Doing it for folders would be great. Being able to copy folders would be a great feature too! 😀
How to apply this on Google drive on android phone ?
I have an iPhone. It appears as though this is not a feature on mobile. However, it could be different on Android since Google makes both. Sorry I could not give a more clear answer.
(i'm working with a pdf, not Google Docs btw)...thx for your guidance
How to disable this for editor users?
Any script code?
I am not sure how to disable this beyond what Google provides. Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with script code.
Thank you so much brother. ❤️
You’re welcome.
how to restrict download, copy with anyone with this link?
I'm not sure what you're asking.
how about screen shot?
This doesn’t prevent that. I use this feature to share things like rough drafts of documents. It’s not for super sensitive information that you can’t afford to be seen beyond the people with whom you are sharing the document.
That option to disable download is not appearing in my android phone
This option doesn’t appear to be available on mobile.
@@therabbitpad Thanks, man. It doesn't also on my desktop.
What type of file are you sharing? Perhaps that’s the issue?
@@therabbitpad Oh my goodness. I just release it. It was image files and people are still able to download but for pdf files, they can't. Great. Thank you!
@@riezan That's interesting. I can still see in my account. I'm not sure what is going on.
Option does not exist anymore
It is still there for me. Are you using it on a desktop or a phone?
This works thank you!!
You’re welcome.
How to stop private pickup for files?
I’m not sure what private pickup means, but with all means of sharing information, there has to be a degree of trust between you and the other person. There is no foolproof method for securing your file once shared with others.
Private printing is when enabled you can send a document to your printer, but the document will not print until it knows that the sender is at the printer, then your document will print. I want to know how to turn this feature off.
Ah. It looks like autocorrect typed “private pickup.” Unfortunately, I am not familiar with private printing.
Based on what I could find, you could possibly go into the printer settings in the device settings on Windows or Mac and disable it there.

How can i do that in a mobile device?
I just tried to do it on iPhone app, and it doesn’t appear to be possible.
Helpful! Thanks!
You’re welcome.
i still cant do this on google drive :(
What kind of file are you doing this on? I am aware that it doesn’t work for every type.
thank you!
I’m glad the video helped you.
Thank you so much
I’m glad it worked out for you
Thank You!!!
You’re welcome.
Thanks!
You’re welcome. I’m glad it worked out for you.
still helpful in 2022 👍👍👍
I'm glad it is still relevant. Hopefully any updates won't be too drastic. 😅
What if i want to do this with a Link??
If I understand the question properly, it would work the same way. When they click they link, they will not be able to download, copy or print.
@@therabbitpad its not working for folder of files, only individual files, what do i do?
@@victorokonma7921 Correct. This does not appear to work for folders but only for individual files.
Thank you
You're welcome. Thank you for visiting my channel.
It's not working for me.
Is the person with whom you are sharing the document an editor or a viewer?
Doesn't work for folders, only for files :)
@@randomer3837 That's correct.
thank you thank you
You’re welcome
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I’m glad it worked out for you.
Editors can steal your work. so sad... just File: Make a copy...
Hopefully they will give more options in a future update.
Why I don't have the options to not download when sharing
Are you the owner of the file? Did you click the gear to access the options?
Doesn't work for folders, only for files :)
