Was quite interesting hearing your thoughts about Wave 4, can't (and luckily won't have to for particularly long) wait for what looks like one of the best waves to come out! I'm still hyped the most for Yoshi's Island simply because I love that they made a track based on that game and full of references! I had doubts about Mario Circuit mostly because it was only datamined instead of already being in Tour like the other potential DS tracks but yeah, people should chill since it's just for fun... but still, kudos for overall getting it right!
People need to be aware that the final wave of the year is always going to have the showstopper courses. I mean we’re most likely going to get Wii rainbow road in wave 6 so it would make sense for Nintendo to have simplicity in their waves as well with DS Mario circuit. These showstopper courses like Waluigi pinball aren’t exactly the best courses sure their fun to drive through and they look cool but they are not exactly the traditional Mario kart race track you get. Nintendo keeping to that traditional Mario kart sense with simplicity in their course choices is what people need to wake up and realise.

Now I swear to god if DK Mountain doesn’t get added Nintendo…
GBA Riverside Park looks absolutely awesome! I know many people are more excited about GCN Waluigi Stadium or even DS Mario Circuit, but my personal favorite has to be GBA Riverside Park! I looked at this track as either a wild ride through a deep sunset jungle with some parts taking you through the river as shortcuts; or a more laid-back version being a walking park aesthetic with those metal bridges over the water currents. I have seen some other remakes of the track, which take on more of a ''Forest Camping Site'' theme, but I am personally not really thrilled about that direction. My ideal version would be a ''Deep Jungle River Trek'' theme with some Underwater Sections added to the track. But back to the officially announced version from Nintendo -- MAN, does it look GOOD! They basically took the Tour variant of the track, updated the graphics to be on par with the base game MK8 style, and added what I can only assume would be a reference to the broken bridges from the base game's SNES Donut Plains 3. And the added cavern section, plus the sunset sky and those weird Walking Piranha Plants from SMB3 and NSMBWii, the latter addition I REALLY didn't see coming but am very pleasantly surprised by -- finish it off. I would absolutely LOVE to try this track for myself in MK8 Deluxe if I were to buy a Switch!
I have a theory for why it is so early this time around and while I could be wrong hear me out What if this Wave is earlier than normal is a precursor to them releasing Wave 6 on November 7th the 19th anniversary of Double Dash and potentially give us Piranha Plant Cove, Petey Piranha and the remaining two Double Dash tracks as a celebration of that game Though as for my least to most excited (Riverside is still hyped but never was its biggest fan): 8. Riverside Park 7. Singapore Speedway 6. Amsterdam Drift 5. Mario Circuit 4. DK Summit 3. Bangkok Rush 2. Waluigi Stadium 1. Yoshi's Island
It’s sad that people got so hyped about Airship Fortress with basically no proof that they just hate on this Circuit track which is actually pretty good.
I had my own predictions for the dlc and literally half of these courses I thought would be in wave 5. Amsterdam drift, dk summit, waluigi stadium, and Singapore speedway specifically. The only one that I wasn’t expecting at all was DS Mario citcuit
honestly im just happy to see people giving love to the city tracks, the post dlc cities (2022 cities) have been the best one so far, mixing good layout and great music, im specially hyped for singapure as it is my favorite course from tour as well to hear the full remix of the city tracks, now we can spect more banger music for madrid and athens (specially madrd since spanish style music is awesome)
Honestly, more people should’ve expected DS Mario Circuit because Wave 4, difficulty-wise, seems to be more in line with Wave 1 than it is Wave 3… maybe if the final DS track was in Wave 5 or 6, then Airship Fortress would’ve been more feasible
People forget ninja hideaway was in wave 1, which is easily one of the more challenging and convoluted tracks in the bcp with its multiple layers and shortcuts combined with sharp 90 degree turns.
@@JohnTK yeah Ninja Hideaway was kind of an anomaly in Wave 1, but they probably wanted it and Tokyo Blur to be in the same wave (because Japanese theme), and Tokyo Blur just wouldn’t be acceptable in anywhere besides wave 1
Ya know what, im glad ds mario circuit returned, Ds airship fortress and ds delfino square have returned once or twice before, so its best if a track that hasnt returned yet got a spot
It would be really cool if Rocky Wrench would return in Bangkok Rush (since they were in the T variant), but it looks like sadly that won’t be the case.
Albert did you notice that Bowser Jr picks up the mushroom the piranha plant drops in the trailer?! This is HUGE. We are able to finally pick up items from the ground!
For what we’ve seen, all 8 tracks of Wave 4 have surprised us quite a bit, especially with the prefixes moved around even more than last time, as well as some courses instead of others! Tour Amsterdam Drift certainly has a more chilling Dutch vibe that I personally like, Moreso as a first track for this wave. For what it has got so far, it’s done rather well. GBA Riverside Park finally getting it good graphically is very impressive, but the actual track itself managed to do extremely well too, with Ptooies as enemies on the track, and it’s currently the 13th track remade, excluding Cheep-Cheep Island and Sunset Wilds in Tour, which is still really good. Wii DK Summit, or DK‘s Snowboard Cross in the UK, certainly has proven that not much needed to be changed, and even with small details, it’s still very good! Half-pipes around the course, brilliant! As for Yoshi‘s Island, we did have a teaser before, but I‘m still pleased that they’re acknowledging the series here! I‘m definitely wanting to race on it! Tour Bangkok Rush is a mixed bag from some graphically, but I am impressed with it regardless. It was meant to be in Wave 5, then not the case after the trailer released. For what I see, I‘m quite excited to see how they do this, and utilising the routes well! DS Mario Circuit is a controversial one. While Airship Fortress is a fan favourite that was wanted for the final DS track in the Booster Course Pass by many, it was not the case when we all found out, a lot were definitely heartbroken, but truth is, sometimes you get fed up and annoyed with others causing this problem, since there has to be a good balance between bad and good tracks, and while Mario Circuit seems like a poor choice, personally, I’m actually quite surprised and pleased that it returned at all, including it returning in Tour, the day before Wave 4’s release. Let’s hope it still does well like the other courses! GCN Waluigi Stadium, while simple by design, is still well loved, and again, I expected it to appear later, Moreso because it wasn’t in Wave 3, but no, Wave 4 is the place that it returned in, and what a shock! An absolutely beautiful and brilliant remake that may actually beat out the original by a wide margin, also likely to appear in Tour later on! I’m sure that everyone will love this! And Tour Singapore Speedway, honestly, I think this is the perfect course to end Wave 4! Originally datamined for the beginning of the Boomerang Cup, it is now the final course instead, and that is definitely fantastic! The nighttime neon aesthetic, the different routes, and yes, just the feeling in general! What a course, and hopefully, we’ll get even more brilliant city remakes in the near future! Overall, Wave 4 had some surprising selections done here, and I’m actually impressed with not a true dud here. 3DS Toad Circuit and GBA Sky Garden due to their pointlessness and butchered track layout respectively, SNES Mario Circuit 3 and Sky-High Sundae due to being too simple and underwhelming in its release respectively, and 3DS Rock Rock Mountain or Alpine Pass for being the weakest graphically, the course itself was still good. Though DS Mario Circuit is the weakest in this Wave for multiple reasons, it still holds up well to not be considered awful either. Well, thanks once more for reading! 👋
This wave looks incredible a real step up in the graphics as well. I actually think that ds mario circuit is going to be the peach gardens of wave 3 and surprise everyone with maybe the final lap going in reverse or being able to drive through the castle and be one of the best tracks in the wave.can’t wait to play all of them😊😊
I’m so happy ds mario circuit made it in, the reason why I didn’t want ds airship fortress in the booster course pass is because it’s overrated, 0 shortcuts(aka another waluigi pinball), and we’ve already had it in Mario kart 7 so it would be kinda weird to add it back into Mario kart 8. Really proud of the choice they picked, I love all the circuit tracks even if they are “simplistic” because they flow so well with the smooth turns and have plenty of grass shortcuts, especially with the Mario kart 8 treatment
Wave 5 will be the trickiest to predict by far. Wave 6 should be easy as you just do deductions by excluding every track already added from the prefix leak.
For me waluigi Singapore are one of my most wants that I'm excited to see and even buds of mines has interest in these new city stages this time. And oddly I didn't find much heat for airship and mario circuit but rather lots of debates for delfeno Square or airship being the last ds spot. Then I saw your vid on mario circuit and thought "hmm.. I know airship is in tour but can't rule out mario circuit since BCP likes to throw in surprises so maybe we'll see the datamined DS mario circuit in it" sure enough it was true and even announced in tour shortly after.
Mario Kart Fans: I hope we get Airship Fortress, Luigi's Mansion or Delfino Square from Mario Kart DS in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass Nintendo: Here's Peach's Garden and Mario Circuit from Mario Kart DS in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass Nintendo Fans: 🙁
I guess Bangkok Rush may have fit better as a “transitional period before summer” track, rather than a “summer track”, so it was moved to Wave 4 Question is, what will the GameCube tracks in wave 5 and 6 be now, because following Waluigi Stadium with, say, Mushroom Bridge, would be kinda awkward
I love Airship Fortress and all, but honestly I didn’t think the Tour version looked that good, so honestly I’m totally fine without it in the BCP if they were gonna reuse the Tour art style.
Wave 4 made me so hyped. 8 of these are some of my favourite tracks of all time... remember how many tracks are in a wave (also, Yoshis Island looks to have a very fun layout, it has all the things i like in a track layout). AND THEN WE HAVE BIRDO. Nothing will top wave 4 in the future
this wave is definitely confusing me a lot, but after all, its just nintendo. i thought of so many reasons why it would be DS Airship Fortress and GBA Riverside Park instead of DS Mario Circuit and GBA Bowser Castle/Luigi Circuit/Yoshi Desert/Cheep Cheep Island. and one part of it came true, while the other one just didnt. it just goes to show that nintendo is really unpredictable in everything they are doing. but i'm incredibly happy with how wave 4 turned out, it is definitely at least wave 3-level in quality, and i am very hyped to play on these tracks!
I played wave 4 some weeks ago it's easily the best wave so far(playing in french because i'm french also riverside park has just one letter of difference in french it's riverside parc which would have been " parc au bord de la rivière" which is a bad name 😂)
Are you going to talk about the character leak? Seeing in it was 3 of the tracks one of which was ds mario circuit which was before the Nintendo Direct and one of the characters was birdo
personally, i think wii hasn't been treated that well, weve gotten all tracks weve seen remade in 7 (except dk summit). we couldve gotten toads factory, moonview highway, dry dry ruins, come on
I all honesty looking forward to Amsterdam drift I haven't played that yet and yoshis Island as I belove that game and I'm looking forward to mario circuit arguably the best and Riverside Park and Waluigi stadium are going to be the massive glow up in this wave the only bit I am annoyed is that Dk Summit was in when it should've been last wave or in December but koopa cape will most certainly make it
I can’t believe DS Mario circuit made it in. I was almost certain it was gonna be airship fortress. Seeing how simplistic the design is, (and the woods section we saw in the trailer) I believe it’s gonna pull a peach gardens and make us go backwards or something

I have a theory for why it is so early this time around and while I could be wrong hear me out
What if this Wave is earlier than normal is a precursor to them releasing Wave 6 on November 7th the 19th anniversary of Double Dash and potentially give us Piranha Plant Cove, Petey Piranha and the remaining two Double Dash tracks as a celebration of that game
Though as for my least to most excited (Riverside is still hyped but never was its biggest fan):
8. Riverside Park
7. Singapore Speedway
6. Amsterdam Drift
5. Mario Circuit
4. DK Summit
3. Bangkok Rush
2. Waluigi Stadium
1. Yoshi's Island
4:01 IT'S ROCK ROCK MOUNTAIN!😡😡😡😡
It's called Alpine Pass where he lives at. Some courses have different names depending where you live.
It’s sad that people got so hyped about Airship Fortress with basically no proof that they just hate on this Circuit track which is actually pretty good.
Can’t wait to see what changes they made to the retros, especially riverside park
I think the debate on what mob_DK is will be on par with the final DS track
I just love how the road texture in waluigi Stadium looks. It's this muddy road with many small puddles in it
I had my own predictions for the dlc and literally half of these courses I thought would be in wave 5. Amsterdam drift, dk summit, waluigi stadium, and Singapore speedway specifically. The only one that I wasn’t expecting at all was DS Mario citcuit
I am surprised Los Angeles Laps wasn’t in this wave
Awesomeness is a good word for it
honestly im just happy to see people giving love to the city tracks, the post dlc cities (2022 cities) have been the best one so far, mixing good layout and great music, im specially hyped for singapure as it is my favorite course from tour as well to hear the full remix of the city tracks, now we can spect more banger music for madrid and athens (specially madrd since spanish style music is awesome)
You get bragging rights for the rest of the year for correctly predicting DS Mario Circuit lol.
I needed that win, after I miserably predicted Horror Land to be the least likely board to return for Mario Party Superstars lol
@@AlbertBoris But that was almost 2 years ago. We all deserve a second chance at guessing.
They probably released it today in order to surprise everyone with DS Mario Circuit, because it also got announced the same day to Tour
id say wave 4 is "queenly"
Ever since I saw the trailer Ive been waiting for your vid just because of mario circuit
Wave 1 is my favorite out of the first 3, but this seems like it will be competition...
@@Wario1382 graphically it's a bit more mid but the track selection is pretty balanced. Fire music too
@@Wario1382 💀💀💀
4:41 *Cheep Cheep Island
There's DS Mario Circuit. Happy?
RIP Airship Fortress 😭
but hey they have to save some of the better maps for the Bustercourse pass 2
Bustercourse Pass 2
I do think with Bangkok Rush in Wave 4 Los Angeles Laps may be in Wave 5 in Cherry Cup where Bangkok Rush was datamine to be
Ya know what, im glad ds mario circuit returned, Ds airship fortress and ds delfino square have returned once or twice before, so its best if a track that hasnt returned yet got a spot
I did not notice that! These Waves keep getting better and better!
I don't think that he picked it up. He probably got it from the item boxes behind him instead of the one the Ptooie dropped
No he didn’t pick it up he was no we’re close to actually grabbing it and that’s the item roulette he got the mushroom from
For what we’ve seen, all 8 tracks of Wave 4 have surprised us quite a bit, especially with the prefixes moved around even more than last time, as well as some courses instead of others!
I was certain DS Mario Circuit would make it in - there’s already a Mario Kart 8 style rendition that plays in the Super Nintendo World theme park!
This wave looks incredible a real step up in the graphics as well. I actually think that ds mario circuit is going to be the peach gardens of wave 3 and surprise everyone with maybe the final lap going in reverse or being able to drive through the castle and be one of the best tracks in the wave.can’t wait to play all of them😊😊
I think the grass in riverside park looks very similar to Sprawling Savanna from Super Mario 3D World
I’m so happy ds mario circuit made it in, the reason why I didn’t want ds airship fortress in the booster course pass is because it’s overrated, 0 shortcuts(aka another waluigi pinball), and we’ve already had it in Mario kart 7 so it would be kinda weird to add it back into Mario kart 8. Really proud of the choice they picked, I love all the circuit tracks even if they are “simplistic” because they flow so well with the smooth turns and have plenty of grass shortcuts, especially with the Mario kart 8 treatment
They may fix the grass texture in tracks from past waves, I hope so!! Also maybe even add in the Slot machine sound for waluigi pinball
as an airship fan i do congratulate you for your accuracy 🎉
Honestly, for me I'm just happy for sunset wilds even if its not in the wave right now
Mario Kart Fans: I hope we get Airship Fortress, Luigi's Mansion or Delfino Square from Mario Kart DS in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass
Nintendo: Here's Peach's Garden and Mario Circuit from Mario Kart DS in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass
Nintendo Fans: 🙁
It is nice 2 meet you guys by Matthew Bots Ai
In gcn waluigi stadium the signs with the eyes are still there they just don’t dance and they show advertisements
Imagine the music for Vancouver when it comes out
I think the GBA tracks get the best improvements. At first entirely flat, they now look gorgeous.
Now its on the same day as Metroid Fusion, Mario Movie, and more.
I guess Bangkok Rush may have fit better as a “transitional period before summer” track, rather than a “summer track”, so it was moved to Wave 4
Question is, what will the GameCube tracks in wave 5 and 6 be now, because following Waluigi Stadium with, say, Mushroom Bridge, would be kinda awkward
And I had to add 48 and 32
I was in the middle of a English class when I first saw the notification. Watched the video, don't care about the class
this wave is definitely confusing me a lot, but after all, its just nintendo.
i thought of so many reasons why it would be DS Airship Fortress and GBA Riverside Park instead of DS Mario Circuit and GBA Bowser Castle/Luigi Circuit/Yoshi Desert/Cheep Cheep Island. and one part of it came true, while the other one just didnt. it just goes to show that nintendo is really unpredictable in everything they are doing. but i'm incredibly happy with how wave 4 turned out, it is definitely at least wave 3-level in quality, and i am very hyped to play on these tracks!
This has me hoping that we'll be getting GCN Bowser's Castle as a track in Wave 6 since we got Waluigi Stadium so early
What if a bridge grew for the final lap of Mario circuit so you go into the castle and finish at a different finish line
This looks amazing!
Boo on the addition of Waluigi Stadium. Bring back Wario Colosseum.
I thought you were a madman for speculating Mario Circuit over any other DS track but here we are.
I played wave 4 some weeks ago it's easily the best wave so far(playing in french because i'm french also riverside park has just one letter of difference in french it's riverside parc which would have been " parc au bord de la rivière" which is a bad name 😂)
Are you going to talk about the character leak? Seeing in it was 3 of the tracks one of which was ds mario circuit which was before the Nintendo Direct and one of the characters was birdo
personally, i think wii hasn't been treated that well, weve gotten all tracks weve seen remade in 7 (except dk summit). we couldve gotten toads factory, moonview highway, dry dry ruins, come on
One week until I race on Yoshi's Island and intentionally strand myself there
Those angled piranha plants in WS tells me there's a gliding section
Seems like as the booster course goes on, the developers are getting better at actually taking advantage of the MK8 engine
Even though i’d still prefer Airship or Mansion, this would probably be my 3rd choice because im not a fan of most DS tracks
