This was a great video! Only issue was I broke the piston using pliers trying to remove the valve cap (the black thing). I ended up using a small flathead screwdriver to pry apart the valve cup. I attached the straw to the broken piston with plumber thread seal tape. THANKS to your video, my spray bottle sprays again!

As someone in the USA (cant barely afford rent, or anything else really) and trying to fix my mist bottles for houseplants (all three have gotten jammed in the same way with grit making way into the pump/nozzle), finding any info on how to just take the square cap nozzle off is frustratingly impossible to find. I laughed watching this because i basically did the same exact thing but was sure i was going to break it so had to find a vid first. THANK YOU.

Just remove to nozzle and blow hard from the bottom making sure your lips don't create a vent for air to leak. It'll fix it. I just did mine after seeing how difficult this video is.
    Or
if you have a screw type cap, remove it. Close the opening with your finger while pressing/pumping out water.

Always have that kind of problem with some spraying detergent bottles. They don't work after sometime which is pretty annoying. And also I have perfume bottle, the spraying part is faulty. If only that can be repaired. Thanks for the video. Really helpful.
