    1. Put WARM oil in your hair (The lady in the video uses plain coconut oil) and massage your scalp at some point...
    2. Leave it in for 2 days WRAP YOUR HAIR UP AND LEAVE IT ALONE
    3. Shampoo
    4. Repeat
    So she has a 4 day hair routine.
    Y'all are welcome!!

    • @BrownGalPeace1
      @BrownGalPeace1 Год назад +7

      @@iniememokure2799 I use henna powder and mix it with other ingredients to promote hair growth. Curly Proverbz henna or her henna and aloe mask are great options. I usually use 3 tsp of powder with warm distilled water or aloe vera juice as it reads on the directions on the back of the package. I also add 1 tsp of fenugreek powder and 2 tsp of amla powder to it. (Sometimes I add rosemary and peppermint essential oil to the bowl, but it’s optional.) Mix it until it makes a paste. Then I add the paste to a moisturizing deep conditioner as she instructs. The deep conditioners I use varies depending on what I have on hand.. but I usually use the Shea Moisture Intensive Hydration Hair Mask. I let the mixture sit for 2 to 3 hrs in a covered bowl. Then with gloves.. I apply the henna paste from roots to tips while sectioning the hair and using hair clips. I put a thick layer on all over my hair. Then I cover my head with a shower cap. I let it sit on my hair for 2 to 3 hours. Then I wash it out.
      I do not do this treatment weekly. I find that doing this treatment monthly or even quarterly does suffice and gives great results.
      I hope this helps! ☺️

    One tip that I picked up a few months ago from AfrikanHairGod and NaturalAcacademia is spending time to smooth the oil/product into your hair strands. I can see your cousin uses a similar technique.
    I have 4c hair and this has been a game changer in that my hair actually soaks in the product and I barely have any tangles. My hair is soft, hydrated, and I only need to reapply the product weekly. I know this isn't the traditional approach but I oil my scalp with sulfur 8. And I use a mix of one of the Blue Magic creamy leave-ins, a blue magic grease, and a few drops of grape seed oil. My hair is oily at first, but the product soaks in by the next day, and then I'm good to go for the week.

    30 minutes?! Welp. If the good woman says 30 min then 30 minutes it is😂 starting today I’m letting everyone in my house know we’re setting up a schedule to determine their days of the week to massage my scalp. 😂
    Seriously, all jokes aside this just confirms the conclusion I came to about a year ago when I decided I wanted hair down my back. While I am aware genetics play a role in hair, I am convinced that everyone with ridiculously long hair has to work at it. Period. There’s no way around it. Like everything else in life, if you want long hair, you have to be committed to the process.

      Wells yes but i also do believe some People are lucky enough to have long hair without working for it. Like they dont care how long their hair r but they r long anyways. Especially when they r straight so they dont get tangled up all the Time and r less sensitive to friction. But i globally agree with your comment and these values like if you really want something, get to work :)

    • @iammariejas
      @iammariejas Год назад +24

      @@crepusco9821 I agree. My best friend has been that way our entire lives. When we were kids her mom would cut about 2-3 inches off her hair at the beginning of every summer and it would be back to the length she cut it from by the end of the summer. Her hair grew effortlessly at a ridiculous rate lol but as for me, my hair has always grown slow until I discovered the natural hair women of RUclips who "do the most" and have long hair. Particularly CP and Selina Zinchuk. I combined nuggets from both of their channels and fell in line with being committed to my hair growth and I've retained 3 inches in 3.5 months. No lie. That's why I feel regardless of who you are, if you "do the most" you're bound to get ridiculous results no matter what.

      I have long hair, it's below my butt but it's curly so it just looks a little shorter, I don't do anything at all to it. I do definitely think I need to do more for it so it can grow faster and it's frizzy though that is pretty normal. I also have dry scalp, I'm wondering if I do start oiling my hair like they talked about in this video if it'd help my dry scalp.

    • @iammariejas
      @iammariejas Год назад +3

      @@mysticthehorselover5979 it probably would. If slapping grease (Blue magic to be exact) almost instantly stopped my scalp from itching due to dryness, I would think regular oiling throughout the week should fix it. But hot oil treatments under a dryer on low heat weekly and oiling at least 3 times a week solved my dry scalp issue. I had criminally dry scalp tho lol

    • @pineapplecrushme3216

      Genetics has nothing to do with it unless you personally have a medical condition. Those who you think naturally grow long thick hair do not as a given. Whites, indians anyone with the hair you think is automatically blessed also have people who hair won't grow , breaks off is naturally thin. There are African tribes with long hair because their nurture it.

    I think you and your cousin are absolutely right about oiling your hair. I remember back when I was a kid in the 70s, my aunt used to oil, then massage our scalps (my sister and I) every week with royal crown hair grease and Sulfur 8. I have 4C hair and that really helped to keep it healthy and free of breakage. Just about every kid in my neighborhood got their scalp oiled and massaged. I had forgotten about that for years until I saw one of your videos on the benefits of using oils.
    For the coconut oil, I'm going to try the suggestion of warming first. It sounds like coconut oil may be similar to honey in that the properties change when it's warmed, versus cool or room temperature.

I never really cared to oil my hair too much until this year, and I have been doing it as regularly as I possibly can. I have also used a henna mask in my hair twice and I deep condition. I have noticed about 6 inches of growth since I last measured. That comes down to about an inch a month - it feels amazing. I won't be cutting my hair (not even split ends - not that I have many bc of the oiling) for a very long while, or if ever. I just want to see how long I can get it. Coconut is like the # 1 oil Indians use besides sesame but coconut causes so many problems in the natural hair community. It personally dries my hair out and gives me an overload and I've heard this from other as well. So maybe not this oil but still the same technique regimen.

      I react to coconut oil even though it's great for my hair but I had to add little bit of palm oil and olive oil and it's heaven to my hair and skin. I stopped trimming my hair even since I started using it generously especially my ends.

      Yeesss! I used to love it! My hair was shiny and strong from using it but after a while it started breaking my hair off something terrible. I had to cut my hair down to two inches from arm pit length a few years ago. It’s all wonderful and growing now but I was so shocked back then.

      You can use fractionated coconut oil. I used to use tons of coconut oil on my hair and scalp but at some point it just stopped working, it would dry my strands out like crazy. I did some research and it seems like the culprit would be the amount of lauric acid in coconut oil. There's none (or not much left) in fractionated coconut oil. So you can get the same results without the drying out 😊

I love oiling my hair and scalp, but I have dry curly hair and I'm afraid of using coconut oil for thirty minutes because I've heard horror stories of coconut oil turning women's hair even more dry or straw-like because of the too much protein, can I use olive oil instead?❤️🙏🏼

      It was Indigenous Strandz. a Beautiful black young woman on RUclips Her hair is knee length. I am not sure she is still on RUclips. She used a lot of herbs in oil blends and even Shea Butter on her hair!! She has lots of videos of how she takes care of her hair and recipes of oil blended with plant herbs ,how she wash her hair, food she eats, healthy diet and getting a good night sleep. Check her out.

      That's exactly who immediately came to mind. Indigenous Strandz is the truth. I enjoyed following her for a while. She's got some great content. Yes, last I checked her old videos were still up. But there are a few other Black women as well that I stumbled upon. Not knee length, but tailbone length hair which is quite an impressive achievement. 🙌🏾 If I can find them again I'll come back and post them here.

    I believe the most thing that they do that we don’t is scalp massages which is so well known to make hair longer, thicker and stronger even without oiling.. My hair doesn’t like coconut oil even products that contains it my hair doesn’t work well with them, I tried so many oils and for some reason my hair does much better without oiling as oiling makes my hair dry even if I left it for 1 day and my scalp gets itchy, I tried all oils out there organic ones, Jamaican black castor oil, almond, you name it I tried it, as they say get to know your hair and do what your hair likes not what works for others. Since I followed that advice my hair grows much healthier and thicker then before even though I was oiling a lot before, but my hair wasn’t this thick and healthy..

    Hi, recently discovered your channel and found it useful. I have wavy curly hair and they are very fine and are grey as well. I like to use natural henna for the same but I get cold easily. Also, because of curly texture, I need to apply conditioner on the day of head wash and cant comb my hair everyday. Could you lay down a road map for girls like me who would like to adopt natural things yet cant do it fully as preparing everything from scratch is a bit of a task for working women like us. Also, as a starter which remedy of yours should i follow first and for what problem of mine. I need to work on hair breakage, hair fall, hair strength and thickness, their growth and grey hair. And lately I am getting face acne due to hair oil. What should be done? Thanks in advance.

      I use the oil cleansing method on my face: 50/50 castor/other oil of choice (avocado usually). I'm lazy (not busy) and began with just fenugreek oil overnight under bonnet before wash day. Stops shedding and grows hair. She has vids to make fenugreek oil. Takes three minutes to put together.
