Played for over 2 years and anyone playing this game should not be building older toons at all or ranking them. i however went ahead and did it for all seven reds including minions just for my own goal because all my roster is seven reds except those requiring dark promo credits. This cost you 1 million pretty much 150k/250k/500k ranking from 5/6/7. Gold best spent on leveling a toon you're using everyday. Also for me, there's 125 toons that i see myself using everyday. If I had the choice all these would be lvl 100. At this moment there's 279 toons or 282 if you count the 3 new Merc for Money. So on avg there would be 130/282 toons that i consider worth a damn. That means 130 toons are worthy of G15/G16/G17/18 and someone of them G18 or G19 and higher. I have over 54 G18 toons on my account. Working on 3 Cabal, Peni and Deathpool, Dormammu so that 60 right there. I have resources to many tons of G16s while G17 can be limited but in the future G17 will be the new norm just like G16 currently is. And to anyone who is new. Any new character released. G15 that toon right away. They will be good for your roster and might be good for 1-2 years and saves you time and resources. I'm behind on Cabal but now i been with a better alliance for 2 months gold will be building up for me. I in a top 50 War and 100-250 raid Alliance. My old Alliance was very casual and holding me back. Don't let an Alliance hold your account back if you can do end game count. And please do not waste your gold in the store on G19 gear. Let it come to you naturally unless you are 6 unique away from getting a toon to G19. 6 x 800k = 4.8 million which is a lot of gold but speeds up process if you already have your planned DD7 toons at lvl 100. I am not ready for DD7 yet and i don' want to spend any real money getting the mephisto
You always know that when someone says something is not up for discussion, you're not dealing with someone who's worth conversing with :) Congrats on your milestone! I generally build tall, but I do like exceptions that allow me to widen out a bit, especially if it's related to mutants.
Nav you are right buddy. Thank you for watching and thank you for the support. I’m sure one day I’ll get to that place in the game where I have the exceptions myself it will all be Spider-Verse related though.
@@thebigpositivegeek I recently got my War Dogs up to G13. I wanted to use them (b/c I like Wakanda stuff) for the Gamma raid and also for the Doom node. Now I'm at another Doom node and it's either Power Armor or Black Order lol
I'm also completely free to play and have been playing for 1003 days. Everything you said in the video is spot on, especially your golden rule. I beat DD2 on day 130, DD3 on day 247, DD4 on day 358, DD5 on day 588 and DD6 on 968. One of the best pieces of advice I got very early playing this game was that just like a skyscrapper your roster should never have floor 13, don't take any character to T13 unless you plan to take them to T14. The devs designed the level stat boosts so that T12 and T13 are very similar, however the stat boost to T14 gives you a practically brand new character in comparison. Thanks for the video!
Instead of the broad discussion, I was looking for more granular info on team choices, resource investments, specific barriers and hurdles to manage, etc., as you progressed.
This makes me feel a lot better. I may have been somewhat doing tall roster unknowingly and just started branching into wider roster recently because I felt it must be weird that for as long as I have played the game (which is relatively very short compared to you) that I wasn't able to unlock/participate in more contents. Knowing the two side of these roster spectrum, I'll have to reconsider where is the happy level for me going from here.
That was part of the reason for making this and luckily I started talking to the amazing Jade who’s roster building style is wide and they were happy to share their experiences so I had a good outlook of other sides of the coin.
It's definitely possible, but the point is why would you want to get to the endgame that fast. It's called "end" game for a reason. It's at the end. You're skipping a whole game and tons of fun content in between if you just rush to the end. If you want to be competitive and care for the top spot on the leaderboards, then sure, go for it, I'm not judging (on the contrary, I congratulate you for the achievement!), but if you want to enjoy everything the game has to offer, then a wider roster like I do is probably the best option, even though I probably go to the other extreme and should start narrowing down a bit more haha! Sure, you'll always be lagging behind, but in the meantime you get to enjoy things at your own pace and use a wider variety of characters that you wouldn't have used otherwise. And you'll always be motivated to keep going, because with constant updates you never run out of new things to do. That's probably why so many players burn out and leave the game after a while. They complain that there's not enough good content to keep them entertained, but at the same time they don't want to enjoy the content that is there just because it's "old" and not "relevant" anymore and would rather skip to the end. I guess that people just have different goals when it comes to MSF, and that's okay! Good job on Super Skrull, I won't be seeing him for at least another couple of years haha!
That’s was the reason for my golden rule at the start of the video. It’s your game so as long as you’re enjoying it then that’s the main thing. Thank you for watching and thank you for the awesome comment.
Very helpful! I can describe my roster as narrow with tiers. I’ve got the few I’ve intentionally built, then there’s the chasing squirrels tier, where I build whatever they tell me up to G13.
@Wordfishtrombone shall we say that’s were my previous partner and I would disagree. Especially if you are F2P. Just from the Gold and training materials stand point.
It's about your goals. You will eventually need a wide roster to unlock everything & do everything. So it's either build tall & go all out for metas like SuS, Apoc & Mep, then circle back, or go for lower-hanging fruits first & slowly build up to the metas. For me, I build my fav characters that I know I will use frequently. Some happen to be good, like Gambit, Deathpool & Ghost Riders. For that I'm glad. But I don't chase for the top tier rewards & accept it'll be a long time before I get Apoc, SuS & Mep, so I play it my way in that sense.
