Nerves of steel. She's amazing. Listening to her reeling of the vitals and that pinch on the pinkie nail....impressive athlete this coach. She applied her science phenomenally. Hats off.
Such an incredible rescue! Thank God, she was paying attention. She must be a very strong swimmer to have gotten her up from the bottom of the pool! Well done.
Being a lifeguard for professional swimmers/divers is embarrassing enough, but then the one time they're needed and it ends up being the coach that rescues her... Someones in trouble.
Not the lifeguards but the judges. In artistic swimming the lifeguards only go in when ordered by the judges never on there own accord. Thats because its not the first time they go in without need and ruining part of the routine.
Andrea Fuentes is a four-time Olympic medalist- 3 silver, 1 bronze) in artistic swimming while competing for Spain. Upon retiring from the Spanish national team, she became a synchronized swimming coach and plainly is devoted to her athletes and the sport. Awesome lady, amazing coach.
I have know idea why watching this is making me tear up. Something about this the bravery and strength, and maybe the sisterhood . It’s just a touching moment. Map props to that woman. So happy to see the swimmer is fine now.
Fantastico!! Perfect trifecta of a hero. She reacted instantaneously - didn't overthink or look for others. She assumed the worse and considered the biggest risk was getting her air. No medical devices, no medicines, no medics - no problem! She applied the secret "kung fu" grip to her pinky. I say, she's in line for the 2022 "Internet Surf Club" Hero of the Year Award. Got my vote.
I've been hearing that this makes the second time Andrea Fuentes has saved Anita Alvarez from drowning after a fainting spell. Anita Alvarez needs to stay out of the water. Plain and simple.
If an athlete in an different sport nearly died twice and had to be rescued by their coach, do you seriously think they would be allowed to continue competing? Where are the doctors? Who is monitoring this????
Si a Anita Álvarez ya le había pasado eso una vez, por qué volvió a la natación... eso ya es suicidarse... para la próxima ya no la rescaten... acuérdense que la Tercera es la vencida... Recupérate Anita y dedícate a otra cosa
Theres lots of why didnt the lifeguards do something faster, hope this helps. In artistic swimming, at this level atleast, the lifeguards only go in when told to do so by the judges since its not the first time they interrupt a normal routine thinking the swimmer is in need when they werent.

One of the best coaches (in any sport) that I have seen in a long time.
Thank you for saving this swimmers life. You are truly amazing.
This is what a hero looks like !..........Thank you and Congratulations on saving a Human Life.
Such an incredible rescue! Thank God, she was paying attention. She must be a very strong swimmer to have gotten her up from the bottom of the pool! Well done.
Wow an amazing rescue. The coach and other performer are heros.
That coach is a true hero on my book!
imagine all eyes in cameras watching her. but no one notice she's going down of the bottom. thanks to her hero coach. good to hear that she ok now.
Same happens when people swim in leisurely, splashing etc and not noticing someone is drawing as they silently going down.
Most of the accidents happens in proximity of friends and family. Just not being aware of the situation.

@Real Aiglon
Its not a health issue. Its a fine line all competition swimmers are prone to.
I have know idea why watching this is making me tear up. Something about this the bravery and strength, and maybe the sisterhood . It’s just a touching moment. Map props to that woman. So happy to see the swimmer is fine now.
Outstanding coach these women are in excellent hands.
Hats off coach you rock!
Legendary coach right there..well done Coach Fuentes.
Bless that coach. Hope she has a quick recovery. Baffles me that the lifeguard was clueless!
Such a beautiful sport yet so dangerous! This coach is a true hero! I hope this athlete fully recovers. 🙏🙏

Respect to Coach...amazing
Andrea Fuentes realmente reaccionó muy rápido; su experiencia fue crucial para salvar a Anita Álvarez.
What a terrifying situation. Bless you. You saved her life. God is so good. 🙏🏾
AMAZING.....A TRUE HERO.....
Way to go lifeguards... Let's sit up there and just look around and look good. Good thing the coach is a angel as well.
With so much negative things and killings that are becoming the norm! seeing human kindness is so beautiful and rare now and days.
Well Done Coach

@Real Aiglon why are you spamming the same thing against the coach to peoples comment..? You must have some personal problem with her.
This coach is a boss.
That Coach is a BOSS!!!!!

Good job coach 🙏🏽🙏🏽
good job Andrea ! I wish I could do this for s.o drowning, same cold blood, same quick brain reaction. your wages ought to be raised consistently.
In case you were wondering... yes, she was. Look it up.
Well done coach👍
Danke an der Reiterin und an VIKTOR ORBAN,
Got her! ♥️
Why did I click on a video to see still frames...
it's weird that they are not showing the actual video, i search and I cannot find the actual footage.
@@queenpeach7865 ITV news has the video.
So why is there no video of her actually fainting
Well done champion coach
Most upsetting thing. Lifeguard wasn’t paying attention to do his/her job.
The guy you see in the pictures is the lifeguard. He is not an olympic swimmer as the coach. No way he can be that fast to arrive.
@@cabc74 He is not the lifeguard! He was a swimmer preparing for his competition. Did you actually watch the news?
I believe in earth angels
Where is the full video?
Make this Coach the New Amber Now!!!!
Is there no video?
Great Job!
Thanks spaniard coach. Gold metal for you.

Does anyone have the video?
Theres lots of why didnt the lifeguards do something faster, hope this helps.

Whats with all of these top athletes keeling over on the field (now the pool) many of whom are dying of heart attacks. WTH???
hero!
So what happened?
oh thank you great call
Wheres the lifeguard?
One advice: never swim alone.
It was an accident during 2022 World Aquatics Champions.
Some body will have to do a lot of explaining, safety was compromise big time almost cost her life.
No sound other then the reports voice.
Andrea Fuentes to the rescue!
Thank you for the life-saving information Andrea
poeh, luckily this was in a shallow pool
Good looking out
brawo!!!!!!!
Another potentially dangerous sport just to entertain others...
Really? This happens a lot in this sport?
Indebted forever..
Well looks like they new life guards
The same coach rescues the same fainting swimmer to loads of publicity once again. It gets suspicious after the first time.
Lifeguard?
Wonder woman
💕
Really that's unheard of people fainting in the very thing to revive someone fainting which is water 💦 who faints in water she must be special 👈🤔
It's good to know that little fingernail trick, It makes you wake up.
AAA+++Bedford, Texas
"artistic"??
JABBAD
"Artistic"?? So... She's swims artfully? That's nice.
Your talent is making stupid comments. Well done. 10 out of 10.
