● In this video I'll take you onboard a tuned Fiat Abarth 695 Biposto for a few laps around Monza circuit. This pocket rocket has been tuned by Old School Garage and it features a Garrett GTX2860 gen2 turbocharger, producing an incredible 360hp!

The Abarth 500 is such a character rich little gem few know about.
The Abarth is so much more fun to drive than my blown Foxbody Mustang .
If you get bored going straight for not much cash there is a reason this is called the worlds smallest super CSR.
Instead of whining go drive one it will make you a believer of the small but wicked Abarth...

I have a modified 13 Abarth 500. Can someone tell me the modifications done to the engine/internals besides the Garrett GTX2860 gen2 turbocharger?
I mean... internally you would change the camshafts, pistons, and connecting rods so that it can handle more boost.

Quello che mi stupisce più di tutto non è tanto il motore quanto l'assetto: ha una tenuta di strada impressionante nonostante la potenza, ed è molto precisa di sterzo !
P.S. Ma il cambio è un 5 marce con la prima in basso ?

Germans would say that car goes "Abartig" fast, which means abnormal fast.
So what was the lap time for this Abarth?
360 cv?! Sarà ma non mi sembra un gran che, i rapporti sono troppo lunghi x quel motore, è vero che è una pista veloce ma il motore non stende rapidamente, ed inoltre la Megane in ripresa era poco inferiore ma guadagnava brutalmente sull'allungo, certo potrebbe essere che anche la Renault era elaborata... ma non credo come il cinquino, insomma visto i costi e i cv dichiarati mi sarei aspettato qualcosa di più
questo è il mio commento, vediamo se condividi le mie impressioni:
al minuto 4:05 lasciamo perdere la cambiata andata male, in quel rettilineo è pendente, una discesa che si fa sentire in allungo. Ora se notate la velocità da 180km/h a 200km/h noterete una lentezza impressionante. Una vettura che dichiara 360cv da 180 a 200, con pendenza, dovrebbe impiegare mooooolto meno tempo ad arrivarci. Non parlo a sproposito, ho avuto auto turbo benzina e so quello che dico!
@@Alexis82 To be honest for me this car dosn't have 360cv at all.. defnitly not in race track enviroments. it dosn't pull as hard from 180 to 200. as mine. and mine is below 250cv
also Megan RS is 250/260HP... so yeah.. and is way more heavy.

Are you assuming the Renault is stock? I only bring it up because... well, the Fiat clearly isn't, and this video was taken on a race track, after all.

Neither cars are standard but power to weight Megane (brilliant car) will struggle against Abarth to many underestimate them just look at Abarth racing historically you’ll then get an idea of the brand not just a fancy 500;upgrade.

Penso che " oggettivamente " sia una macchina di merda, purtroppo parlo da possessore. Poi uno può renderla leggermente migliore con le modifiche ma ricordiamoci che ha il telaio di una panda.

Something very wrong on this "360BHP" Abarth Biposto... Wht the car can`t pass 210km/h is Monza Circuit? Very weird. I suspect that this car has at maximum 240 to 250BHP, nothing more than that!

it is odd.. my car have below 250hp abarth and it pulls way harder to 249 vmax. stock gearbox.. if they have short gearbox ratio.. it should go even quicker to 180-200
its tool slow for 360 hp. show us the dyno sheet.. i do not believe it..

They are in a long 5 speed gearbox. If it had a short ratio 6 speed it would be a blast. Thats why i chose a 2004 civic type-r for track days. With a 5.33 final drive and lsd i dont need much e engine mods to be fast

A regular 500 is as you say a hairdressers car, this is different. This is the first modern 500 that I feel can truly be called an Abarth. Carlo Abarth spent his career making insane Fiats like this one. Carlo would he proud of this effort.
