork  2 года назад

      @@sumervishwakarma93 one of the biggest issues would be that any server hardware failure can lead both of the services unreachable;
      Hackers will get both the services handy if they can hack the server; etc. etc.

    I have one angular app running on IIS server.
    Server IP : xyz
    Port : xyz
    If I want to do the domain name mapping then I will follow above steps and I need only one domain so I will configure only one name.
    Will this work ?

    Hello! it's working outside the local Lan Area? means on through to internet

    • @TechAreaNetwork
      @TechAreaNetwork  3 года назад

      Yes it will work but you have to have a public IP and a public domain name.

      I have such a good video on live Web server hosting over the public network but it's on Linux. You can get an idea of hosting a Web server on the internet. In your case it would an IIS server. The Internet hosting process is almost same for Linux and Windows Web server both.

      Hi !! Thanks for your query. To make your website public you need to use the DNS Server of your Domain Provider/Registrar. What you can fully control is the hosting part and the IIS configuration part. You can assign a Public IP to your on-premise webserver and point it to the domain name in the DNS server of your domain name provider.

    Why can't other devices on the same local network see the server sites?

    • @remytv
      @remytv 11 месяцев назад

      The other computers in the network need to point to the local DNS server for it to work.
