I betcha anything those cable operators who had to work maintenance on the Commodore Amiga for Prevue Guide had to have been creepy for those guys listening to that music especially when it's distorted during the wee hours of the morning. That's the kind of music you'd hear right before any station leaves the air for the night. That used to creep me out growing up on UHF. It would make Jump if the Test Pattern pops up suddenly or a... LOOOOOOUUUUUUUDDDDDstatic snow screen would show once they turned off the transmitter...
Cool videos! Back when the Prevue Channel was still around, I remember seeing a cable worker interupting the program guide scroll by doing some sort of maintance work. I once saw it happen one day back in 1993 (shortly after when the blue grid came out). I just wish I had tape of this.
I saw that this cable company replaced Prevue Guide eventually because of the incessant technical difficulties. Was there some other channel guide in its place?
@Urielbenavides - lol, actually the ones I have are messed up because they're what I found entertaining enough at the time to bother recording. There might be some "normal" footage in my VHS library, but I haven't found it yet. if I do find it, I'll post it. If I don't, then the four videos I've already posted will be all I'll be uploading.

Kinda creepy with no audio and hearing only that white noise in the background.

This was long before the interactive guide you would get with DirecTV
Like noticing a local ad used in 4:16, I can recall my cable company often producing custom ads and messages for Prevue Guide this way.
i wonder if i could run that on winuae i'd love to download that and play with the program
Holy crap... I know people born on two of those four dates... I know a 11/26/91 and a 01/15/92...

KTLA began airing _Teen Dating Game_ with Melissa Joan Hart on weeknight early evenings during this time.
I never heard of that before
@@ABCEasyas-- Melissa Joan Hart was a Babe of the 90s; during this time she also starred on Nick's _Clarissa Explains it All_
At least the music is fine in this vid.
The Blue Grid was also originally for the Amiga.
+DanielWS424 Both are. I still need to find a Prevue Guide (Not Blue Grid) floppy though
PajamaDarkness Network I'm well aware that both ran on Amigas.
they both run on amigas.
And that's when I realized, after seeing all the graphical glitches, that the Prevue Guide software was a POS.
Still very interesting stuff :)
do you have some random clips like viewers choice ppv or sneak prevue clips on tape to upload?
do you have any prevue clips that are not messed up/normal form?
There are ones that haven't started yet... But those are blank screens... And there are ones that are on the AmigaDOS Screen.
