Hi everybody! I ordered one of these yesterday, I almost didn’t because of the lack of a sub out and bass management tho. I was ready to grab a WiiM ultra (and possibly another dac to bypass the WiiM) to feed my amp and speakers in the living room, but this’ll work just fine for awhile at least. Where else am I gonna find a decent dac with a remote and hdmi for this price? Thanks for the quick review, cya next time!
I guess the question is, "is there something wrong with it?" and I don't think Toid has the test equipment to tell us that. The preamp and bluetooth features /could/ theoretically be audible if they aren't designed or used properly, but if the DAC portion is audible then this product is broken and Fosi needs to send someone back to school. Bluetooth is really its own bag of worms ;).
It would be a good addition to a wiim Pro. (Not as much with the wiim pro plus). I like the volume control with visual indicators a lot better than wiim's app volume. Just bypass the wiim volume control and do it with the dac as preamp.
Hi Toids... thanks for the review. One question... can you confirm if one can use both outputs, xlr and rca at the same time? I would like to use xlr to my Fosi V3 mono and use the rca to drive an active subwoofer. Thanks!!

Ah. That’s rough. I think they sold out pretty quick. You must have been right in it. I got one of those. I was going put it in this video, but I didn’t really get a good chance to properly test it. I’ll get a video out on it soon..
They're great. Their budget amps have monoblock functionality and truly compete with $1000 monoblock amps. Especially if you mod it just a little bit and add op amps. I personally went with the burson audio v7 vivid.
i have the za3 where i can use the xlr output of the zd3 but i also want to use my SE headphone amp with it. if there is an option for switching the output between xlr and rca, that would be great. simultaneous output to both xlr and rca would work as well. but if xlr takes priority when rca and xlr both are connected, that would be a problem for my case. if anyone knows anything about it please share. Thanks a lot.
Connected ZD3 as pure DAC to A6. Set ZD3 to bypass. Wondering why when playing DSD files, the A6 volume control is disabled. Not sure if it's related to native decoding. Fix/workarounds? TIA

i wonder if you can use the balanced output for the monoblocks and the rca for a sub out at the same time
would you please check if on the tv that is connected to this dac you need to put on pcm or you can use passthrough on most content
