let it be known that Vegeta never used ssj god in the anime, but only in the movie and manga. I learned from this, like ssj 3, that just because vegeta never used the ssj god form, didn't mean he couldn't do it. This reasoning could perhaps be also said for the reason why Goku and Vegeta neglected to use the ssj 1 stage 3 muscle form (Ultra SSJ) like Future Trunks, even though Goku used it once in the manga/ anime , while Vegeta chose not to rely on the form's ability due to its potential weakness. Based on these examples, the series seems to indicate that saiyans who train alot and are powerful enough to raise their ki to higher power levels that surpass the limits of a particular ssj level of power are very capable of achieving higher ssj forms, such as ssj 3, if they want to.

After returning to an adult, Vegeta can say SS3 is more useful for their kid bodies (since theres more a need for a strength boost, and something like..youthful energy better resists the demands on the body), and not as good for adult bodies.
I may be imagining this, but wasn’t this an explanation in dragon ball GT? Or was it the opposite ? I feel like in GT Goku either had an easier time because of his small body, or a harder time.
Vegeta gets a W with this episode with SSJ3. The coolest thing about this transformation is that unlike Goku and Gotenks who awakened Super Saiyan 3 and they lose they first fight... Vegeta defeated Tamagami in both Hand-to-hand and intellectual combat.
Still wasn’t the main villain. He only beat the side quest. Doesn’t compare, with all due respect. I’ll add that Goku grabbed Buu by the head and gave him paddle-ball punches.
Bruh Goku first fight as SS3 didn't lose, he only buy time for Trunks to get the radar, plus he cannot do it longer as the form take away his "living" time on earth during that point.
Now that Vegeta knows SSJ3 ik for a fact we're gonna get an awesome battle with them both as SSJ3 fighting together and possibly a new fusion that also uses SSJ3 🔥
You actually see the kraken again at the very end of the episode as they are leaving in the ship just floating and chilling on the water in the background
To the people asking why Vegeta didn't go SS3 against Beerus... because Super was written BEFORE Daima and Toriyama still hadn't thought about giving Vegeta SS3.. is that so hard to understand?
They are asking why in the STORY.. obviously the amswer is because he hadn't made it yet. Just like how dragon ball z completely changed goku and piccolo's origins... Its just lame that they made plot holes
@@randybobandy9828 if there has to be a reason then it is likely that Vegeta feels like Ssj2 is better suited. We all know Ssj3 has a heavy stamina drain. I'd say Ssj2 is likely still the most balanced and refined form of Ssj. Ssj3 is likely a "hyperdrive" form. Goku likes to sacrifice his body for temporary power ups like in Kaioken. We haven't seen Vegeta take this approach in anyway until Ultra Ego where the physical tax has a direct more effective pay off (getting constant power boost through damage received). So Vegeta likely doesn't like the strategy of short sustainability. He prefers a long term sustainable form, unless the payoff balances the drawback. Goku has the strategy to be confident that he can get the job done before the drawback and can heal afterwards.
There is something that we have to acknowledge! Super Saiyan 3, it has never gotten a win no matter who used it. Goku could not beat Fat Buu, (he was thrashing about Fat Buu using Super Saiyan 3, but Goku was knocked out and did not see what happened in the fight between Fat Buu and Vegeta and even Majin Buu's regeneration, and even though he was a Spirit and could handle a little less energy drainage that a full mortal body, Majin Buu would likely outlast him with his stamina and regeneration if it came to that), Gotenks didn't beat Super Buu, and even got absorbed by Super Buu, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku did not beat Kid Buu, he was draining too much energy, and Kid Buu was going to outlast him, with his great stamina and regeneration, and even at the last scene with the Spirit Bomb Goku even acknowledges that the battle with Kid Buu was not a one on one fight, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku lost against Beerus. Vegeta is the only character who has gotten a win in Super Saiyan 3 in this fight against Tamagami 2!!
@hurricane7727 ok, yes to hirudigarn, he did not defeat janempa (fat janemba) he pushed back until it forced a transformation. And alternate timelines accepted..... movie goku in both those was way stronger than Canon timeline goku. But yes, absolutely true point you make.

They've been teasing how smart Kuu is the whole time. It was his idea to run off and buy Duu chocolate (both times), he's said various things that hint that his strength lies in brains as opposed to brawn. And, of course, he comes in with the clutch assist for the math problem and secures the victory. All while Dr Arinsu is just standing there dumbfounded, lol.
I’ve got a feeling that kuu is going to help goku and his folks. Seeing how he wasn’t recognized for his contribution in that scene when he brings it up. Just look at his expression
For any of us who still have a problem with Prince’s SS3 transformation not being displayed in DBS: 1. The SS3 mutation is ONLY beneficial when you need a powerful boost to finish your opp. quickly. The fight with T2 in Daima demonstrates just how judicial Vegeta is at using this form. He normally has no qualms about using trusted transformations for more power when he feels threatened whereas Son prefers to paint himself into a corner before upping the ante. The fact that Prince chose to wade the fight out as long as possible using SS & SS2 before bringing the fight to its conclusion (SS3), speaks volumes. Some alternatives that apply outside of this rule of thumb using SS3 are fusion and fighting in “other world,” halo style 😇. 2. Prince was informed by King Kai that Beerus gave Son a mean L while he was in SS3. We know he carries disdain for any forms that have major drawbacks in high level combat (ex.Cell Saga intentionally didn’t use Grade 3) so why would he use SS3 to probe a fight with a God that already KO’d Kakarot with a 2 piece? It’s just not smart. 3. Speculation Time: I don’t think Prince trusts the SS3 form the way Son does. In DBS, I’m not sure he even likes using SS2 because much of the time, its a bit difficult to discern, but I think if he’s not using Blue he’s trying to push his SS form beyond its limits. I think Vegeta believes that the SS form is still best for combat and holds a more powerful transformation outside of the mutations when he’s not dripped out in God Ki. 4. Which brings me to the Rage boosts. Both Trunks and Vegeta experience mysterious and very potent augmentations from the SS state when they tap into an extreme rage. The transformations they undergo bypass the SS mutations completely. It’s almost as if their SS state instinctively evolves to be able to at least give them a true fighting chance. Prince goes from being no match for Beerus in his chill state to throwing hands and sparring with the destroyer god. This is especially more true of Trunks as he couldn’t even tap into the SS3 mutation. However, he goes from getting rag dolled by Black and Zamasu in his SS2 state and now we see his SS state cloaking itself in divine ki: almost like it INSTINCTIVELY EVOLVED b/c he was exposed to his dads blue state.
I cannot wait to see what a challenge Kuu and Duu represent when they fuse. Kuus brains and Duus brawn. They're like the exact opposite of a (hopefully SSJ3) Vegito fusion. Seeing that battle is gonna be peak, for sure.
Didn’t see or hear this anywhere so here is an exclusive for the GEEKDOM Community. If you go back to Ep. 1 of Diama. Look at Goku and Vegeta’s fight. It ends with a classic Beam Battle, when it explodes Goku comes from the smoke and catches Vegeta off Guard and Goku PUNCHES him, winning the match Vegeta does this to the Tamagami. He shoots his Galic Gun - The Tamagami eventually deflects it but gets caught off guard for Vegeta to lay a solid PUNCH! Nice little nod there and how Vegeta also learns from Goku
@@ActuallyEllrod SS1-SS2 Goku also did that against the Tamagami after he deflected the Kamehameha which means it's definitely something Goku does when the opportunity calls for it.
I have a hunch, that Dr Arinsu will be absorbed by majin Kuu when they’re tired of taking commands or not getting the recognition he wants (just a hunch)
Ehhh, I still think its a cope/retcon/inconsistently to say Vegeta wouldn't use SSJ3 against Beerus when EVERYTHING was potentially on the line, and Vegeta was more concerned and scared of Beerus then we've pretty much seen him of anyone besides maybe Frieza. Stamina wouldn't matter in that scenario when fighting an overwhelming opponent who you know could end you in seconds. Also, it's just nonsensical given the dialogue that everyone uses to say that Vegeta "surpassed Goku in that moment." Unless we're to believe that despite Vegeta having SSJ3, that Goku was significantly stronger than him anyways. Also, Vegetas notable shock when King Kai tells him Goku was defeated in just a few blows. I just don't think it makes much sense when you take Super into account. It's a light retcon or inconsistency, but it's still an inconsistency, regardless. Like the Potara/ KibitoKai problem between Daima and Super. (A much bigger inconsistency) That being said, by the time Vegeta is training with Whis, it's obvious Vegeta could have done SSJ3 if he felt like it. By that point, he has far surpassed the necessary power needed to do the form. This is more just an issue with Battle of Gods and early early Super.
That's facts. I'm loving Daima much more than DBs, but I can't just say Daima is retconing stuff and creating potholes. We all knew that DBs Vegeta couldn't go ssj3, this episode happened and now ppl are acting like Vegeta had it all along. It's just cope.
Also the whole thing about "Vegeta not using the lesser forms" is just false, he uses various forms of SSJ in the U6 vs 7 arc, Black Arc, ToP, Broly Movie, Moro Arc and the Granolah Arc, I don't see why people are trying so hard to justify the fact that the only reason Vegeta has it is because Toriyama wanted him to despite everything pointing to him not having it (especially prior to his God training)
Did you notice… 1: the spikes on the one Vegeta fought resembles the spikes on omega shenron? 2: Majin Kuu looks like nova shenron 3: the whole plot arc is very similar to GT (dragon balls turning them into kids forcing Goku to travel to another world).
@@CurtisDProductions Trunks fought at God levels at SS2 also. Even Goku skipped SS3 after using SS2 and went straight to God against Both Jiren and Caulifla + Kale
"Why didn't vegeta use ssj3 against beerus" Lets go through this, So ssj3 seems to take longer to transform than ssj2, So really theres your answer, He was extremely mad so just transformed into the easiest form to channel his rage
I came to this same conclusion. If we are to assume that SS3 would take him just as long as it did in DAIMA, then we can assume he can’t tap into it on instincts alone. Bulma being slapped INSTANTLY triggered him to SS2.
I thought when Vegeta raged out on Beerus someone said he had surpassed Goku SSJ3. Also when Trunks came back he faced Goku SSJ3. When he brought it to Vegeta when they fought. Vegeta never said he couldn’t do it. He was more like if you thought that was power then let me show you something else. Basically I always thought he could go SSJ3 but didn’t bc of the draw backs. It is nice to get it officially in the canon. Thanks for the gift Big Tori.
I'm sure they will get their wish soon, but because of transformations they probably made them a kid again so they didn't have to introduce a new one in between buu and super. It's looking like they are going to get wished back soon and will have to fight either gomah or the majins
Vegeta's SS3 form shown in Daima is correct for the Future telling of Ultra Ego Vegeta as he is utilizing a combination of SS3 mixed with Ultra Ego and God State making that Ultra Ego God or Destruction State and its always made sense for him to use SS3 mixed with Ultra Ego as it helps the Ego state also his hair is very similar then too... Eventually i think Vegeta will continue to keep utilizing the form and even perfecting a deeper form for SS3 and Ultra Ego in the future!
I think we’re good on ultra ego or anything related to DBS. For that matter. Let’s just call this a fresh start. Would be a shame for this series to lead into the disrespectful mess we call DBS.
@@courve lol/ i feel the pain but why would toriyama create a non canon not related to DBS series?? he did contribute heavily to dbs to anime and manga. then did his own movies for dbs. this kind of explains the enraged ss2 being so powerful vs beerus now too. if vege already had his ss3. and even those kakarott dbz game and its dlcs i think. which even has a post buu saga goku vs vegeta match. where now unsurprisingly ss2 vegeta can keep up with ss3 goku. it all kinda makes sense... lol dont have to like it but it is what it is. vegeta is somewhat goku true equal now. goku is number one hype is sadly only in dbz... hopefully we see more of ss3 in the lore now for future dragonball content. even tho higher forms exist. its always a nice throwback. to when saiyan power was hype of dragonball. at least broly is canon now tho and can carry on that legacy.
@@ssppeeaarr not sure I can agree. Daima has already contradicted DBS in a fundamental way just in the first episode. In Daima, Shin explains to Goku that the magic inside Buu’s body is the reason why fusion was undone. In the DBS anime, neither Shin nor Goku knew it was possible to de-fuse, and it was Gowasu that first explained it was even possible at all despite taking place after the time period of Daima. Further, in the DBS, manga, Shin and Kibito are restored by using the Namek dragon balls to de-fuse.
This is one of the few reasons that make Daima relevant: It answers unknown questions like did Vegeta ever use SSJ3? Now we know because of Daima. I can also appreciate the lore behind the shows episodes as well.
Ok so Daima has been awesome. And I've loved every second of it... until this Vegeta SSJ3 bullshit. This was clearly fan service and just to say they got to use the original SSJ3 design. This breaks cannon in Super when Vegeta had his "MY BULMA" moment against Beerus. Why didn't he turn SSJ3 then? Right, because he couldn't, and he was never suppossed to. Such a lame decision to bring this in now. Wtf
What I'm getting from this is that you're upset because this confirms that Daima doesn't connect to Super and exists in a different timeline, just like all the other series-GT, Super, and the original manga. Let's be clear: Super was nothing but a disappointing fan service show.
@@AdrianD_52 I can agree to that. The SSJ transformations were a joke in Super after SSJG and SSJB got introduced. Still, in my opinion, it feels so inconsistent to have all these made up "timelines" just to keep juicing the DB franchise, because it keeps inserting more and more cannon breaks and inconsistencies. Order matters, at least to me. And this just invalidates previous products we got before and thought were the most legitimate. The more stuff like this keeps coming, although awesome, it keeps breaking things just for fan service and looses legitimacy in my eyes. Everything was going well until Ep.12, lets see what happens next.
it may be less draining in the smaller body considering how calm he was while fighting in ss3. also he probably never went back to it because his fully mastered super saiyan form was stronger and more efficient in super.
I reckon the difference in SS3 would be less pronounced had they still been adults. Reason it gives off that Super Sonic vibe is because Classic Sonic was only like 3ft tall. The hair scaling with body size imo is actually really smart. I know Gotenks gets the droop but that's a fusion of two so you could theorize twice the hair? Fusions do some weird stuff with Gotenks with his purple patches as is in base form. I feel this redesign of 3 wouldn't suit Adult Vegeta too well. add more to the bottom and let it flair up i guess? Since naturally speaking Vegeta's hair is much higher standing than Goku's 3 tall spikes with lower hanging main spikes, Vegeta has one distinct spike up the rest of his hair follows on and they've represented that well with this SSJ3 form! I love it.
@ I did say gotenks is a whole other mess and could certainly just be a product of its time. Not an accurate representation of a child ssj3. Why does he have purple in his base form? Trunks didn’t have purple hair either. Goten didn’t either, neither of them can even go ssj2 by themselves so a lot of the visual design is down to the fusion technique and not their individual strengths. So I feel this ssj3 form of vegeta is actually paying attention to scale this time over style which is really the opposite of what they were going for when they designed gotenks. It was all style over form. No other reason for the purple in his base form or why he could just go ssj3 without ever achieving it or the lesser 2 form by themselves. There’s no logic besides they thought it looked cool. This time it seems they’ve paid close attention to how long hair would scale and sit on a child vegeta, there ain’t no way they paid attention with gotenks. He was basically a separate character in both power and design.
If we wan talk about a retcon, lets talk about how Piccolo told Neva he can't speak Namekian despite having a conversation in Namekian with Kami during the world martial arts tournament & also being merged with Nail who also spoke Namekian.
I thought that Vegeta being eaten by the Kraken and being shown the teeth and all of that was a reference to Dragon Ball GT when Goku was in the mouth of that giant who had the Dragon Ball imbedded into his tooth.
Don’t get why there was sooooo much whining about spoilers on the last video. Bruh… every channel had Vegeta SSJ3 thumbnails and or in the title of the video. The thumbnail is what made me go back and watch Daima after pausing. Good grief.
Lol, I agree...people acting like this is a new thing, even with Geekdom. Going online or to social media when you're not wanting to be spoiled is a bad idea, dontchano
Definitely right but those videos weren't uploaded one minute after the actual episode dropped so at least people had the chance to view the episode...what geekdom101 did was outright insensitive
Remember in GT how kid Vegeta had a badass fight and went SSJ3 to get a clean, decisive win? And remember all the deep new lore that answered so many questions and left us wanting more?
I mean this is kind of self-explanatory considering where they are now in power levels, but what had me laughing hard was when Vegeta told Goku he's grown from eating bugs.
Ssj 3 is power focused and energy drainer. Vegeta knew Bill's was out classing him in every other Stat too. It was not going to give him the upper hand (of course I know this is a retconned explanation, but it doesn't break Canon, it's just characterization) . Remember how Vegeta felt towards Bills. And the power of his ssj3 could have been felt through the punch he gave bills while enraged. It literally can be explained in many ways, and remain canon
@@Masterbehaterit would depend on whether it’s stated in the manga or the anime. The two are different enough to be 2 separate continuities and Daima is likely made in line with the super manga since it’s the one that’s currently ahead and continuing the story.
Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta just destroyed the cannon DBS timeline. Vegeta didn't use SS3 against Beerus. I wonder how this new timeline of Dragon Ball Daima will affect DBS.
There is no canon destroyed. It would be destroyed if they said he COULDN'T use it against Beerus. It doesn't matter that he didn't. They never said he couldn't do it. So ultimately, him not using it doesn't matter. You can feel that it doesn't make sense in your opinion, but no, it is not canon breaking. Stop over thinking it. It's not that deep. Dragon Ball fans are always doing this lol
My best assumption why vegeta didn’t use ss3 is like in the manga when he finally learned how to use instant transmission and stated he didn’t want to copy gokus technique that it was a goku move basically same with super sayain 3 a one and done time , (pause ) hope geekdom sees this to.
Vegeta shouldn’t be on the same level as Goku even if he has super Sayain 3. Because super opens with Vegeta training to surpass Goku since Goku is still stronger than him that’s why him raging was such a big deal and why he was so desperate to train with Whis
Dude so he dont turn ssj3 vs Berus cuz its drain energy but he do it for tamagami 😅😅 fe fight Berus not even a minute after that rage, thats a plot hole and you cant defend that one

The fight was cool. And refreshing only because the fight scenes from Super, and all the new shit has been trash. Except for the Broly movie. But to say this fight was reminiscent to something out of the previous era aka DBZ is a stretch my guy. No offense but you’re getting amazed off of basic shit tbh. And that’s why the show will never evolve because fans like you satisfied with mediocrity.
my fav thing is when this episode dropped there were people trying to talk themselves into saying it wasn't ss3 vegeta. for some reason they didn't want ss3 vegeta to be canon.
Vegeta, knowing that Goku achieved a form beyond his plus his boys combined, also did so would be more than enough of a motivator for Vegeta to train for this.
Vegeta could have played Tamagami. His SSJ 3 was at its limit, but he kept his composure bluffed Tamagami and used his body language to signal his dominance.
With super saiyan 3 vegeta: we already got an explanation in super that they can just train their ssj1 and ssj2 forms to surpass ss3 because of the drawback of Ssj3 energy consumption. Basically think of all the S cells(which was already referenced in Buu saga with the appearance of ssj3) activated and overcharged. This would explain the energy consumption as explained in Goku Black arc.
Can definetly feel toriyama in this episode.

@@davidbowerman3089What an ignorant thing to say. You're still showing bias from one character over another. Goku being exposed to a real moon and having his tail already when he needed it pulled is all the same. The machine was a faster way more efficient way. It's called technology. It was a smart play. Saying he had less help is ridiculous because that isn't the point. They both still had help in their own way. Again, if Vegeta didn't do it on his own neither did Goku. That's the end of that story. My point was proven. I don't give a damn if you are a Goku fan or not. Stick to the facts.
Not that I have an issue with him getting ssj3, but the argument that it doesn't fit his fighting style & thats why he doesn't use it against beerus is just silly lol. He saw his wife get slapped. He would've gone too his absolute strongest form to finish him off, not to have a prolonged battle. Its just something the writers don't give you an awnser for & it doesn't make sense
The answer is that nobody thought about Daima at that point in time. It just didn't exist.
My headcannon is that Vegeta just went beserk and didn’t really think about it in the moment

@randybobandy9828 Same answer
@_bruno.pereira literally. People over thinking it
@@randybobandy9828 if there has to be a reason then it is likely that Vegeta feels like Ssj2 is better suited.
It beat Hirudegarn and Fat Janembaif we are counting alt Timelines
@hurricane7727 ok, yes to hirudigarn, he did not defeat janempa (fat janemba) he pushed back until it forced a transformation. And alternate timelines accepted..... movie goku in both those was way stronger than Canon timeline goku. But yes, absolutely true point you make.

I knew kuu was gonna solve the problem 💯 they're definitely gonna fuse
Majin Count Duukuu!
Actually, Kuu is not even evil. Pretty noble character (although has a very goofy appearance)
For any of us who still have a problem with Prince’s SS3 transformation not being displayed in DBS:
She gave Duu the credit for solving the math problem not even she could solve. That is the assist Cuu was referring to
I cannot wait to see what a challenge Kuu and Duu represent when they fuse. Kuus brains and Duus brawn. They're like the exact opposite of a (hopefully SSJ3) Vegito fusion. Seeing that battle is gonna be peak, for sure.
Did I get mixed up?
Didn’t see or hear this anywhere so here is an exclusive for the GEEKDOM Community.
If you go back to Ep. 1 of Diama. Look at Goku and Vegeta’s fight. It ends with a classic Beam Battle, when it explodes Goku comes from the smoke and catches Vegeta off Guard and Goku PUNCHES him, winning the match
Vegeta does this to the Tamagami.
He shoots his Galic Gun - The Tamagami eventually deflects it but gets caught off guard for Vegeta to lay a solid PUNCH!
Nice little nod there and how Vegeta also learns from Goku
I'll trust you on that, good catch

@@ssppeeaarrbecause dbs is toei/toyataro now…. Daima is a continuation of the original DB manga
Dragon Ball fans overthink things. Most of super wasn't even written by Toriyama and he likely did not even remember or care about the events of BoG.
Exactly, and they didn't even create a normal ssj3 but a weird one with the hair upwards
it may be less draining in the smaller body considering how calm he was while fighting in ss3. also he probably never went back to it because his fully mastered super saiyan form was stronger and more efficient in super.
I love it.
Except ssj3 gotenks has the fukl hair like goku.

RIP to those theory videos that said Vegeta couldn't go SS3. I & The videogames knew he always had it in him!
No one mentioning how Vegeta catching Tama was like how he caught Semi-Perfect Cell when he fought as Super Vegeta
Am I crazy or is the supreme kai skin color different i thought it was purple but it looks pink in this maybe its the lighting
_My SS3 Vegeta shirt otw since yesterday. Lol_
Good video. This episode was so good.
He fought beeerus for 2 seconds in his super Saiyan 2… really wouldn’t make a difference
Why can't they use God ki on ssj2 or ssj3?
@@Mahvendren Always wondered this, and I think it's cuz that's just not as cool as UI and other new forms
You missed the funniest scene in that episode, Vegeta going super saiyan while listening to the math problem
11:45 Dang she's so upset that Kuu wasn't able to win his battle that she refuses to acknowledge other ways he can contribute.
