Up close with our Philippine Eagle for the first time! - Part 2

- This is part 2 of our visit to the Philippine Eagle Center and we were so lucky that we're able to talk to one of the trainers at PEC, Lohwana, and we're able to understand more about our national bird.
The Philippine Eagle is the Philippines' national bird, a critically endangered species of eagle which is endemic to forests in the Philippines, and one of the largest, if not the largest, bird of prey in the world.
Seeing it for the first time, the feeling is overwhelming especially when one looks intently at its blue eyes and fine feathers and oh-so-big wing span. The size of the bird itself is incredible.
We highly encourage everyone to visit the center as this is one way to help the PEC/ PEF in its thrust of conservation and to rally "the Filipino people to join us in saving eagles, protecting forests, and securing our future."

Hello, Edgardo. We don't know Ron as we were tourist ourselves. We only met lohwana during our visit. :)
