    martial artist here. The micro damage training (sand punching) is what we call iron body training! Glad you enjoyed it. We usually put the sand in canvas texture bags to keep it clean. Also, board breaking is mostly about technique and acting like you're punching THROUGH the board not just punching at the surface if that makes sense. the board should be held by someone else with 2 hands because it had too much give when you held it yourself. If its held properly, any 8 year old child with no experience can be taught in 1 minute to punch through that board you have lol so I feel that test could have been conducted better

    • @AdamTrackIT
      @AdamTrackIT Month ago +34

      @MrAudio03 It’s normal when you park your car inside during winter. The snow melt of your car at night. Most of the water will go in the drain but the concrete is only a few degrees above freezing and the garage is often kept pretty cool too so the water doesn’t evaporate quickly.

    • @MrAudio03
      @MrAudio03 Month ago +117

      @AdamTrackITI understand that but I’ve seen hundreds of houses that have a negative slope into the garage just like this. (You can tell quite easily from the video) The water stains go back into the garage and not toward the garage door. Not normal. Can lead to issues.

      @admincomments you have weak joints at elbow, rice bucket would train forearms/wrists/elbow, just like Willy mentioned how he feels the heat/sorriness right before bicep muscle above the elbow. It's known fact about this workout and i highly recommend to people. Same with Iron bucket, although just put them in a sand bag to make it less messy. PRO TIP.... uh... make sure you have a good seal on that rice bucket if you live in warm climates lmao.

    I am only 10 min in and maybe you realize later in the video, but as a ballet dancer I can tell you that a big difference between the Maasai jumpers and your jumps, is that they are coming down on their whole foot, also heels, before they jump uo again. You were jumping from the ball of your foot all the time, which is not only much more tiring for your legs, but also dangerous in the long run

    • @justakathings

      @beaub152 Month ago +2

      More dangerous to decrease the impulse?

    • @haph2087
      @haph2087 Month ago +6

      @beaub152 Presumably the concern is *what* takes the impact. The “goal” of the exercise is to damage the bone, not the tendons, so landing in a way that does that would have a better chance to achieve that goal.
      Still seems like a dumb goal to me.

    • @nntynine
      @nntynine Month ago +14

      No maasai jumps often have no heels touching the floor at all because that requires leas strength to do. It’s also not to grow taller, it’s a good exercise to increase tendon strength and jump power but it’s actually a dance they do for ceremony

    • @TomoHawKzZ
      @TomoHawKzZ Month ago +6

      Nah, they jump on their toes. It strengthens the fuck out of the tibialis and it hardens the tendons. I don't think it will make you taller, but it definitely makes you able to run quicker and jump higher. Makes your foot act like it's spring loaded when the tendons start to harden and tighten.

    Will.! I wanted to share this for a while. You have been such an inspiration to me and the reason why i started my journey. May 8 2024 i was 290 lbs and clocked in at 42% fat. I was miserable and unable do really do anything. Lost someone very close to me and i was starting to give up. I was only eating junk food, drinking a lot, smoking and just sitting all day playing video games not caring about my health and i was paying for it every single day. Knees took a big hit and my back was almost broken. I finally realized that it was time to change and do things different and think about my future. I started prepping meals and ONLY eat healthy. I couldn't face the shame at the public gym so i bought a stationary bike and i built a small gym at home and started to train 3 times a week. 4 months past and i had lost about 35 pounds, i was feeling pretty good and then started to train 4 times a week. Fast forward today, I am 165 lbs, 5.9" and my percentage fat is about 16% (watch 5 pro). I am 36 years old and I don't think i have ever felt this good in my life minus the little pain here and there but that is a small cost compared to the way i felt at the start of it. Every morning now i wake up and have a smile on my face. I want to say, Thank you Will. Thank you for opening my eyes and make me realize that anyone can accomplish what seems impossible at first. With a little bit of motivation, discipline and effort, anything is achievable.! You are an amazing person and a role model to a lot of us. Keep doing what you do and spreading positivity the way you always had.!

And in many cases, the English isn’t even that good. I like tai chi and used to do it when I was younger, but the idea that doing it for a few minutes a day is going to make you jacked is ludicrous.

    • @ChoJun69
      @ChoJun69 5 days ago

      also mentality, the board breaking was done pretty bad, since someone else has to hold them as they give in too much with 1 hand holding by yourself, but him giving up before even doing the hit is a big no-no in a lot of sports, you NEED to believe you can do it, that shit makes massive difference. Hyped up and just pumped to go full out on PR lift vs normal lazy day type of levels difference.

    Iron palm deadens your nerves in your hands. You will end up with constantly numb hands eventually. P.S. if you are determined to do it though , I would recommend you stop with the dog paw stuff and get some lidocaine cream.

    • @Asto508
      @Asto508 Month ago +2

      I assume this will hurt your finger agility in the long run and will eventually lead to arthritis. I personally refuse to do these kind of exercises because my hands and fingers are what pay my bills and all my hobbies require nimble hands. It's nice to be able to punch with less risk of injury if you need it, but if you can't use your hands anymore, it's not a price worth paying.

    • @wendellsmith1349
      @wendellsmith1349 Month ago +2

      @Asto508 Yes. It is very much Yin and Yang. You get a hand that can break anything ,but you give up feeling and dexterity. Yes when they are old they cannot do delicate movements. Most practitioners in the old days only worked one hand for that reason. Thai boxers roll glass bottles across their shins to accomplish the same things . Those guys cannot walk when they get old.

      @Luan25597 it's uncooked rice lol you can use it for two years and still just rince it for 10 mins before cooking it and eating perfectly good rice. Just keep it dry
