    the name of dynamic memory RAM (random access memory) goes back to a very beginning of computer era. in that times persistent datastorages was based on tape - so there was no way to access data randomly, it was sequensial, and you constantly needed to wind tape - which was a a time consuming process. Dynamic memory have no such lmitation - you can read any region in any time - it was a huge adwantage - so it was called Random Access Memory (RAM) in oposite to sequential access in tape-based data storage.
    this is a story I know. :)

    Thank you. What about SSD, maybe it can be used as RAM? what do you think?
